Currently in grad school. I'm rather nerdy, enjoying videogames, computers, and technologies of all kinds. In the process of building a personal library, one book at a time. I have a couple of tattoos. A few piercings here and there. Long, intellectual discussions about anything I'm at least partly familiar with get me going every time :) I have an undergrad degree in neuropsychology and decided to steer away from that for grad school. I spend a lot of my time thinking I should have gone down the computer science path. I chose to attend school for something else entirely. Full-time student with two part time jobs (both unpaid internships in my field, naturally). Currently looking for someone who lives in the area and wants to play with regularity. School and work are kicking my ass a bit and it would be nice to unwind after a long day. I'm intelligent, witty, sarcastic, and learn quickly. So if you're in the Albany area, my profile sounds appealing, you're between the ages of 20-40, and you're not opposed to occasional smartassery, feel free to send me a message :) I'm also on FL under the same name and would love to find another female sub to chat with!

This is going to be miserably masturbatory:

People often accuse me of being too logically-minded and not giving in enough to the emotional side of things.  That's not entirely true.

While I tend to react to things with logic first and emotions second, it's not because of some inherent lack of emotions.  It's because of how well I understand myself as a emotions-based human being.

I truly believe that if you honestly and completely understand yourself as a human, understand why you react to X situation in X way, and understand why your first reaction should always be to take a step back and analyze a situation - however quickly - before reacting, you will ultimately be in a better position.

And viewing some of the world in a logical fashion first and foremost will benefit you.  Few people like displays of over-emotionality.  And it's damn exhausting for you to deal with.

Sometimes, they're necessary and inevitable.  Hell, my temper can work itself into an impressive fashion at times.

But ultimately, it doesn't benefit me.
