Looking for a strong, intelligent, well mannered, Master / Mistress who is secure in their skin and not intimidated by a strong, intelligent, bit bratty, slave.

This means not being intimidated if i (or anyone else for that matter) actually knows something that you have yet to discover.

It has nothing to do with intelligence or Dominance, it has to do with acknowledging that the more one learns the more one realizes how very little they actually know.

The One who will own me is secure enough to say, "I didn't know that; tell me more..." Don't be mistaken by believing that because i am a slave, i must know less than my Master.

Hard limits: (no exceptions)

1) No married or attached men who wish too keep me a secret from their significant other. I'm currently rebuilding myself esteem from the pommeling my ex-Master of 4 years bestowed upon my unsuspecting sense of dignity and self worth. Succubus!

Learning to love yourself again is so much harder than it sounds.

2)No overly religious or conservative people, period!
Sorry life is too short to be petty and short sighted as I believe very religious and conservative people are. Being spiritual is one thing but usually Christians rub me the wrong way, unless they act like a real Christians... in my lifetime I've only met two. i am a Buddhist and would need you to respect that; nottry and change my beliefs.

3) Confident and an adult. You must be a grown up, preferably over 40, but some people in their 30's are old souls enough to pull it off. Please be strong, assertive, comfortable with yourself and have worked out most of your demons that we all have. You must have no need to berate others to make yourself feel superior.

4) Be intelligent! I have a complicated mind that works really fast; (it may be intelligence, it may be ADD, but there it is). I'm not saying you have to have a MAsters degree, one of the quickest people I know is a high school drop out; just don't be... well stupid. Please possess the desire to lean new things as you live this life, have studied interesting things or at least understand what spell check is, sheesh!

You don't need to know how to compute Calculus equations, but at least understand the concept of calculus.

Know that Charles Bukowski , Nathaniel Hawthorne, and other literary greats are writers. Knowing the difference between Jackson Pollock and Degas doesn't hurt either, but I'm not an art snob at all.

I don't intend to come across as elitist, TRULY I don't but my mind needs stimulation, just as my body needs nourishment. S/He who will really own me must be able to carry on an enlightening conversation.

I only reply to messages with photo's attached, or you have them on your profile. I have a photo showing my physical appearance, it's only fair that you do as well.

If don't think me rude, I receive many e-mails and can't possibly reply with a thank you to all (even though my Southern upbringing dictates I should). I have mild dyslexia so writing e-mails is a little harder for me than most. So if you write and I don't write you back, thank you very much for the note, but for one reason or another I don't think we'd work out.

While there are always exceptions, I have my preferences.

Below is a list of what I usually find attractive in a MAN:

*FIT/HWP to a little chunky and physically attractive. I'm only human and as much as I hate to admit it, physically attractiveness is a major factor in my willingness to enter in to a relationship.

* Tall. I hate to admit it but this is almost always the case. I'm 5'9" and live for heals. I prefer a man whom I don't tower over. however a man I was passionately involved with was only 5'8", so go figure.

*In decent shape. I'm not ripped by any means, but am in decent shape and prefer you be as well. I prefer a thicker man to a thin one, but my last Master with whom I was very fond of, and found more attractive than just about anyone before, had about a 29/30" waist and was very slim. As I said, there are ALWAYS exceptions, nothing is set in stone.

*Have no temper/anger issues. Being a hothead and having a temper is NOT the same as being dominant. We all have our issues so if you do have a natural temper, that's okay, but do have it under control.

Availability:

I am a single mother, so my time is very limited. I will not introduce or bring my child in to any relationship I'm involved in, unless I KNOW the person will always be in my life in one capacity or another. I will NOT set my child up to be hurt, left or abandoned by people from my life.

My child knows people I've dated but usually only after we've split up and have remained friends.

In other words my availability is very limited Unfortunately unplanned travel and get together just aren't practical, but with notice changes to my custody schedule are possible.

I hope this gives you an insight to my world and thank you so very much for reading.

I received a note from a Dominant informing me that he and his wife were Catholic and poly. He then went on to say "... I read that you seem to be closed minded about people of faith... perhaps you were hurt by someone who thought they were being righteous
He went on "I will have you be more open-minded about people of faith."

My first instinct was to laugh out-loud as his audacity, but I didn't want to be disrespectful so I decided to explain to him how I felt about religion as a whole in particular, Christianity.
After re-reading my letter to him, I felt it may suffice as a decent blog; at the least, it's a good insight in to my beliefs and thoughts towards organized religion
So here ya go, take it how ever you like, I think it's insightful.

Dear Sir,
My opinion of religion has nothing to do with anyone else's influence or abuse they may or may not have inflicted upon me.

As a matter of fact I was raised in a catholic environment; in New Orleans I attended Catholic schools form Jr high up, and open mindedly studied about the history and philosophy of the churches beliefs.
I simply believe that organized religion, especially Catholicism, is hypocritical, and was put in to place much more for political reasons than spiritual ones: To give the very poor masses some kind of artificial hope, ultimately in order to coerce them in to serving the wealthy.

I have no desire to get in to a 'debate' about religion with Christians. Primarily because Christians are taught to convert rather than learn. By definition the verb, 'debate' means to, 'to engage in argument by discussing opposing points, and to consider something different from ones own point of view'.
However Christian philosophy dictates that they are to recruit more followers, therefore true debate isn't possible. Does that make sense?

However since you took the time to write and were considerate enough to feel I may have been harmed, I will explain my standing on 'faith' and religion. Please know I am not criticizing your personal faith, but rather religion on a whole, so try not to take offense.

I'm an intellectual thinking woman who was raised by an atheist, that never imposed her own personal views upon me, but rather encouraged me to investigate and find my own truth.
After exploring many different forms of organized religions, I didn't feel I had the need for an imaginary friend, which to me is what 'Jesus' is to many people.
I believe there was indeed a man named Jesus that was born and was one of the rare humans born that are truly insightful, intelligent and gifted with true compassion.
Examples that come to mind are, Mahatma Gandhi, Siddhartha Gautama (who through enlightenment became The Buddha), Quan Yin, Desmond Mpilo Tutu, and Aung San Suu Kyi, to name a few.

However, do I believe Jesus was born to a virgin, was killed and returned from the dead? No, I do not. He primarily taught love, acceptance of others, and tolerance, but very seldom is that the emphasis in churches today.
If you want to believe the bible, the only time he really was seriously pissed off, was when he arrives at the temple in Jerusalem and finds that it is being used for selling everything from weapons to prostitutes, and drugs. But what really got his panties in a wad, was profiting int he name of the church, by selling religious trinkets... how much do you suppose a rosary in the Vatican run these days?

As a pinko socialist I like to think this story is a blanket condemnation of capitalism, but I digress, (lol) I believe Jesus would be horrified at what has been built and established in his name today.

My family are primarily Buddhist which I find comforting because of the fact that it's agnostic nature.
I believe we are all connected to all other living things, in a web of electrical charges and impulses. The consciousness we have are synapses between neurons that form patterns called memories, which once we die, either disperse randomly (Atheist belief, Chaos Theory, Entropy) or continue the patterns established and move in to another vessel requiring energy. This to me would explain certain believes involving re-incarnation (perhaps Hawkins Physics?). However the fact remains that NO ONE KNOWS what really happens when you die.
Philosophy aside, lets look at the global affects of the strong hold the Catholic Church has had on the world for hundreds of years. I'm not even going to touch on history, because that would take hours, but just expunge on current situations.
The Roman Catholic Church is a church with enough resources to feed a third world nation. The fact that the church representative called the Pope, pontificates to overpopulated countries, (which have starving unwanted children that are often forced to live in the streets) that birth control is a sin, leading to deadly overpopulation, demanding tithes from people who are starving as it is, to me is the ultimate sin. Don't you think if there really were such a 'God'; that actions and beliefs such as those would be cause for eternal damnation?
Well to me it would, and does.

You claim to be poly and Catholic, I'm sorry but I don't believe one should be able to pick and choose from certain things and ignore others. I mean I'm sure Hitler had a few good ideas concerning economics, but should that excuse his actions?

If you are indeed poly and catholic, then according to your god, you're sinning, right? Wouldn't that lead to being damned to hell? Oh I forgot, you can confess right before you die and all is well.

I REALLY mean no offense, only to say, I have a strong opinion about this subject, and this is it.
It's not a personal attack and I really hope you don't see it as such.

Thank you for your note and I apologize if I got on a tangent but this is something I feel very strongly about.

I wish you happiness and peace, and much luck in your search.
