A glimpse of what's in my mind:

"As they each prepared themselves for what was agreed to be a simple face to face meeting, they each, in their own way, had a stirring of hope......the dark, rich fantasies they often dream of when their heads hit the pillow, in those sometimes long moments before sleep takes hold.  They each did the precursory mirror check before getting into the car, to arrive at the correct time, at the arranged restaurant bar.  As she checked her face one last time in the rearview mirror before walking in, the excitement of possibilities mingled with the fear of disappointment.  The heartrates of both were just a bit quicker than usual, as he watched the door out of the corner of his eye, and as she paused before taking the step inside.....each thought the same, "Will he be there, will he be what he said?" and "Will she come, will she be what she said?"  Those moments as the clock ticked towards the TIME........are the excitement, and passion, and hopefulness that we need to bring into the D/s relationship......or am I the fanciful idealist?
