Rare is the day that I write anything about my private life, but last night the highlight of my weekend was tying up my slave and having him worship my feet for about an hour. Halloween was fun, as usual. I had two crazy costumes (Bill Gates and Marie Antoinette), two parties, got to play with my slave, and then enjoyed a big day of rest enjoying "The Walking Dead". I didn't watch football since the Bucs had a bye week, and I wanted more Halloween fun vs. football fun. Also, during my cold I watched a show called "Mantracker" -- it was fun! I hadn't seen it before, and it was a hoot. I'd love to saddle up on a horse and go hunting for runaway submissive prey, hahahaha.
I still have this nagging cold, that is the only thing that stinks about this week. |

At home after a long day in the pumpkin patch (not joking -- was at a harvest/pumpkin festival), watching the Caps. WOOOOOOOOOO! I figure next weekend I am going to two Halloween/fetish parties, so this weekend I need to be a little relaxed and quiet at home.

Ugh....the World Series. Baseball is so -- very long and uninteresting. But hey, how about the Caps? 5-0 start to the season, wooooo! Of course, there will probably be heartbreak further in the season, but for now, I am happy. |

Quick update: the Bucs won and are at the top of their division, my slave's brand is healing quickly and looks great, the weather is beautiful and my allergies have calmed down, I have something big coming up Friday and I'm trying not to get nervous about it. All in all, it's a very good week to be me. |

This is going to be a very good weekend, because my slave is coming home from work travel! The weather is gorgeous and I plan on having a lot of fun and relaxing with my sub. I may watch some football ("may" - hah, yeah, I'm going to watch!) and I'm looking forward to the return of The Walking Dead on Sunday nights. Other than that, I'm taking some time to myself to relax and recharge my energy. Oh -- I did get a Bon4 last weekend for my slave, but I haven't really had enough opportunity to play with it other than an initial fitting. Still, I know I like the flexible silicone better than the hard plastic of the CB series devices (I've previously used a Curve and a CB3000 on other subs). I should work for Consumer Reports, hah. |

This weekend I am going to a casual dinner party (potluck) and then a day hike. The weather is gorgeous, but I am feeling very lazy. I've spent most of today reading about Mount Everest expeditions while lazing about, wrapped in a blanket. I guess I'm an armchair explorer that way. |

Had a really big and satisfying week -- had my slave branded with my initials. We were in the woods with our branding expert, who also performed a simple but meaningful ritual and ceremony, and it was just wonderful. Branding truly lasts forever (it's a scar so it doesn't go away), but I have my forever slave, so it was the perfect thing to do. |

Wouldn't you know it, the weekend where I have the most fun plans in store is the weekend where we're about to get socked with a hurricane. I hope the power stays on at least, otherwise the slave and I will be out in the front yard grilling all the food in the fridge and trying to eat it before it spoils. Based on the storms from last summer and the snow storms from this past winter, I am getting way too experienced in this! I now only buy perishable stuff in tiny sizes, because after replacing mayonnaise five times in four months, I'm a little less trusting of our local power company's storm performance. Now I'm off to paint my toenails ice blue to go with my metallic ice blue latex dress for this weekend. Hope I get to actually wear it! (No way if the a/c is out. Not gonna happen.) |

Recently back from a short trip to the beach, so now I am focusing on catching up on work as well as seeing friends and getting out to enjoy myself. I am looking forward to some new parties and some new fetish events that are happening in the area. And I am really looking forward to cooler weather so I can break out my latex! |

I'm really excited about this weekend as I have a play party to attend and I may go tubing with friends as well. If I can manage to do some grilling, it will be a trifecta of wonderful summer stuff. The only downside is trying to find fetish wear that doesn't kill me in 100 degree weather. |

Long story short: Lots of change happening in my life. I had to release the sissy maid (it was sad but it was time), was laid off of my job (not fun, but the job was a major source of unhappiness anyway), so now I am looking at a somewhat unknown future but also many possibilities for better things. I am have my amazing slave, and I am still the luckiest girl in the universe - no one can take that away from me except myself. At some point in the future I may look for another play partner, but it will probably be a female submissive; let's face it, sissies are high maintenance. For the time being I am turning several pages in a new chapter for me. |

I am taking some steps back from CM as recently my experience here is making me feel more jaded and pessimistic, which I don't need added to my life. If something or someone isn't making me happy, then shame on me for continuing the same old patterns and wondering why things aren't different. I'll check email here now and again and if I've chatted with you before you know how to reach me, but I think that any person I'll actually date will come from an in-person meet at a local munch or party. Tonight is a quiet night watching the Redskins/Jets game and relaxing with a glass of wine. This weekend I plan to go to Columbia Heights day and then maybe H Street - I am deliberately spending time on the Green and Yellow lines in downtown DC so that I can avoid and ignore the teabaggers coming to town. They absolutely have the right to gather, protest, whatever....and I absolutely have the right to roll my eyes and avoid them!

I used to post things like "spelling and grammar count" (because in my mind they are important), but if I did that now I think I'd never get another email. Maybe it's because people are posting through their phones, but I also notice a lot of usage problems: discreet vs. discrete, accept vs. except, you're vs. your, lose vs. loose, etc. This is why I never do "strict schoolteacher" scenes....it's a losing battle!

There's music - right now I'm listening to a lot of Janelle Monae and Gorillaz, and I'm looking forward to seeing both of them in concert in the next month or so. There's reading - I'm rereading "Manhunt", which is a great account of the search for John Wilkes Booth after Lincoln's assassination. There's artwork - I'm going to the Chuck Close exhibit at the Corcoran this week; it's supposed to be really great. So I'm busy beyond the bdsm scene and watching football and hockey, although I love those too.

Tonight I am a grateful woman -- when I got home from work, my power was back on at my apartment! Two weeks ago the big thunderstorms knocked my electricity out for four days, so today was not terrible in comparison. Still, I am very ready for the horrible weather of this year to be over -- record snows, record heat, record rain: enough with the records already.

While I was on vacation I overcame a major "hard limit" of mine: I went to a baseball game! Yankees vs. Red Sox at Stadium, and surprisingly I had a good time (although no way am I paying $9 for a freaking Coors Light or Budweiser.) It was definitely a beautiful stadium; I was impressed.

A heartbreaking finish, but I really enjoyed watching the US in the World Cup yesterday with friends. Friends are in town this week so I'm having a lot of fun visiting with them - went to trivia night at a local bar and came in second place (after being in last place most of the evening), going to lunch and possibly a museum, and just catching up in general. If only I didn't have to work this week, I'd have even more fun.

My job didn't kill me (and my project was actually quite successful), so all is good with the world. I am spending the day relaxing and trying to make my little corner of the world orderly after so much work. I'm thinking of going rafting or tubing next weekend - summer is here, and I love it.

Went out to dinner tonight with friends and I got stuck at the restaurant because of driving rain and hail. At least the power stayed on and there was plenty of beer and good company. I'm usually pretty positive and upbeat here in my profile and journal, but tonight I hit a personal low. I was supposed to meet someone for coffee tonight...and he stood me up. He had my phone number and email, but only chose to email me over an hour after we were supposed to meet. Needless to say this is no way to treat a Domme (and you can be sure I will let my fellow Dommes know who this person is), but really this is no way to treat anyone. I dislike vanilla dating but I think that internet dating makes people a lot more calloused in how they treat others. It makes me a lot less likely to agree to meet anyone, unfortunately.

No Metro, so another day at home. I did some shoveling yesterday, and today I plan to get outside and walk around to see my neighborhood. And I'm a Bucs fan. But honestly, that was just too awful to watch.

The bad news is my flight home for today was canceled. Today was beautiful outside, so I went for a long walk to enjoy some sunshine. I also ran a bunch of errands and went to get my hair done (wasn't entirely happy with what I had done last week so I went back.) Didn't do much Christmas shopping, but I saw some nice things to consider. It's been a very quiet and relaxing weekend - the quiet is a rarity for me, but I'm enjoying it.

Things that make me smirk, part two: people who try to provoke a negative response from me by sending insults or challenges. First, I don't reward negative behavior, ever. Secondly - I used to work in customer service as well as in government, so there is very little that hasn't been said (both good and bad) to my face. I'm home and relaxing (and trying to get organized and clean up after all this travel.) I'm a little bummed in that I have had some elbow pain recently, so I haven't been able to break in my new singletail or play with it very much. I'm sure some of you are waiting to see what I have to say about this weekend's debacle of a game....but you know what? I didn't think that Josh Johnson was too bad at all, and I was glad to see him have such a promising start in the first half of the game. And honestly - the Bucs would have won if their kicker hadn't failed so badly (and he was released this week.) So congratulations, Skins nation: you beat the worst team in the league. Barely. And we are showing some signs of growth and improvement. Just sayin'.

Watched football yesterday with my sissy maid. She's a Giants fan & I'm a Bucs fan, but I knew that yesterday's game would be disastrous for the Bucs so I didn't take it out on her, ha. I also wasn't shocked by the Redskin loss to the Lions - they looked like zombies until the last three minutes of the game. Actually, as long as Snyder owns the team I couldn't care less whether they win or lose. He is a terrible team owner and doesn't deserve the fan base his team has. When I read the article about the Skins suing fans who couldn't make their season ticket contracts due to the economic downturn, I lost what little love I have for the team. If only Leonsis could buy them and rebuild the Skins - he truly seems to listen to and appreciate the fans. Rant over! And next Sunday...um, may the least worst team win? Ha!

I did enjoy the Giants/Redskins game, however -- after reading the Post's article on the Redskins suing season ticket holders who are hurting due to the economic downturn, I am not a fan anymore. Honestly, between Snyder suing grandma, Michael Vicks in Philly, and the possibility of a strike in the future, I'm glad that hockey will be starting soon! It's been a long time, but I finally have something to write about football. I have never been a fan of the Philadelphia Eagles (although I like McNabb) but now -- all I can say is wow, a new low for the world of football. I will not watch games with the Eagles, period. And I know that Tony Dungy is speaking out on Michael Vick's behalf, but I'm just not as forgiving a person as he is. I don't think someone who tortured animals should be able to come back to a high paying career and the public spotlight. Shame on Philadelphia and shame on the Eagles. Okay, wow did we get a lot of snow last night! I picked a bad night to not have the maid stay over....looks like I am shoveling my walkway myself! It's very pretty though; I love it as long as the power stays on and the heat. I do have to go to work though, which is a real shame. On a quasi-kink note, I've been watching a lot of sport cracking videos online and now I want to learn some whip cracking tricks for outside of the play space. It was killing me to see people dragging their bullwhips on the ground, though - I'm used to signal whips (much smaller), and not having the whip scrape the floor, let alone the dirt. I figure it can't help but improve my throws, as well as my aim, which is a good thing.

I've received a few emails asking me about my Super Bowl pick for this year. Honestly, I may watch the Puppy Bowl more than the game, as my heart is not in it this go around. On one hand, I'd like to see the Cards win as they are the long shot. On the other hand, if the Steelers win, a good friend of mine will make some bucks on a bet she made while in Vegas. So....go puppies! (And I definitely will watch the kitten halftime show over Springsteen, as I just got to see The Boss two Sundays ago at the inauguration - he was great, but kittens are much more cute.)

Wow, it is really icy out here today. I am going to work from home today -- much more civilized to do some writing by my fireplace vs. my office. I don't think I wrote anything about this weekend's TNG party, but it was wonderful. I played with emily (a medical scene and a wax scene) as well as spanking a very cute slave girl I know. The party was packed but there was still room to play or chat. It looks like I have party plans for the next couple of weekends straight - leading right up to Dark Odyssey's Winter Fire event. Unbelievable. In one day I manage to lose one earring and one of my damn yak traks that I use to keep from slipping on ice and snow. I was sick of the earrings (white gold but they were old and beat up), but I need the damn yak traks tomorrow, it's icy here! Ah well. Things come and go in your life, and when they go you have to replace them and this is the only thing that will save the economy, I guess.

I am just home from the inauguration parade. I had a great day, but I am really exhausted -- I don't know how people are going to the various inaugural balls tonight. I work in downtown DC, fairly near the White House, and things are really gearing up for the inauguration next week. Streets are being blocked off, police cars are on the side streets, and parade bleachers are set up. Tourists are already showing up downtown, and every umbrella cart now has Obama souvenirs to hawk as well. It's kind of a pain in the butt right now, but come this weekend I'll be out there having fun just like the tourists. (One of the advantages of living near DC -- four day weekend next week!)

Today is the worst day ever. My espresso/cappuccino machine broke! After four years of daily service, the steam wand snapped off - poof! It is a Saeco stainless steel pump driven machine, so I'll have to send it out for repair. I'm practically comatose without my daily cortado and cappuccino. Why is everything that I own breaking? Today I am being a lazy girl and just relaxing around the house. It's wonderful -- I'm building a fire in the fireplace and if I really get ambitious I'm going to give myself a pedicure. I had a lot of fun on New Year's Eve, and I got to play with a toy I've wanted to experiment with for a while -- stun guns! I tortured a friend with them for a while and enjoyed it; they are definitely next on my "to buy" list. My maid also took good care of me (no, she wasn't the stun gun victim) and we had lots of cuddle time on New Year's Day. I hope everyone is off to a good start for the year and that we all have a happy 2009.

I'm so glad I get to see the Bucs play before I fly off again today. I know it's a small view of the world, but to me "football" is the NFL, not soccer, not Aussie football. So - go Bucs, go Colts...and I'm going to have to cheer for the Redskins today, although that's probably a lost cause against the Giants (the Giants are the sissy's fave team, and I do normally like them.) Rest in Peace # 21 Sean Taylor -- it is hard to believe it has been a year that he has been gone already; I hope the Skins win for his family. I'm watching "Frontline" and they are showing a documentary about Lee Atwater, and it is tough for me to watch, honestly. I loathed that man when he was alive and found it highly fitting that he died of brain cancer as he had so much poison and bile in his mind. However, he was a personality and he liked pro wrestling and was a musician. Still, I hope with Rove gone and a new administration coming that the days of Atwater tactics are over. For now. Sorry I haven't been updating much, but I have been very busy with work and friends. It's all good stuff, but it is keeping me on the go all the time. I'm working on my Halloween costume this weekend, and then next weekend helping a good friend construct a haunted house -- I love Halloween; it brings out the kid in me. Speaking of Halloween, I will be at BR's big event, but only on the Sunday and only to go shopping in the vending area. I went to the most wonderful party last night: the men served the women a four course dinner, and then we hit the host's elaborate dungeon to play. I got to put the maid in a vacuum bed, which was a ton of fun and something she had been dying to try. I also gave a flogging workshop to a friend. This weekend's weather is miserable, but I'm still having a good time. I went with friends to see "Burn After Reading" last night and I really loved it. I think it is more humorous if you live in the DC area, and so the audience I saw it with was laughing a lot. I also got a call from an old college friend -- he was the person who gave me the nickname that became my scene name. It was amazing hearing from him and catching up. Today will be spent with football (of course) and a couple of beers or cappuccinos. I have travel this week and then a fetish party next weekend, so being low key on a rainy day is not a bad thing at all.

So football this weekend was good overall, although I'm worried about the Buc's injuries, and the first half of the Redskin's game was ugly. I did get one amazing bargain today (a Catherine Coatney skirt in tulle -$30 marked down from $100!), but then I got a braided flogger by Montague (a little pricey, but hard to find these days) and a set of padded suspension cuffs (considering the quality, these were a bargain.) I didn't break my budget, but then again I set my budget for this event pretty high, hahaha. Now I just need to get to sleep and then think of a situation where I can use all my new goodies at once.

Arrrgh, I missed MNF tonight (last night - whatever.) I think I'm still scarred from watching the Colts/Bears game on Sunday. What the hell happened to the Colts? That was an embarrassing and depressing game - seriously, I kept switching the channel to a disturbing documentary on pageant moms, and I couldn't decide which one I hated more. Couldn't find the Bucs game on local tv (still looking for a local bar that hosts Bucs fans), but it seems like that is just as well since they lost to the Saints. Not a good start to my favorite season.

Went to a lovely play party this weekend at a friend's place, and then a really nice brunch with friends today. I don't know how it is possible for a person to become exhausted from brunch, but somehow I have managed to do so. One of the other highlights of the weekend was seeing a friend's impressive latex and toy collection -- I just wish the weather would turn a bit cooler so that I can enjoy playing with latex more.

I'm going camping this weekend. Normally this would be a fun trip, but now the weather reports are calling for 85% chance of thundershowers every single day of the trip, so I am probably going to get soaked. "Okay, so why the radical switch of profiles in less than seven days?" you may be thinking (or you may be wondering when I'm going to start posting about football again.) Well, it goes like this: I met someone from here and liked him a lot. He seemed too good to be true: handsome, submissive, polite, funny - okay with the maid, okay with me being bi, etc. etc. And after thinking "wow, I really like this person and he could fit into my life" I found out he is moving away from the area for a while, and I was pretty bummed. At first I thought "fuck it, I'll start dating again" but the truth is I don't want to go out with anyone else, although the mail I got was both flattering (and a bit overwhelming.) I like him, he's not going away quite yet (and he's not going forever), and I may be foolish but I want to see where this goes with him. Besides, I have emily with me so it's not like I'll die of loneliness, hahahaha. And if it doesn't work, then I will dust myself off and try again, or go get 1,000 cats and a comfy sweater. So yeah -- I'm back to friends only again. And now -- Monday Night Football! I kind of hate the Seahawks because 1.) they knocked out the 'Skins last year, 2.) Seattle's sense of superiority about coffee and hipster culture, when really they just need more sunlight and less patchouli and hemp. Do these make sense? No, but very little about my interest in football makes sense, so there.

I got my hair cut and colored yesterday and so I'm having the mother of all good hair days. As nice as my old profile pic was/is, it is alsmost two years old so I thought I would go with something recent, and more blonde (and old, ha.) Watched a bit of the Redskins game last night, then went to a friend's birthday party. Nothing too exciting, but it was good to hang out with friends. It was funny in that is was an "evil twin" party, so I went without wearing fetish wear and looking very plain. It was hard, and I didn't enjoy it, but it was funny. Today is work junk and then getting ready for the work week.

So tonight, there's an impromptu slumber party at my place. My friend's grandmother died, and she had to fly out to the west coast to deal with the funeral arrangements and see family, and her husband is flying out sick early tomorrow from Dulles, and my place is the closest to the airport. So my place is the crash pad for the night (I'm sleeping on the couch - ugh, but I insist on being a good hostess), but I'll get up early to make cappuccino and toast to wish him well on his flight, and we've had a fun evening talking and having cocktails. So what is the point of this post? I guess it would be that even in the dark, sad hours of your life there are people to help you along the way and prop your sad tired ass up. I know that T and M did that for me last year when I lost both of my parents, and I am very grateful to return the favor in my small way. Remember, it's August, so my thoughts aren't very deep this month. Be good to your friends, the end.

Haven't written a non-vanilla post in a while, have I? I'll just say that I bought a new latex top the other day, and it is the sexiest thing ever (and surprisingly, it's comfortable!) It's been a while since I bought any new latex, but this one was calling out to me. It's black and it zips down the front so I can make it either a high neck and very form fitting or a plunge neckline with a pointed collar. Very cute with my black latex hobble skirt. And best of all - it makes me look like I have bigger boobs, hah!

Had a great day out on the water today, tubing with friends. Only problem is I forgot to put sunscreen on my knees, so now I have sunburned kneecaps, hahahaha. It's pretty silly looking. Anyway, it was a really beautiful day out, and perfect weather for having fun in the water. I'm going to pass out now as I've got to rest up for a big cookout tomorrow -- and I've got to put some aloe on my knees!

I've had a lovely weekend but I wish it was a three-day one. I am incredibly tired (and the heat isn't helping.) All right people -- this is a great weekend to be in the DC area, funwise. There is the Crafty Bastards sale in Silver Spring on Saturday, there's the Smithsonian Folklife Festival on the Mall, and there's a ton of great shows and plays in the area. If you're not having fun this weekend, its your own damn fault. As for me, I'm going to be chilling with the maid and a cocktail (one of my summer faves: chilled limoncello with some soda and fresh mint.) I'm going to the Nats game tonight, but I'll make no predictions as the Nats are truly terrible right now. At least the food will be good!

I have to say, I have gotten some great advice on the sofa table dilemma, but so far the response of the week was "it's your decision, but, i would highly recommend a board certified surgeon to shorten your legs." Today is not the easiest day for me, because it is my first Father's Day without my dad. I'm also watching the "Meet the Press" tribute to Tim Russert (I can't imagine this year's election without him -- and the only reason for eating at Guapo's is now gone.) But I will call my brother today and tell him what a great job he has done as a dad, so that's something to keep me happy. Yesterday morning I was at the Metro early (ugh), and I saw a father and his son headed to the Nats game. They were wearing Mets jerseys, and they were carrying their lunches packed in plastic bags, and they looked so happy just chatting about baseball. I also saw an older gentleman in a summer suit and tie, carrying a lunch, an umbrella, and his Nats hat. I can't describe why, but it made me very happy to watch them on their way to the ballpark. I just wish I liked baseball more so I could experience a moment like that, but every time I go to the park, the game is abysmal and I want to poke my eyes out with a stick from boredom. In short: is it football season yet?

Some time ago I had as part of my profile that I was looking for the "beautiful and the useful." As I have largely found the beautiful for my life, some useful things would still be, well, useful. I'm starting back at the gym, so a personal trainer or someone with that background would be very helpful, as would a handyman to do some small repairs around my apartment. I do believe that the two most abused words on this website are "true" and "real." Unless a person is pretending to a woman when they are a man (or visa versa), what on earth does anyone mean by describing themself as "true"? And as for "real" - are people here not taking up space and matter? Again, I'm sure there are some people pretending to be more experienced or thinner or wealthier of more fabulous than they actually are. But real? For me, there isn't "real" or "true", there are people who interest and/or attract me, or they don't. Doesn't mean they don't exist though, or that what they seek isn't valid. Really. Truly!

Wrapping up a quiet but good weekend -- some quality time with the maid, some time outdoors in the amazing weather, and some chill time at home. There's two great parties going on tonight, but I'm staying at home relaxing and watching movies (Slap Shot, in honor of the Caps win tonight.) I'm going to be traveling for the next couple of weeks for work, so I need a night to get my house in order and pack. Not my most exciting Saturday night, but it's still good.

I'm not a masochist, but I am going to do something pretty foolhardy this weekend: go try to see the cherry blossoms at the Tidal Basin! Anyone from this area knows that the peak weekend is also peak tourist season, and it gets pretty crowded and crazy out there. But I love the cherry blossoms, so I will fight the crowds and try not to snap at tourists when they stand on the left on the Metro escalators (grrrrrr!)

It's official -- I will be teaching another class for Black Rose in early June. The subject will be objectification, so if there are any questions or ideas you have about the subject, email them to me so I can include that information in my class. Still packing for this weekend. You'd think I was going to Mars or something, vs. just downtown. But still -- rope, floggers, singletails, paddles, restraints, heels, boots, and a few outfits. It adds up, and I need a steamer trunk for all this stuff! And the maid just got a new latex uniform, so I've got good help all weekend.

So I went to bed early, now I'm up at 5 am and can't sleep. Sometimes I am not a smart woman! I went to my first hockey game last night (with the maid), and it was surprisingly a lot of fun! It's definitely better than watching baseball (zzzzzzz.) I wish there had been more fighting, but the guys skating into each other was pretty fun to watch. Hot men fighting - can't go wrong there! (Except maybe the ones missing teeth....)

Do you know why you should be jealous of me? Because I went to see the Pogues in concert last night, that's why! They were fantastic, and I only got stomped on a wee bit on the dance floor, as well as mildly sprinkled with all the beer being thrown. It was a classy event, and I loved every minute of it.

This weekend is all about Spring Cleaning, both for my apartment and for me! Pedicure, manicure, facial, eyebrow shaping...I am one high maintenence woman. As for the apartment, I am switching out the curtains, cleaning and organizing. The sun is out and its beautiful, but it's still chilly enough to have a fire in the fireplace. Best of both worlds!

Tonight's class was very interesting, and had a packed house. Good job all around, I say. Went to 201 Lounge afterwards to hang with friends, so that was fun. Oh! I also was asked to present *again* for Black Rose, so that is a plus! Looks like the class will be on objectification and will take place sometime in May. I'll post more info as it becomes available.

Had a great weekend -- went to see a gallery exhibit I had been dying to see, went to a super fun play party, and had a movie night and lots of play with the maid. And I don't want to jinx it, but I am so happy that spring is almost here -- I really love the sun being brighter and hearing the birds. Once I see my favorite flower blooming (daffodils) I'm going to fill my apartment with them.

I'm back from the big city, which was wonderful except for the fact that I threw my back out - oy! If you are a Jasper Johns fan, the new show at the Met is pretty good. I also had to visit the Egyptian wing, because their collection is just so extensive and I love it. Oh! There's also the Damian Hirst shark on display too! So....formaldehyde sharks, Old Kingdom treasures, and Jasper Johns. That's my weekend report. Thanks to everyone who wished me a Happy Valentine's Day, I did have a lovely one. My sissy maid actually made me a homemade batch of my favorite candy (chocolate covered cherries), and bought me a really good Cabernet. Talk about luxury! Have I mentioned that I am a lucky girl lately?

Oh jeez -- another Valentine's Day. I truly hope you are not all buying overpriced old dead roses and junk like that for your loved ones. Overpriced roses suck! Me, it's dinner at home and a candy binge with the maid, then I'm heading up to New York for a weekend of shopping and museum hopping. This week is a sad one for me (I lost my mom a year ago), so going to see the Jasper Johns exhibit and having some cocktails in the city will help improve things somewhat. I've had robots and dogs on the mind recently. There is a local exhibit of robots on display that I'm going to see either tonight or tomorrow, and some of them are so damn cute! I swear if I had a spare $14,000 lying around I would buy a Mitsubishi Wakamaru, because they break my heart they are so adorable. I'd have to get it reprogrammed to speak English, but oh well what's another thousand or two? Maybe I'd learn Japanese to save money. As for dogs, it's Westminster Kennel Club time, and although I'm disappointed that a bull terrier didn't win Best of Group in the terrier division this year, the white mini bull that one Best of Breed was pretty frickin' adorable. I would love to get a mini bull for agility training. Let others dream of a house filled with dungeons and slaves, I want a robot and a bullie! lol

I have had a lovely weekend, with a lot of fun and excitement with emily. Only one down thing - I've somehow ganked my heel/foot, which has now made my leg and my back hurt. I'm home and I'm cranking the heat, as I have been freezing all day. I had a good time last night, although honestly I went short on the impact scene I was doing (didn't want to hog the equipment), and I was kind of hoping to beat one or two more fellas while there. Another day, another day. I think this weekend will end with me taking a hot bath and then curling up with a good book. I do have to finish getting rid of my #$%& dead Christmas tree, however! I've been so focused on football recently, I haven't written about any other fun activities. I had a fun New Year's, where I got to do some impact play with a female friend, and show off the maid on her leash. I had on one of my tightlacer corsets for NYE, and got a lot of compliments on that. It was a last-minute pick, but pretty (I need to reorganize my fetish wear, as right now I don't even know half of what I own.) This weekend I'm planning some rope work and maybe playing with my stockade a bit. I don't want you all to think that I'm all football, all the time!

Wow, the Fiesta Bowl was a real rout, huh? I remember when USF beat WV early in the season, but that was a million years ago, it seems. I don't care that much about college football, but it's fun to watch the bowl games. On a lark, I decided to price tickets to see the Bucs/Giants game - $550 per ticket! Looks like I will be watching that one from the comfort of my couch Saturday.

Saw "Atonement" last night. It was beautiful, but terribly sad. Don't see it if you are at all blue, because it is a heartbreaker. Speaking of heartbreakers, I am not even discussing the Giants/Pats game. Not. Even. Discussing. It. All of my energy today is focused on the Redskins winning over the Cowboys, so that one of my three favorite teams (Bucs-Colts-Skins) can do something about the Patriots. Seriously, if they do win the Super Bowl, it's an asterisk win, stupid cheaters.

Today's big dilemma is what to wear for New Year's Eve. Latex looks hot, but I can move around more in pvc. But it's going to be cold, so maybe it's a good night for latex after all, right? Of course, I could always go with a corset -- I predict by the end of today I will have a million outfits scattered all over my apartment, and still be no closer to a decision.

Ugh - I have had this mild headache, but it's been going on all day and won't go away. Could be from not sleeping well, so I'm going to go remedy that right now! In other news, my apartment is a wreck from my maid being on holiday travel. Life is tough sometimes, but I muddle through. I definitely see a cleaning party in January, however.

Whew - I'm back home from New York, and relaxing and unpacking. I had a great trip: ate too much, drank too much, and had way too much fun. Surprisingly, I didn't do any fetish shopping, and stuck with museums and walking all over Central Park. It was a great time, and exactly what I needed. I hope that everyone has had a wonderful holiday, and that the New Year is a good one.

I did most of my holiday shopping today. Somehow online shopping just isn't as fun as shopping in person, but it was cold and I was not feeling up to the crowds today. All I have to do now is some stocking stuffer shopping and I'm done. Then it's up to NY to go buy goodies for myself!

Wow, I'm behind. Today is Christmas tree day, and I still haven't bought the damn tree! And for the record, getting a zipcar this weekend has been next to impossible - I got one, but not for the time I wanted and not in the location I wanted either. Oh well, that's what I get for waiting. Anyway, the ornaments and lights are out, I've got eggnog, bourbon and rum, and a bottle of prosecco. I will have a tree and have it decorated by the end of the day! I'll probably have most of my friends tipsy by the end of this process, but that's part of the fun too. (ETA: zipcar will be returned before the bubbly and eggnog are served, so no worries. Don't drink and drive, and stay in school!)

Today was the first snow of the year, and it was so beautiful. The weather isn't helping my laryngitis, but screw it - it's worth it. The maid fixed me dinner tonight, along with coffee and kahlua. Tomorrow night is Dark Odyssey's Happy Hour, Friday I go out to see some friends in Charm City, Saturday I buy a Christmas tree, and Sunday I decorate it (with the help of my boyfriend.) Life is good.

I didn't know it was possible to be so exhausted from shopping, but I am shot. Got some new stiletto sandals and some hogtie restraints, vet foam tape and a colorful chain flogger that I'll use for cbt. As much as I spent, however....emily spent more! Seriously, we must have been there for four or five hours. Next up, we met my boyfriend and all went to a fun play party together. Unbelievable. I have another cold! Seriously, I want new sinuses for Christmas, as I seem to catch a cold every time the weather changes (which recently has been every day or so.) Should I take vitamins or something? I wash my hands about a thousand times a day, I try to stay healthy - oh blah. It's very annoying. On the positive side, it gives me an excuse to eat lots of spicy foods, in order to cauterize my throat. Hotsauce is theraputic.

As usual, a busy weekend. I went to dinner Friday with my boyfriend, and then spent today shopping and hanging out with him, then going to an amazing potluck dinner where I ate waaaay too much (especially the homemade mac and cheese!) Tomorrow my submissive maid is coming over to do some cleaning and then play. Then it's work, work, work until Thanksgiving, then I head out to see family. Wow, I am 100 different kinds of beat up from the paintball game yesterday. It was tremendous fun, however. I just hope I can wear my heels on Tuesday for the class I am teaching, as both of my ankles and my legs took some major hits. Okay, I'm going to write this as nicely as possible. I like Collar Me - like the message boards, even occasionally stop by the chat rooms to say hi. Ultimately, I am hoping to find a submissive who meets my needs and interests (with me doing the same for them), but I also like chatting and socializing here. In the time that I have had this profile, I have had to turn down people for many reasons (different interests, not attractive to me, distance, age, etc.) I also simply get too much mail (from 10-20 new requests per day), and have met in person only about five people from this site. Guess what else? I have been turned down by submissives here too - and one of the ones who turned me down is now one of my closest friends and advisors. It's the nature of the beast, folks. I work hard to be polite and respectful about it, and I would hope for the same. So, if you decide to whine and moan in a public forum or at an event about "ohh, waah, she turned me down, blah blah blah" - I am going to ignore you, secure in the knowledge that I made the right choice in not giving you the time of day. Dignity and a backbone are very attractive features in a person, regardless of their orientation.

I've been a vegetarian since 1981, so needless to say, my stomach is pretty upset and I am not feeling so hot. Arrrgh, USF lost. Oh well, it's still a great season. Happy Hour was interesting last night, although I am sick to death of the lack of air conditioning, not to mention the fact that it's still 80 degrees at the end of October! If I wanted high temperatures and humidity at this time of year, I'd move back to Florida. This weekend should be busy -- paintball all day tomorrow, folllowed by cleaning and organizing my apartment. Sunday will be organizing clothes and doing fittings with the models for my class Tuesday. I really wish this was a three day weekend!

I hurt my back (stupid twist while moving my suitcase on the way to NY.) I want to stay home and watch the USF game, but I'm going to a BBQ and Wii party instead, then a movie night. My back is making me cranky. It's hell being popular sometimes! What I could *really* use, and what would *really* be helpful to me is for someone to tell me what sports bars in DC and Bethesda regularly show Bucs games, because I want to enjoy the game tomorrow and see it on a big screen. Maybe Old Dominion near the Convention Center? It's either watch the game or go get my hair colored, and frankly I'd rather see the game.

Today (Monday) was a perfect day for slacking, except for the insane heat in the city. Ninety degrees in October is just stupid and crazy. Got Ms. J to her bus to head back to the city, grabbed some lunch, did some shopping, and then went home to collapse in a sweaty pile from the heat. A friend came over to drink wine and watch the premiere of "I Love New York 2", which was just as awful and wonderful as the first season. They showed a preview where one of the male contestants was being paddled, appeared to have on women's clothing, and was on a leash - now, *that* is quality television! Tuesday I spend time with the boyfriend, Wednesday morning I head to NY for PJ Harvey. It's already a good week, and it's going to get better.

I just watched the USF/WV game with some friends, and all I can say is -- am I living in Bizarro World? My alma mater didn't even have a football team when I went there, and now not only are they good, but they beat the #5 team? Meanwhile, teams like Michigan and Notre Dame are terrible? Color me surprised! I'm exhausted from a long day, so I'm going to bed. Maybe when I wake up I'll be back in the regular world.

Went to BR's happy hour tonight and had a good time (despite the heat.) And now I'm up at an ungodly hour, so I'm writing for work and looking at Bucs merchandise for women on their website - the pink Bucs socks are so cute. I seriously want to fly home for a game this year, since they aren't playing the Skins in DC. Maybe the 11/25 Skins game in Tampa? I'll get back to writing about all things Dominant in my life, but dammit I want to go to a Bucs game! (ETA: I felt so bad for the Saints during the MNF game against the Titans. That fourth quarter was hard to watch.)

A point of clarification: I was watching the Ravens on Sunday because that was the game showing here, but I am actually a longtime Bucs fan. I go back to the John McKay 0-26 years; back when being a Bucs fan was just about the most humiliating thing you could be on the face of this earth. One Superbowl title notwithstanding (and I still think that was an anamoly, or at least 90% owed to Dungy vs. Chucky), the Bucs are usually pretty awful, and rarely fail to disappoint. I'm pretty zen about football anyway - if the game stinks, you can always drink beer and enjoy the sunshine (or take a nap if you're watching at home.)

I am the epitome of excitement -- went to the party last night, drank a lot of Diet Sprite (no alcohol/no caffeine), loaded up on Nyquil and went to bed! I could hear whipping and slapping and spanking all around me, but sleep was what I was craving. My wonderful partner did take good care of me and made sure no one interrupted my sleep. Anyway, I still had a good (if muted) time, and was glad to see my friends before they left town.

Another Sunday, another weekend where I've screwed up my sleep pattern. Ugh. It used to be so easy to go to sleep or stay up all night if I wanted to. Now, I struggle to stay awake when I need to, and wake up in the middle of the night for no reason at all. Guess I'll sleep at my work tomorrow, ha!

Now, here's an interesting thing. I got a lot of email yesterday, and one email was from someone who said they had been a l/t slave, r/t, etc. etc. I was chatting with someone else, so I wrote back and asked a few quick questions, and asked that they write in first person, not third (I dislike the "this slave" and "this sub" stuff -- I'm not Gorean, I'm not Anne Rice.) So, the person sends me this long email back (and two long instant messages) that they were lying about everything they told me, this was a made-up character for their amusement, they just did it for fun, etc. etc. Thing is, you could tell by the email that this was a total cut-and-paste job that they had used many times! (He apologized for "leading me on", when he had only emailed me once.) So...this is this person's hobby? Making up a fake submissive character and then confessing to being vanilla? Um...okay! Maybe he does something really creative, like doing a memory scrapbook of his wank material, with little stickers and pressed flowers. (My hobbies are hiking, attending cultural events, reading and cooking, for the record.)

I am so glad to be home (this is the understatement of the year.) I worked my butt off, but found some unexpected treasures while clearing out my parents' house. Going out of town for the weekend - we have a buyer for Mom and Dad's house, so we've got to go get the things that we want before the deal closes. Also, have to go to the funeral home to pick up Dad's ashes and scatter them on the mountain. So that's my Labor Day weekend -- cleaning and saying goodbye to the mountains, and to Dad. The weather is beautiful today, and I'm in the mood to mow the lawn. I've got a six pack of Sam Adams, and a dream -- cover of House & Garden, here I come! Hahahaha. Anyway, at times I do find a meditative quality to doing mindless work, and you can't get more mindless than mowing. I've got another scene party to hit tonight, so I'll try not to wear myself out with the yard work. It's all about balance. I saw a deer on my morning walk, and it was the prettiest thing I've seen in some time. There is beauty in front of you right at this moment, if your eyes are open.

I had a wonderful time last night -- don't know how I did this though, but I hurt my ankle (think I accidentally kicked some equipment) and bruised my legs up pretty thoroughly. If I didn't know any better, I'd swear that someone beat me last night, and not the other way around!

I need to buy groceries and run errands today, but I think I'm going to get a pedicure instead, because chores will always be there for me, but my feet may fall off if I don't show them some care this week (too much hiking, not enough pampering.) This is not posted to start a flurry of "omg I'll pamper your feet" emails, but to demonstrate my strange thought process. There's a big party coming up this weekend, and I'm already behind on prepping. Don't know if I'll play or not (I'm still very blue, so I don't know if I'll feel up to it), but I have to look amazing regardless of what I do scenewise.

Okay, now I'm really back. Took a few days to be by myself, and then my wireless connection crapped out, so I've been even more away than I anticipated. Thank you to all who sent condolence messages; I do appreciate them. I was lucky to be with my father before he died, and to spend one more day with him. Not everyone gets that. It still is turning out to be a very difficult year.

Just got home from hiking today. I was at Antietam, and it was really beautiful; a perfect day. Think the three battfield trails were around five or six miles total. I also picked up a book on the history of the battle, so I've got some reading tonight. I did hit some poison ivy w/my hand, so I'm spending the night with my book and some calamine lotion!

I am very, very, very, very, very, very tired. What I wouldn't give for a three day weekend right about now, or a spa day. Maybe some B-12 vitamins would help or something. Short of pouring coffee in my eyeballs, I simply have zero energy!

Today I am sipping champagne at home (I splurged, sue me) and trying to work up the energy to finish folding laundry and getting ready for the work week. Had coffee today with a friend; that was fun. I'm still in a sushi coma from last night -- Sushi Ko was wonnnnderful. Nevermind I eat vegetarian sushi - it was great. I wish I had some limoncello (my favorite summer drink), but I will pick some up tomorrow. I'm going to go read and chill in the backyard. The weather is gorgeous today. Damn, I wish I was tubing this weekend! But I've got fun plans tonight, and my sunburn from last week has just healed, so maybe it's for the best. But next weekend? Harper's Ferry here I come. In other news, even though it's hot outside, I'm dying to play with some wax. Go figure!

The only catastrophe last night was that I really should have gone home at 10 (vs. 11), and held off on the last round of cocktails. Oh, my head! But I am grateful for not having worse news today. Got some funny emails last night -- someone from Canada wrote me, and when I wrote back "sorry, you're a bit too far away", they responded that that was a lame excuse, and then wrote "blah blah blah" - I love it! I blocked him, but I laughed. Yes, I am sure I can travel between here and Canada three times a week to meet this wonderful, true submissive - and there is nothing like arguing with a person or namecalling to show your submissiveness. Okay, I've calmed down a bit from Sunday night. It would have been humorous to be able to hear the collective millions of Americans screaming at their televisions during the infamous "blackout" scene, wouldn't it? Intellectually I understand what Chase was trying to do, emotionally I still don't like it and I find it highly unsatisfying. Dammit, when the ancient Greeks invented drama, they set up some rules, and one of the rules is that you have a #$%& ending. Rules are rules, people - I'm not just talking "make things easy and entertaining for people watching television," I'm talking the basic rules of drama.

Tubing today was great, although my shoulders got a bit sunburned. Now I really want to go rafting or canoeing, as I haven't done that in years, and I miss it. The weather was perfect, and so was the water. Tonight I'm relaxing, reading, and trying not to think about tomorrow night's final episode of The Sopranos.

I don't feel well from the heat. I can't wait to go tubing this weekend. Going to more Shakespeare next week - fortunately this time in an air conditioned theater vs. outside. If I had a swimming pool I would just live in it right now. Ugh.

A pet peeve of mine: you write me, say you're interested, etc. I visit your profile, and there is not one thing about you! Not what you're looking for, not your interests, your hard limits - nada. I understand why people don't put up pictures, but how on earth is anyone supposed to be interested in you when you list nothing about yourself? I see that "..." when I click on a profile and I think "great, another friggin' enigma sub." Mystery is overrated sometimes, people - throw me a frigging bone here! Went to a local tng happy hour tonight to meet a friend. It was nice, and I got to catch up with a lot of people I haven't seen in some time. The weather was nice enough to sit outside, so overall it was a pleasant evening. Nothing too earth-shatteringly exciting, but what do you want for a Tuesday? Just watched the Sopranos -- I am going to be so upset when it ends next week! All these dead people. It can't be good, that's all I can say. Why Bobby, and not Janis? Why Sil and not Paulie? Ah well. After this it's back to "the Wire" for me, because Lord knows I love Baltimore. A rainy day, so I'm getting some work done. Saw "Knocked Up" last night; it was very funny. There's a good article in the Post today about Eastern Market and how their vendors are really hurting for business, so if you have nothing to do today, head down there and buy some produce or flowers or something. There's also a huge, huge article about feet in the Style section -- I *know* a lot of you will enjoy that article! Dammit, I need a pedicure.

Work then gym then out with friends. I didn't plan on tonight being so late, but late it was. Ah, well. I had someone tonight ask me an interesting question: why I was so guarded with potential relationships. It's something I think about quite a bit. I think having been burned once (and burned badly), I am guarded these days, because I value myself and I am not going to throw myself into anything without being sure that it is right for me. On the plus side, I do think it makes me somewhat more patient with others, in that I know that maybe they feel the same way too. It's not a bad thing to be guarded, sometimes.

Went to Shakespeare in the Park last night, and it was wonderful (although hot weather-wise.) If you have a chance to go see it, I reccommend it highly. Being that it's Thursday, I'm going to my usual place tonight -- and tonight is a blue moon, so who knows how silly I will get?

So, I changed my profile. I have been dating a couple of people on a regular basis, and I am going to interview a potential submissive, and so I am going to focus on that for the time being. I had a really good weekend. The weather was beautiful, and I got to be with a lot of friends. I also caught up with The Sopranos, which I love and can't wait to see how it finishes. I'm doing a lot of thinking these days about what I want, and part of that includes who I want. I need to do more thinking.

Watched one of my alltime favorite movies last night: "Being There" with Peter Sellers and Shirley Maclaine. If you haven't seen it, do rent it; it's simply wonderful. And I like hearing peoples' views on the scene at the lake (if you've seen the film, you know what I'm talking about.)

So who ended up catching the absolute last train last night? You know who! It was more from flirting and telling jokes than from drinking, but I am still feeling a bit sleep deprived. Tomorrow I'm having mint juleps with friends and watching the Derby, Sunday is a movie day. Not super exciting (practically vanilla!), but I need a quiet weekend after such a busy week. I do wish there were more play parties coming up, however. Patience is not my strong suit.

Last night was a girl's night here at Casa Mistressa. A friend came over and we did pedicures, waxed our eyebrows, and watched movies together. Unfortunately, I drank both red and white wine and I now have a killer headache! I'm just glad we did our brows before we were too tipsy. Oh, and the movie was "Capote", which is one of my favorites. One of my favorite writers as well, especially the short story "A Christmas Memory."

I may actually go to my usual spot late tomorrow night (after 10), depending on how late my work event runs. Of course, I will have my alpha male/major domo with me, so if you do something silly like fall at my feet, he will kick you out of my way so I can get to the bar. Do not get in the way of me getting a beverage! In other news, I went to a personal trainer for the first time today, and all I can say is OW. My legs are killing me! Great. I get a day off of work today, and it ends up being windy, rainy and cold out. I'm still going to bundle up to struggle to the gym and then mail off my taxes (yes, I waited until the last minute - family tradition.) It's still a day off, so it's still good.

Another busy weekend -- I'm doing the makeup for a friend's wedding party. I did professional makeup for years, so this will be fun. I'm also cleaning my place -- why am I doing this, when I could have so many people do it for me? Because I have to know you really well before you scrub my tub. I'm funny that way. Hell, most people I won't even let in my apartment!

My favorite flowers in the world are daffodils, and they are starting to pop up everywhere. It's a real struggle for me not to swipe them out of peoples' yards - so instead, I buy them from the homeless guys near the Metro, who probably steal them from your yards.
