Wow, what a year. Started 2011 off with a visit to the ER, followed by a week "visit" @ the hospital, then I got to ride in an ambulance to another hospital for major surgery, whooo hoooo! That was the easy part, have been recuperating ever since... recuperation sucks @ times! Looking forward to a better & healthier life! |

I hate HATE when family members are ill with pneumonia and having to get spots and things checked out for cancer, I don't like feeling like I am going to lose my best friends, especially since I have rediscovered how much I like (OK, make that LOVE) them again.  |

We just survived through some major cold weather here in Florida this past week, brrrrr!!!
For this area, 17 and 19 were just wayyyy too cold! However, with that being said, it does make us appreciate to warmer temps this afternoon. |

Osteopenia.
Have just been diagnised with this.
Currently doing research to help build up bone density W/O medication.
Would prefer upping my calcium citrate & vit. D3 dosages as well as adding some weight bearing exercises to my daily routine.
Anyone with any knowledge, advice, suggestions, tips, etc are encouraged to write. Thanks in advance. |

Left for Paris, no problems, everything was great, had an awesome time with family that I hadn't seen in as long as 36 years (some had visited the states so it wasn't that long). It was still great to get to visit with as much family as possible, they were great hosts.
Spent a few days in Paris, walking, shopping, taking pictures, walking, taking the Metro, shopping, walking (did I mention that we walked, hehe).
The food and wines were incredible, my relatives can really make someone feel special. Looking forward to going back soon.

You just can't help but absolutely LOVE the weather this weekend!!! Nice and cool, crisp and clean with the most gorgeous blue skies!

I am absolutely loving the cooler weather (no matter how brief and temporary it is) right now. It's been in the high 60's/low 70's in the a.m., great for having the AC off, windows and doors open, maybe a ceiling fan running.
I have been watching USF college football with great interest, GO BULLS! Also, I am watching the Boston Red Sox too.

I enjoy the rain, but I don't enjoy driving in it at night with lots of other drivers speeding around me. The rain we have had lately is the nice steady rain, I like walking in it, I like sleeping when it rains outside.

Had final iron infusion this past Monday, things seem better, we shall see when I get lab results back.
Been raining/storming off and on since yesterday. The lightning dances across the sky and the thunder booms loudly along.
It's a wonderful show to experience.

Two more iron infusions left, not as tired anymore and the insomnia has let me sleep more than just a couple hours a night. It's so much better when all is well.
I enjoy reading interesting & unique profiles as well as journals. "He" has the best journal entries. *wink*

Typical afternoon thunderstorms followed by sauna-type humidity outside... thank you, whoever invented air conditioning.

The rain & cooler weather (not much cool weather actually) followed me back from Seattle. The flight back was pretty good. I am a little tired but I had a good time.

The trip out to Seattle was fairly uneventful, although I did feel a bit queasy towards the last few hours on the plane.
The weather out here is such a wonderful change from what I am used to in FL, so nice & breezy, even a bit chilly at times, OMG!
Friday it rained, the temps were in the 60's (in July?), wow... in Tampa, FL, the weather was in the high 80's and 90's.
I've met up with some of the most interesting people out here, some have proved to be above and beyond my expectations.
The traffic out here is yucky.
The trees and plants and such are a real nice change from what I am used to, haven't seen "the mountain" yet... darn clouds keep getting in my way, grrrrrr....

I think the iron infusions worked, I have doing all kinds of spring cleaning for the past 2 weekends. Went dancing last night in Largo and wasn't tired or sleepy at the end of the night.

Found out today that a very dear friend passed away from breast cancer yesterday afternoon... The doctors "thought" they had gotten all of it a few years ago... guess they didn't.
They gave her 6 months to live, that was 4 months ago. Guess the doctors made another "error".... ooops
I ran into another longtime friend a month ago, she has breast cancer too... She is taking it day to day, she says that she's tried everything and is in "Stage 4". She'll be leaving a husband and a son who is in high school.
