About me: I'm a Dominant woman in the greater DC area. I have a male slave/partner/boyfriend. I'm here to stay in touch with friends or to give people information on the local scene.

I usually post about sports and other dumb stuff here. I write very little about my scene experience, so if you're looking for wank material, prepare to be disappointed. On the other hand, I'm told my posts are funny sometimes.

I don't know if I'm the happiest woman in the universe, but I'm definitely in the running for it.

I keep forgetting to update things here, sorry. I am teaching a workshop on objectification and humiliation next Tuesday (Valentine's Day) at Black Rose. Come on out and you might get some candy!

1/5/2012 7:18:04 AM

Hope that everyone is having a great 2012 so far! I am doing well and having lots of fun with my slave partner. I will be at Dark Odyssey Winter Fire in February, and I have big plans for an upcoming party for those interested in feminization - if you are in the DC/MD/VA area, I'll keep you posted!

12/7/2011 11:32:07 AM

Just popping in to post that I will be teaching a workshop on Humiliation and Objectification for Black Rose on Valentine's Day this year. This is lots of advance notice to get your asses to my classes and have some fun!

11/7/2011 4:51:55 PM

Rare is the day that I write anything about my private life, but last night the highlight of my weekend was tying up my slave and having him worship my feet for about an hour. Now, the reason I mention this is because football yesterday was so horrible, I don't even want to talk about it! Between the Bucs losing and Tebow not sucking (for once), I was not a happy camper!

11/2/2011 4:28:36 PM

Halloween was fun, as usual. I had two crazy costumes (Bill Gates and Marie Antoinette), two parties, got to play with my slave, and then enjoyed a big day of rest enjoying "The Walking Dead". I didn't watch football since the Bucs had a bye week, and I wanted more Halloween fun vs. football fun. Also, during my cold I watched a show called "Mantracker" -- it was fun! I hadn't seen it before, and it was a hoot. I'd love to saddle up on a horse and go hunting for runaway submissive prey, hahahaha.

I still have this nagging cold, that is the only thing that stinks about this week.

10/27/2011 7:14:34 AM

I have had a nagging, lingering cold for the last few days, so I'm a bit sluggish. Still, I'm looking forward to this weekend, as I love Halloween and there are always the best fetish parties this time of year. If I have to prop myself up on Nyquil, Dayquil, and zombie pills, I will do it!

10/22/2011 5:45:12 PM

At home after a long day in the pumpkin patch (not joking -- was at a harvest/pumpkin festival), watching the Caps. WOOOOOOOOOO! I figure next weekend I am going to two Halloween/fetish parties, so this weekend I need to be a little relaxed and quiet at home.

10/19/2011 5:07:51 PM

Ugh....the World Series. Baseball is so -- very long and uninteresting. But hey, how about the Caps? 5-0 start to the season, wooooo! Of course, there will probably be heartbreak further in the season, but for now, I am happy.

10/18/2011 7:01:39 AM

Quick update: the Bucs won and are at the top of their division, my slave's brand is healing quickly and looks great, the weather is beautiful and my allergies have calmed down, I have something big coming up Friday and I'm trying not to get nervous about it. All in all, it's a very good week to be me.

10/15/2011 9:43:51 AM

This is going to be a very good weekend, because my slave is coming home from work travel! The weather is gorgeous and I plan on having a lot of fun and relaxing with my sub. I may watch some football ("may" - hah, yeah, I'm going to watch!) and I'm looking forward to the return of The Walking Dead on Sunday nights. Other than that, I'm taking some time to myself to relax and recharge my energy. Oh -- I did get a Bon4 last weekend for my slave, but I haven't really had enough opportunity to play with it other than an initial fitting. Still, I know I like the flexible silicone better than the hard plastic of the CB series devices (I've previously used a Curve and a CB3000 on other subs). I should work for Consumer Reports, hah.

10/8/2011 11:57:47 AM

This weekend I am going to a casual dinner party (potluck) and then a day hike. The weather is gorgeous, but I am feeling very lazy. I've spent most of today reading about Mount Everest expeditions while lazing about, wrapped in a blanket. I guess I'm an armchair explorer that way.

9/30/2011 5:49:23 PM

Had a really big and satisfying week -- had my slave branded with my initials. We were in the woods with our branding expert, who also performed a simple but meaningful ritual and ceremony, and it was just wonderful. Branding truly lasts forever (it's a scar so it doesn't go away), but I have my forever slave, so it was the perfect thing to do.

9/17/2011 2:50:09 PM

I have a cold. Skipping a party tonight. That's how it goes, sometimes. Ugh.

9/14/2011 7:41:39 AM

You know you've had a good weekend when you are still recuperating from that weekend on a Wednesday! lol

9/11/2011 11:27:35 AM

So, I'm watching the Bucs/Lions game, and right now I kind of wish I wasn't! The score is a lot closer than the quality of play is. Hope things improve after halftime. I did decide to wear latex last night, and it was the right decision -- looked good, had a great time. Now I just have to teach the new slave how to clean my latex stuff, because it is a mess!

9/9/2011 8:00:38 PM

Going to a party tomorrow, and once again, the eternal question is: do I tough it out and wear latex or do I go with something more comfortable? I am going with an "Angry Headmistress" sort of look, but with the humidity I may resort to pvc or even (horrors!) a steampunk-themed cotton dress that I have. My hair is already going to try to go all crazy on me, and I don't find sweating like a maniac to be that sexy. Why do I like latex again? lol

9/8/2011 6:36:19 AM

More rain??*!? Please spare me! I will try to wade to Dark Odyssey's Happy Hour tonight, but I don't know if I will get swept away in the rain. It's a bit much!

9/3/2011 8:05:54 AM

My excitement for this weekend involves mowing the yard before more ##$% rain comes down - enough with the rain already! So much for tubing this weekend. Other than that, I'm pretty quiet today. It's a rarity.

8/26/2011 8:55:46 AM

Wouldn't you know it, the weekend where I have the most fun plans in store is the weekend where we're about to get socked with a hurricane. I hope the power stays on at least, otherwise the slave and I will be out in the front yard grilling all the food in the fridge and trying to eat it before it spoils. Based on the storms from last summer and the snow storms from this past winter, I am getting way too experienced in this! I now only buy perishable stuff in tiny sizes, because after replacing mayonnaise five times in four months, I'm a little less trusting of our local power company's storm performance. Now I'm off to paint my toenails ice blue to go with my metallic ice blue latex dress for this weekend. Hope I get to actually wear it! (No way if the a/c is out. Not gonna happen.)

8/18/2011 7:56:31 AM

I will be at Dark Odyssey's happy hour tonight, and I am planning to attend this weekend's Women Rule party, so it's going to be a busy weekend! My life, as always, is good. And speaking of good, I know it was a preseason game, but how much did I enjoy the Buc's beatdown of Kansas City last week? I have really missed football, and I loved that game!

8/15/2011 2:07:20 PM

Recently back from a short trip to the beach, so now I am focusing on catching up on work as well as seeing friends and getting out to enjoy myself. I am looking forward to some new parties and some new fetish events that are happening in the area. And I am really looking forward to cooler weather so I can break out my latex!

7/27/2011 2:30:46 PM

I'm really excited about this weekend as I have a play party to attend and I may go tubing with friends as well. If I can manage to do some grilling, it will be a trifecta of wonderful summer stuff. The only downside is trying to find fetish wear that doesn't kill me in 100 degree weather.

6/26/2011 1:59:34 PM

This is the toughest time of year: no football, no hockey, and only baseball (ugh) to watch. Fortunately, the weather is gorgeous, so I'm trying to spend more time outdoors vs. indoors being a couch potato.

6/19/2011 12:11:43 PM

Long story short: Lots of change happening in my life. I had to release the sissy maid (it was sad but it was time), was laid off of my job (not fun, but the job was a major source of unhappiness anyway), so now I am looking at a somewhat unknown future but also many possibilities for better things. I am have my amazing slave, and I am still the luckiest girl in the universe - no one can take that away from me except myself. At some point in the future I may look for another play partner, but it will probably be a female submissive; let's face it, sissies are high maintenance. For the time being I am turning several pages in a new chapter for me.

6/1/2011 1:31:53 AM

I'll admit it: I was really glad that the Bolts were knocked out of the Stanley Cup playoffs. Yes, I am a hater.

I'm having an up and down week, but I am off to see family (and introduce the new boyfriend to them), as well as maybe hitting the beach. As always, it's good to be me.

5/27/2011 5:23:10 PM

I am looking forward to this weekend and the big party hosted by British Lucky Paul. I will be there along w/my sissy girl and a host of friends. Can't wait!

5/1/2011 9:05:45 AM

Came home (finally!) to awful weather, but I'm going to relax with come coffee and some reading, and then watching the Caps game. It's good to be home!

4/26/2011 8:46:30 PM

Still working (and glad for that), still happy with my slave and sissy, and still excited for the Caps. Life is good!

3/9/2011 6:41:34 PM

Bunch of work stress crap going on, but other than that things are good.  I'm thinking of going to the LF&P this weekend, but with my budget concerns perhaps I'd better not tempt myself that way. Stupid economy.

2/26/2011 4:53:25 PM

I'm doing a lot (and I mean *a lot*) of travel for work in the next couple of months, so I'm not around much. The best way to reach me is via "that other social network site." Glad to be home, and I'm glad I missed that Caps/Rangers game because that just sounded wrong. Come on, guys!

2/18/2011 2:03:43 PM

Packing for Winter Fire -- I am running waaaaay behind! Thank goodness for caffeine is all I can say.

2/2/2011 8:13:59 PM

I'm not too excited about the Super Bowl (honestly, I'm more looking forward to the Puppy Bowl this year), but I'm cheering for the Packers as a default. But I'll be wearing my Bucco Bruce tshirt on Sunday, and dreaming of next season.

1/9/2011 12:20:54 PM

The Seahawks are still in the playoffs? Who in the what, now? Good thing I have wine and firewood for the weekend, because it is too cold to go outside, and I feel a major lazy/pampering type of evening in my future.

1/8/2011 2:07:30 PM

Hope that everyone is having a good 2011! Other than it being a very cold and windy day, I'm having a pleasant and peaceful weekend.

12/28/2010 4:28:40 PM

I hope that everyone had a good Christmas -- I had a wonderful vacation, and spent time with family and loved ones. The Bucs won on Sunday, I managed to dodge the storms traveling, and I got some fun presents. Working a bit this week, and then going to a NYE party with my slave and my sissy. Wishing everyone a great end to 2010 and a very Happy New Year.

12/20/2010 6:49:07 AM
Okay, pretty disappointed by the Bucs overtime loss to Detroit yesterday. Not a good sign, but hopefully we can finish the season on an up note. Travel today for vacation, so I'll be even more quiet than usual. Merry Christmas, everyone!

12/14/2010 9:16:36 PM
Man, that ending of the Bucs/Redskins game was both hilarious and awful to see. But my team won, so I'm going to put it in the "hilarious" category. Maybe next year, Redskins fans. In the meantime, can somebody please do something about the Caps? Stop this skid!

12/11/2010 8:04:40 AM
Okay folks -- Christmas, blah blah blah. Tomorrow (Sunday) is the most important day of my year. Bucs Redskins game, bitches! The last two weeks have been heartbreaking as a Bucs fan, but at least we are fighting and playing exciting ball. Can the Skins nation say that? I don't think so! At least Shanahan finally dumped Fat Albert - should have done it at the beginning of the season, but better late than never. LET'S GO BUCS!!!

12/5/2010 11:21:08 AM
Speaking of football -- man, this Redskins game is not going well at all, is it? Know that makes my sissy a happy girl, but my sympathies to all you Skins fans out there. I'm excited because it's throwback day for the Bucs -- break out your orange and red!

12/3/2010 6:36:44 PM
Changed my profile, due to good news. I found what I was looking for, so my search here is complete.  I'll still write about football and other dumb stuff from time to time (hey the Bucs are still having a winning season, so I've got to brag somewhere!) I'm in a really good place right now and with really good people -- and I am damned appreciative of that fact. I'm pretty lucky.

11/29/2010 4:58:21 AM

Yeah, yeah, the Bucs lost to the Ravens. I'm just glad they didn't totally crap their pants during the game -- it's so rare that I get to see them on television, and I keep my football expectations low. Still, it was a really good weekend.

11/25/2010 5:09:38 AM

I wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving -- I'm very excited about the four day holiday, and running out to get my Christmas Tree on Saturday. And I'm even more excited about having Thanksgiving dinner at a friend's today. She's a Southern cook, so I know this is going to involve about 3,000,000 calories and lots of pecan pie. Bring it on!

11/20/2010 6:16:58 AM

I've been really, really busy with work, as you can tell by my lack of journal entries. Going to a party tonight, other than that I'm relaxing and unpacking from my travel. It's good to be home!

10/29/2010 8:42:09 PM

I hope that everyone has a very happy Halloween weekend. I'll be at the Sanity rally tomorrow, then a big Halloween party. Sunday will be very low key, but I'm looking forward to seeing "The Living Dead" that night (I love zombie movies.) Have a good weekend!

10/17/2010 2:34:59 PM

Long story short: travel, head cold, football, tired.

10/10/2010 7:42:30 PM
What? The Bucs won today and the Saints lost? Perhaps there is hope for next week! (Just perhaps...) In other weekend excitement, went to brunch w/the sissy and got a pedicure today, and I am going to see one of my favorite bands in concert tomorrow. Perfect way to end a three day weekend.

10/8/2010 5:09:47 AM
Because I have no common sense, I'm thinking of going to the Bucs/Redskins game in December at FedEx Field. Wonder if I could find some old Bucco Bruce stuff, to make it funny at least?

10/3/2010 3:14:54 PM
Very busy weekend - went to Crafty Bastards craft show downtown, did a dinner and movie night w/the sissy, went shopping today for shoes (vanilla/boring ones) and now I'm relaxing and watching the Redskins vs. the Eagles. It's been a good weekend.

9/30/2010 4:08:50 AM
Despite the horrid weather, I am going to hit happy hour tonight. Don't know if I'll stay too long, though - need to catch up w/my sissy. This travel stuff is a bitch.

9/28/2010 4:49:12 AM
Think I have defeated jet lag, but not so sure on the allergy front.  And I think I brought the rainy northwest weather home with me, boooo.

9/26/2010 8:21:15 AM
Long travel day today - looking forward to getting home!

9/22/2010 2:39:16 AM
No DO HH for me this weekend either as I am traveling early the next morning. I'll get back to my usual fun self soon - work owns my butt right now, hah.

9/16/2010 4:54:32 AM
No DO Happy Hour this week for me, as everyone will be at camp (or packing for camp.) Hopefully there will be nice weather for this weekend.

9/13/2010 8:55:39 PM
Yes, for those of you wondering -- I'm loving football season, as I always do. All I need is the leaves changing and my fireplace and I will be the happiest woman in the world.

9/4/2010 1:49:22 PM
I am taking some steps back from CM as recently my experience here is making me feel more jaded and pessimistic, which I don't need added to my life. If something or someone isn't making me happy, then shame on me for continuing the same old patterns and wondering why things aren't different.  I'll check email here now and again and if I've chatted with you before you know how to reach me, but I think that any person I'll actually date will come from an in-person meet at a local munch or party. Cheers!

8/31/2010 12:45:11 AM
This week is a very involved one at work, so I won't be around much. In the meantime I've totally wrecked my sleep pattern, which is a bad habit of mine. I fell asleep at 8 tonight, and now it's almost 4 am. Not good!

8/27/2010 5:10:31 PM
Tonight is a quiet night watching the Redskins/Jets game and relaxing with a glass of wine. This weekend I plan to go to Columbia Heights day and then maybe H Street - I am deliberately spending time on the Green and Yellow lines in downtown DC so that I can avoid and ignore the teabaggers coming to town.  They absolutely have the right to gather, protest, whatever....and I absolutely have the right to roll my eyes and avoid them!

8/26/2010 5:22:04 AM
Tonight I'll be "oot and aboot" (as the Canadians say) . Happy Hour FTW!

8/25/2010 5:00:37 AM
I used to post things like "spelling and grammar count" (because in my mind they are important), but if I did that now I think I'd never get another email. Maybe it's because people are posting through their phones, but I also notice a lot of usage problems: discreet vs. discrete, accept vs. except, you're vs. your, lose vs. loose, etc. This is why I never do "strict schoolteacher"'s a losing battle!

8/24/2010 4:46:09 AM
Oh my gosh, a day where the weather is actually going to be 80 degrees or less? Nice!

8/22/2010 3:51:28 PM
I write a lot about sports (and with preseason starting, I'll probably write a lot more about them), but sports aren't the only interest in my life. There's music -  right now I'm listening to a lot of Janelle Monae and Gorillaz, and I'm looking forward to seeing both of them in concert in the next month or so.  There's reading -  I'm rereading "Manhunt", which is a great account of the search for John Wilkes Booth after Lincoln's assassination.  There's artwork - I'm going to the Chuck Close exhibit at the Corcoran this week; it's supposed to be really great.  So I'm busy beyond the bdsm scene and watching football and hockey, although I love those too.

8/22/2010 7:34:49 AM
Great -- Josh Freeman breaks his thumb yesterday during the preseason game against Kansas City. Sigh. I have a feeling it's going to be another long and painful year for the Bucs.

8/21/2010 8:37:36 AM
Tonight I'll be at a friend's party and then tomorrow I am relaxing with my sissy girl. I have a couple of tough weeks of work coming up, so after this weekend I am probably not going to be around much. In other news, I am really excited that it's time for football again, but I'm still searching for a DC pub that regularly shows Bucs games (a glutton for punishment, I know.)

8/19/2010 5:38:42 AM
I'm pretty tired from a long week at work, but I will be at DO's Happy Hour tonight along with my sissy. Hopefully there won't be the torrential rain and exploding manhole covers like last week!

8/15/2010 2:10:55 PM
I had a really nice weekend -- finally got to see my sissy girl, went to a fun party, and now I am relaxing tonight. I've been way too busy recently so having a bit of time to relax and be quiet is an amazing luxury, and a rainy day is the best time to have it.

8/12/2010 7:50:59 PM
Tonight I am a grateful woman -- when I got home from work, my power was back on at my apartment! Two weeks ago the big thunderstorms knocked my electricity out for four days, so today was not terrible in comparison. Still, I am very ready for the horrible weather of this year to be over -- record snows, record heat, record rain: enough with the records already.

8/10/2010 6:48:34 PM
While I was on vacation I overcame a major "hard limit" of mine:  I went to a baseball game! Yankees vs. Red Sox at Stadium, and surprisingly I had a good time (although no way am I paying $9 for a freaking Coors Light or Budweiser.) It was definitely a beautiful stadium; I was impressed.

8/9/2010 9:05:35 PM
I'm finally back home - had a wonderful vacation, but I'm glad to be back (and to be able to unpack my gear and fetish wear!)

8/7/2010 3:32:04 PM
Still on vacation -- back Tuesday or so.

7/30/2010 5:25:39 AM
Won't be around for a week or so as I have family visiting me. Hope the internet and the kink community survives without me for nine days!

7/29/2010 4:56:42 AM
Yay, I have power again! I will be on vacation w/family next week (they are visiting me) so now I just need to clean, buy new groceries, put together tourist's going to be a busy week. I love my family, but if they stand on the left on Metro I will have to leave them behind - ugh!

7/27/2010 7:54:06 PM
Where is LaMistressa? Well, since the electricity at her place has been off since Sunday, she is staying at her sissy girl's place! I may be a bitch, but I'm not as big a bitch as mother nature....or Pepco. Hopefully back home tomorrow (and then I'll see if my cable works or not, ugh.)

7/23/2010 7:17:29 PM
I hate to blather on and on about the weather, but it is supposed to get up to 102 tomorrow. I have plans, and I'm trying to think of what clothing I can wear that won't melt or burst into flames when faced with these temperatures - protect the latex, people!

7/23/2010 4:51:39 AM
I'm very happy because this weekend my sissy girl comes back from her vacation. It's been way too quiet around here without her!

7/21/2010 4:42:51 AM
I'm going out with coworkers this Thursday, so I probably won't be at DO Happy Hour. If things end early I may pop by, but that would mean a really late night, so it's unlikely.

7/20/2010 4:55:34 AM
I'm back in town - thanks everyone who sent me notes or nice words in my absence. I'm still just dying from the heat this summer, but I can't let that stop me from having fun, can I?

7/16/2010 4:49:58 PM
Going out of town for the weekend to drink bourbon and reminisce with old friends. I'll be back Monday; try to behave in my absence (yeah, right.)

7/14/2010 8:26:30 PM
I got some bad news today so I'm not feeling super chatty and I doubt I will go to happy hour tomorrow night.

7/12/2010 4:07:39 PM
A friendly reminder: I'm not interested in married submissives.

7/12/2010 4:31:28 AM
I finally take a day off of work, and I end up waking up even earlier than I usually do on Mondays. Sigh. Oh well, time to make some coffee and maybe sit outside for some reading. I'm rereading World War Z because I loved it so much, and because I haven't gotten my hands on a copy of Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter yet.  I can't recommend World War Z highly enough - it's a great read.

7/11/2010 7:23:25 PM
Tomorrow will be dedicated to trying to get my hair under control. I need a cut and color and probably some sort of conditioning treatment to help tame the damaged summer mess that is on top of my head. On the non-boring side of my life, I got to have a lot of fun with my 3' whip last night - a good friend volunteered for target practice on his chest. Isn't it nice to have such good friends?

7/9/2010 5:59:16 PM
Tonight is a quiet night at home, Saturday is a play party/welcome home party for a very dear friend, and Sunday? Sunday is recuperation from Saturday (heh) as well as watching the World Cup finals and brunch with my circle of friends. It's good to be the Queen this weekend.

7/8/2010 6:14:49 AM
I'm going to brave the heat and head out to Dark Odyssey's happy hour tonight - they better have good air conditioning! lol

7/7/2010 8:28:40 PM
Okay, this heat wave has to stop. Seriously. A Domme can only spend so much time bedraggled and sweltering before losing the will to live (or at least sweating her makeup off...)

7/5/2010 4:31:13 PM
I had a very nice 4th of July with my friends and a nice weekend overall.  I missed an opportunity to use my singletails on Saturday, but I'll make up for it some other time in the near future. Tonight I am going to relax in the air conditioning and give myself a pedicure, as my poor feet did a lot of walking in the dust and heat of the Mall - blah!

6/29/2010 4:49:38 AM
Out of town for a couple of days, but I'll be home in time for the big fourth celebrations this weekend. Hopefully by the time I get home the heat wave might break - I am tired of 98 degree days with 90 percent humidity, ugh!

6/27/2010 7:01:54 AM
A heartbreaking finish, but I really enjoyed watching the US in the World Cup yesterday with friends. Today I've got some work junk to do, and I'm going to try to spend as much time as humanly possible in the air conditioning. Even with massive sunscreen and a hat, I'm getting way too much sun these days, and it's just too hot out to have fun today, unless you are on the water (which I am not.) Enjoy your Sunday!

6/23/2010 5:37:19 AM
Thanks everyone who came out to my workshop -- hope you had fun; I certainly did! Tonight and tomorrow are going to be quiet nights. No happy hour for me this week, as most people will be at Leather Retreat and it will be dead (and I am tired anyway.) Have a great rest of your week.

6/21/2010 5:21:33 PM
Tonight I am finalizing my outline for tomorrow's workshop on feminization (BR! 8 pm! Be there!) and I'm watching highlights from today's World Cup matches. For the record, I'm pro vuvuzela, but I won't have one at my class tomorrow so you are all safe from the racket.

6/21/2010 5:05:54 AM
On the plus side, I did not get a sunburn on the water this weekend. On the negative side, I did get about three million various bug bites, and I've been scratching my arms like crazy! Hopefully they won't look too awful for Tuesday night's class - I've tried cortisone cream, anti-itch gel, and apple cider vinegar, but it still itches like a sumbitch! lol

6/19/2010 4:17:14 AM
Going out on the water for a day, so I won't be around much until Sunday. Have a fun weekend, whatever you are doing.

6/18/2010 2:35:30 PM
Just a reminder! My workshop on feminization and sissification  is this Tuesday at Black Rose.  Here's the blurb for the workshop: This workshop will cover feminization in different forms: crossdressing, feminization in humiliation play and gender play, and sissification. From discussing the history and background of crossdressing to clothing and makeup tips, this class will help reveal your feminine side. A resource list will also be given at this workshop.  -- Hope to see you there!

6/16/2010 8:00:22 PM
Wow, it is supposed to be 99 degrees this weekend. Must go swimming. This is the time of year when I wish there was fetish wear sundresses or something.

6/16/2010 4:34:58 AM
Friends are in town this week so I'm having a lot of fun visiting with them - went to trivia night at a local bar and came in second place (after being in last place most of the evening), going to lunch and possibly a museum, and just catching up in general. If only I didn't have to work this week, I'd have even more fun.

6/13/2010 3:10:33 PM
My job didn't kill me (and my project was actually quite successful), so all is good with the world.  I am spending the day relaxing and trying to make my little corner of the world orderly after so much work.  I'm thinking of going rafting or tubing next weekend - summer is here, and I love it.

6/8/2010 5:10:23 AM
Working on a big project so I won't be around much for this week. But my cold didn't kill me, so that's a plus, and the weather has turned beautiful, so that's another plus. If I can keep my job from killing me, all is good.

6/4/2010 6:51:51 PM
If I'm slow responding to emails its because I'm very behind at work and my cold is worse.  I hope to be back to normal both work wise and health wise in about a week.  Until then, hooray for Nyquil and Dayquil. Ugh.

6/2/2010 4:50:35 AM
I'm crankier than usual because I've caught a cold. There's nothing worse than a summer cold, blah.

5/31/2010 8:07:02 PM
This seems obvious to me, but if you have "Washington, DC" listed as your location should live in that area and not another part of the country or world.  Visiting here is not living here, and you can change the location in your profile easily by using the edit feature.  There seems to be a rash of "oh, my profile says DC? I actually live on Mars" people contacting me.

5/31/2010 1:45:23 PM
I wish this 3-day weekend was a little bit longer, but it still was wonderful.  Had a great time last night, now I'm relaxing at home. I hope that everyone had a very good Memorial Day weekend.

5/30/2010 8:25:57 AM
Woot, it's party day! I'm packing like a maniac -- glitter makeup, singletails, latex, booze, and more glitter.  I will be honest; I'm not nuts about wearing latex during the summer when it's a million degrees, but for tonight I will make an exception. If you're there I will see you there! (And if you're not...see you next year.)

5/28/2010 4:57:21 AM
Had a fun time at happy hour last night, and I am getting very excited for this weekend's big party. It's usually the best party of the year and so I can't wait!

5/25/2010 7:13:50 PM
Still confirming it, but hold June 22nd on your calendar if you want to attend my feminization workshop. I'll be covering crossdressing, sissification, makeup, and more during the class. If you have any ideas of what you want covered or if you'd like to be a demo model and you are in the DC area, message me.

5/23/2010 2:40:30 PM
Is there a full moon tonight? I'm getting a higher than usual amount of weird emails...kissing people and turning them into frogs, political flame war trolling, etc. - I'm all about hockey, football, signal whips, and pedicures, not reverse fairly tales and internet sniping.

5/23/2010 2:17:25 PM
Don't have the exact date set, but I will be teaching a class on feminization (cross dressing and sissification) at Black Rose near the end of June. I'm looking forward to it!

5/22/2010 5:54:03 AM
I will be at my favorite local party tonight -- if you know what I am talking about, then  I'll see you there.  And next weekend if my favorite party of the year, so I am very excited, and I'm going to break out my ice blue latex dress for the occasion.  It's good to be me right now!

5/20/2010 4:46:26 AM
I will be at Dark Odyssey's Happy Hour tonight, hanging out with friends and with my sissy. I wish this week was over already!

5/19/2010 4:50:37 AM
I am ready for the rainy weather to be over so I can get outside and have fun! I just got a new bike and I want to take it out for a spin, and I want to take my singletails out to the park - but rain and mud doesn't agree with them.  Let's have some sun already!

5/15/2010 4:20:22 AM
I've had a couple of people write me about my thoughts on Le Habs defeating the Pens and how I feel about it. Well, how do you think I feel about it? Still extremely bummed over the Caps loss, but congratulations and a big thank you to the Canadiens for taking out crybaby Crosby! I drink Cindy's bitter tears as an elixir and they taste delicious, ha. Remember, you can't spell Crosby without "CRY".

5/14/2010 7:14:36 PM
Went out to dinner tonight with friends and I got stuck at the restaurant because of driving rain and hail. At least the power stayed on and there was plenty of beer and good company. This weekend I'm doing some "bargain fetish" shopping (those who have taken my classes know some of my shopping secrets), then going to a barbecue party and relaxing. I've got my fingers crossed that I find some pretty heels or fetish wear tomorrow!

5/9/2010 2:49:25 PM
Fun weekend, but I think I managed to get windburn on my face. The weather has been crazy this weekend! I'm going to treat myself to a bubble bath and pedicure this evening, to try to get in shape and relaxed for the work week.

5/7/2010 7:01:21 PM
I've got a wonderful weekend planned -- grilling and hanging out w/friends and my sissy girl tomorrow night, then helping a friend move Sunday, and then hopefully hitting another friend's Mother's Day get together. For those of you who are Moms or still have your Mom, I wish you the happiest of Mother's Days, and for those who no longer have their Mom, I wish you peace.

5/5/2010 7:01:19 PM
Today was a really good day -- caught up w/a friend, watched some hockey (Bruins/Flyers), and - best of all -- found out the Buzzcocks are playing in town next week!

5/3/2010 6:08:31 PM
I'm usually pretty positive and upbeat here in my profile and journal, but tonight I hit a personal low.  I was supposed to meet someone for coffee tonight...and he stood me up. He had my phone number and email, but only chose to email me over an hour after we were supposed to meet.  Needless to say this is no way to treat a Domme (and you can be sure I will let my fellow Dommes know who this person is), but really this is no way to treat anyone.  I dislike vanilla dating but I think that internet dating makes people a lot more calloused in how they treat others. It makes me a lot less likely to agree to meet anyone, unfortunately.

5/2/2010 7:45:23 AM
I changed my profile back to the longer more elaborate one, as I am actively looking for a submissive again. I hate having to list so many "I don't like this, don't do that" sort of things, but experience has shown me that some things need to be communicated and reiterated. And yet I still get the one-line emails calling me "Miss" - ha!

5/2/2010 6:39:11 AM
I went to a party last night, and as I was leaving my apartment there were little baby slugs all over the steps! Ew! Still, I tried not to step on them, but there must have been ten of them out. I don't want to kill them, but I can't come home to that every night -- I guess I'll try spraying some salt water everywhere and see if that deters them a bit. Otherwise I'll name them all Sidney Crosby and then I won't feel so bad about getting rid of them.

5/1/2010 7:20:50 AM
For those of you who are local, it looks like I will be teaching another class for Black Rose near the end of June. It will probably be my humiliation class, but I also want to see if maybe they are interested in presenting a feminization/sissy class - think there would be any interest in that?

5/1/2010 7:10:39 AM
Every once in a while I space out and either fall asleep still logged onto CM or forget to log out before going to work. Tonight was an example of this - went to bed and didn't log out (I blame espresso martinis and chocolate fondue from dinner w/friends.) So if it ever looks like I'm pulling a marathon chat session here....I've probably wandered away from the computer. It happens.

4/29/2010 5:19:08 AM
I may go to DO's happy hour tonight, or I may just go home and watch Mad Men and sulk.  Haven't quite made up my mind yet. Those who know me know how to reach me.

4/28/2010 7:09:06 PM
Crap crap crap crap crap. That is all I have to say right now. Such a disappointing end to a great season. Ah well - I'm still going on the wait list for season tickets for next year.

4/26/2010 4:58:04 PM
I got home late from work and I cannot believe that the Habs are already up 2-0. Ugh! I am not a happy camper right now.

4/25/2010 7:48:54 PM
Wow, there is a really crazy thunderstorm rolling through the area. I'm relaxing after a busy weekend -- play party, shopping, grilling and chilling. I could really use a day off to recover from my weekend! Also finally got around to breaking in my Victor Tella 4' singletail; I really love it.  It responds very nicely; another six months and it will be perfect.

4/24/2010 8:33:03 AM
Yeah, not so happy about game 5 last night. That was a disappointment. But, I have fun weekend plans: a party, lunch with a fellow Domme, some shopping, etc. Sunday I have to get some work done, but even working at home and relaxing is better than having to drag butt into work.  I may get a pedicure tonight, so if I do I'll post pictures of the new spring color.

4/21/2010 9:30:03 PM
I'm not 100% sure if I'll make HH tomorrow night, but I hope to get there. It may be late because of work. My weekend plans are still up in the air, but I really want to play with my singletails so I'm going to focus on making that happen. (Oh, and yes -- I really enjoyed tonight's game four of the series. Sorry Habs fans, but back to DC for game five!)

4/19/2010 6:29:30 PM
Another night, more hockey. Sorry if you're expecting anything remotely fetish oriented from my posts right now!

4/18/2010 2:49:55 PM
Is there anything longer or more exciting than the last minute of a good hockey game?

4/18/2010 2:00:36 PM
I'm having a really relaxing and wonderful day, even though it's a bit chilly outside. The highlight of today was shoe shopping with my sissy girl, who found a gorgeous pair of peep toe pumps for me, and on sale! After some play time and some hanging out, I'm enjoying a quiet moment at home, watching hockey.

4/15/2010 9:06:51 PM
My allergies were so terrible today I could not drag myself out after work. I must not be the only one, as every store I went to was out of the allergy meds I use (and the generic I bought is not cutting it, unfortunately.) I'm hoping to go to a rope class this weekend, but the pollen has got to give me a break.

4/11/2010 11:32:15 AM
Long story short: good weekend, great weather, movie night w/my sissy, drinking coffee, watching the Caps in OT.  In honor of spring, I put a picture of my cherry blossom pink pedicure on my profile. ETA: Crap, the Caps lost in sudden death shootout - oh well, time to go outside and enjoy the crazy nice weather.

4/8/2010 5:33:15 AM
I will be at Dark Odyssey's Happy Hour tonight, hanging out with friends. Hope it's not so crazy hot tonight (or that they have their air conditioners on at the HH.)

4/4/2010 5:48:32 PM
As always, I had a very busy and fun weekend. Did a tickle torture scene last night, as well as playing around with some clothespins and cbt. I also treated myself to my favorite vegetarian lunch today (vegan Chinese) and ran some non-exciting errands. And, yes! The couch is put together and I plan on relaxing on it this very evening. Hope everyone else had a great weekend.

4/3/2010 9:05:42 AM
This weekend I am seeing the cherry blossoms (yes, fighting the tourists), hanging out with friends, going to a kink party, and hopefully getting this damn couch put together! It's good to be the Queen.

4/1/2010 2:55:08 PM
I will be at Dark Odyssey's Happy Hour tonight but I will get there a little late.  Hope to catch up w/all my friends there!

3/29/2010 9:06:06 PM
Wow, am I tired. Went to pick up a new loveseat tonight, and I rented a zipcar as I was too "thrifty" (read: cheap) to pay for delivery. Lesson #1: loveseats are heavy! Lesson #2: despite her slender build, my sissy maid can lift some heavy stuff. I'm still going to need some Advil and pain gel tonight, but we got the job done.

3/27/2010 9:11:31 AM
Why are so many bio submissive males using the term "boi" to describe themselves these days?  I am bi and active in the lgbt community, and where I'm from a "boi" is a younger butch or a younger trans man - and bio males, that ain't you. If the term was appropriated by the bdsm community I did not receive the memo, that's for sure! In conclusion: you damn kids get off of my lawn.

3/25/2010 4:29:20 AM
I really can't believe that I am 47 today, as I really don't feel that old....but I suppose I am!

3/22/2010 6:45:27 PM
I'm on work travel tomorrow so I probably won't be online much during the week, but my birthday is this week so when I get back in town I will be looking to celebrate!

3/19/2010 2:51:58 PM
Hooray for the weekend and great weather! I have some fun planned including a slumber party with some girl friends on Saturday. I predict a hangover and brunch in my future for Sunday....hope that everyone has a lovely weekend!

3/17/2010 5:09:33 AM
I'm staying in tonight to avoid the St Patrick's Day craziness, but I hope that everyone has a great time tonight. Today's weather is beautiful - so glad it is almost Spring!

3/15/2010 4:41:41 AM
A good weekend despite the weather -- movies, brunch with friends, an impromptu trip to the zoo, coffee, lots of walking around in the drizzle.  I missed the L F & P, but I do not need to spend money on gear right now....who decided to have this event during tax season? lol

3/13/2010 7:59:34 AM
Home for a rainy weekend -- got a play date with emily tonight, then I'm headed to a drag queen brunch on Sunday. I really hope the queens don't get wig hair in my eggs benedict, but I'll ignore that if I can get a good Bloody Mary.

3/10/2010 4:55:54 AM
No Happy Hour for me this week as I am on work travel again. If I can just get through March my life will be much, much better. I don't do well with this much travel (unless it is to really exciting places....)

3/7/2010 11:06:16 PM
Had a lovely weekend, and now I've stayed up way too late from watching the Oscars and I really need to get to sleep! I hate the night before the work week starts; I always have a hard time unwinding and getting in the weekday groove.

3/6/2010 7:39:31 AM
Okay, this is my new favorite profile on CM; I've been laughing for five minutes over this little gem! (emphasis and snarky comments added by me)

"I am woman [hear me roar?], which likes to be in mood [I like to be "in mood" too] and attractive. I am very cheerful and kind person, which like to travel and meet interest people. I have appeasable character and it is easy to find with me common language [that "common language" being Babelfish!] . Clam, enthusiastic, generous, intelligent and romantic [I'm not intelligent, but I'd love to be "clam"!] . Loke to be polite and smile. Also I am very patient.I Like to read and to play bowling in spare time. Sometimes i like to dance and to listen to a good music. Appreciate people who are in a good fit, because like to go in for sports [Oh, I am having a fit just reading this profile...]

I hope to find cheerful, sympathetic and kind man, which will care me and do my life more bright and fun. I seek some man, which will To consider me as second half of him and who understand my soul."

I will be grinning about "clam, enthusiastic" all day today! Clams!

3/6/2010 6:20:57 AM
I'm really looking forward to this weekend's nice Spring weather -- looking at some real estate with my sissy girl, then meeting friends for roller derby tonight.  I want to get outside and soak up the sunshine!

3/5/2010 7:39:25 PM
I just painted my fingernails this very trendy new jade color....and I don't know, it may be just a bit too edgy for me.  When I'm not in fetishwear my clothing and makeup are actually pretty classic and conservative, and I just don't know if I can rock green nails. Maybe I'll save it for my next pedicure; for now I am still loving the wintry silver I have on my toes.

3/3/2010 5:00:43 AM
Home from travel and the big event -- and yet again,  I've caught a bad cold and lost my voice. I have a lot of sinus problems and it is very frustrating sometimes. Still, my work went well and I had a good time (however brief) at DO:WF.  I'm really hoping I am well enough to pop by happy hour tomorrow night to catch up with all my friends -- the happy hour after the event is always a lot of fun.

2/23/2010 5:06:27 AM
Going on travel for a few days tomorrow, but I will be making an appearance at this weekend's big event in town. Wish I was there for the whole event, but I have to keep my job, right? I'll be back Sunday -- and I can't believe it, but I'm flying someplace just as snowstorms hit. Please let my luck hold out; I can't get stuck twice in a row!

2/22/2010 5:11:39 AM
Gah! How did it get to be Monday already???? I had a great weekend but I am completely not ready for work, blah.

2/18/2010 5:13:07 AM
I'm very excited today because I have a party to attend this weekend and cuddle time scheduled with my sissy maid. She has some sort of late Valentine's Day present for me, and I can't guess what it is, and she has a new latex doll mask that we'll try out tonight. So no happy hour for me this week - I need some private time vs. public time. (Can you blame me?)

2/17/2010 4:36:20 AM
I'm trying to think of a time when my area wasn't buried in snow and 20 degrees, and I can't remember it. Amazing what a week of the stuff can do to your mind.  I think the day that I see a patch of new grass, a bunny, and a daffodil I will faint from happiness. And I hate to stoop to this, but I am shopping for silk long underwear at lunch today, because I am tired of feeling cold! My sex appeal is as low as the outside temperatures these days, ugh.  I do not make wool socks and snow boots hot, sad to say.

2/15/2010 10:52:18 PM
I hope that everyone had a very Happy Valentine's Day! I had fun hanging out with good friends and enjoying treats. I need to get to bed as I have to get up early to get out of the snow and back to my commuting again, ugh.

2/11/2010 8:46:29 AM
I get a lot of requests to chat. It's flattering, but unless I've gotten to know someone via email or what have you my answer is usually "no thanks." If I accepted every invitation to chat, I'd never leave the house and I'd eventually starve to death at my desk. Meanwhile, my yahoo messenger is filled with names of people I chatted with once and likely don't remember, but if I log in they are insulted that I don't remember chatting with them eight months ago. It's just not a good use of my time. Anyway, don't be offended if I don't want to chat 10 seconds after you email me; if I'm interested in chatting I will let you know.

2/11/2010 6:58:13 AM
No Metro, so another day at home. I did some shoveling yesterday, and today I plan to get outside and walk around to see my neighborhood. My sissy lives inside the city so she is at work -- this is the disadvantage of being out in the 'burbs!  At least the sky outside looks pretty, vs. the whiteout conditions yesterday. I'd take my singletail out in the snow, but I'm sure it's way too deep in the little park where I practice. Oh well!

2/10/2010 10:12:59 AM
Snowy enough for you out there? Sheesh!

2/9/2010 3:33:07 PM
Thanks to all those who have been asking about my travel delays. I did make it home in time to see the Super Bowl with my sissy girl, and it was an amazing game. I felt bad for Peyton Manning and the Colts, but still - what a game! The rest of this week has been pretty horrific, at least as far as the weather (and my commute) goes.  I am officially ready for Spring!

2/6/2010 10:54:01 PM
Fingers crossed that I can get home tomorrow via Amtrak -- it will take forever to travel via train, but I want to get to DC and watch the Super Bowl with my sissy! lol

2/5/2010 8:35:06 PM
Ha -- I am stuck out of town courtesy of Snowpocalypse 2010. I'm fine and hav ing a good time, but I really want to get home in time for the super Bowl! Keep your fingers crossed for me.

1/31/2010 11:52:49 AM
Had a lazy evening yesterday chilling with the sissy maid, now I'm watching hockey, drinking beer, and doing some laundry. This is about as exotic as it gets on Sundays, hah.  I have a funeral to attend tomorrow, so I'm trying to relax as much as possible today and not get too worn out thinking about it.  I'll check the snow situation in a bit and if it's not too cold out (or buried in white stuff) then I'll head to the park with my signal whip for some quiet time to practice.  There's something very zen about cracking a whip in a snowy field with no one around you.

1/30/2010 8:43:07 AM
It's a very pretty snow day here, so I'm going to stock up on coffee and wine and firewood (I have the tp and milk and bread taken care of already, hah.) Just wish it wasn't quite so cold out - it almost feels too cold to snow!

1/27/2010 7:59:51 PM
I'm somewhat scattered and blue this week as I had a friend pass away unexpectedly. If nothing else, times like this remind you to stay in touch with your friends and to enjoy your life and be positive. My friend was a very happy and open person, and although we didn't agree on stuff like politics or religion, it didn't matter because it was so clear that he genuinely liked you for exactly who you were. We could use more of that in this world.

1/23/2010 7:59:19 AM
I'm excited about football this weekend -- I'm cheering for the Saints and the Colts. After that, I don't know who I'll pick as I like both teams a lot.  Beyond that I'm going to a small get together with friends tonight, then playing with my sissy girl. Not a super exciting weekend, but that's okay by me!

1/16/2010 1:05:49 AM
On a cheerier note, I think tomorrow will be warm enough that I can take my Victor Tella singletail out to the park to play with it!  It's only a 4' signal whip, but it's just long enough that if I really get going in my apartment I'll either knock over a vase or put my eye out or something like that. But there's a quiet little park surrounded by trees that is just perfect for throwing it - and if anyone asks, I tell them I'm a sport cracker (partially true.) So fingers crossed for good weather tomorrow!

1/16/2010 12:49:22 AM
I've been getting a lot of emails recently from people who only have accounts for a day or two.  They write you twenty times and then poof! gone.  I sometimes get too much email (or have other priorities), so I don't always answer everything immediately - maybe people get discouraged, but this is a discouraging world sometimes. Or maybe everyone is put off by the scammers. Who knows?

1/13/2010 7:38:02 PM
My thoughts are with the people of Haiti and the rescue workers racing to help with the recent disaster in Port au Prince. If you are looking for a way to be helpful and want suggestions on good NGOs who are working there, just email me for recommendations and ideas.  And if you've ever laughed at one of my sports posts or thought of giving me a tribute, email me for info on my donation drive page.

1/9/2010 6:17:02 AM
Oh my God, another freezing weekend. I'm going to a fetish party tonight and I am thinking of ways to make a Snuggie look fetishy because I am tired of being cold! I'm probably going to put my sissy in a straitjacket just to keep her bundled up (a Snuggie would kill her from the humiliation.) In the meantime, only mulled wine and my fireplace will pull me through this weather crisis.

1/7/2010 8:23:14 PM
I've had people asking me my thoughts on Shanahan as the new Skins coach, and they are as follows: I'm not optimistic (due to ownership), but I am soooo glad it's not Gruden! Beyond that, I could give a flying fuck - the Skins are doomed until Snyder goes away.

1/2/2010 12:06:05 PM
Between the wind today and the extreme cold temperatures, I am cuddled up with a fire in the fireplace and a book on zombies. I'm going out to dinner with friends later, but I am not looking forward to the cold outside!

1/1/2010 10:46:33 AM
Happy New Year and best wishes for 2010, everyone!

12/28/2009 10:52:11 PM
Home (late) from travel -- and I have to say, the most amazing holiday present I got was the Bucs beating the Saints in overtime! Unbelievable, wasn't it?

12/23/2009 6:34:21 PM
Okay, tonight's Caps game was a nice refreshing break from all of the depressing football! Wish I had been at Verizon Center, but I'm busy packing for the holiday. Hope that everyone has a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

12/22/2009 7:29:17 PM
I wanted the Giants to win, as I wrote yesterday, but still....oh my God, that game yesterday was so embarrassing! And that trick formation play -- that they continued to execute after the Giants had called a time out and had already seen the shift! -- I was cringing for them. And I like humiliation. And I'm a Bucs fan. But honestly, that was just too awful to watch.

12/21/2009 8:55:10 AM
Add this one to the "Christmas Miracle" category -- the Bucs won another game this weekend, whoo! That makes, what, two this season? And for tonight's football game....I'm rooting for the Giants, as my sissy girl is a fan. Sorry, Skins fans!

12/20/2009 10:09:51 AM
The bad news is my flight home for today was canceled. The good news is, I have a flight rescheduled a few days from now, so I'll have time to get over the cold I have, and I can relax at home and enjoy my tree and fireplace. I am pretty snowed in right now, but I have enough coffee, tea, wine, snacks, and entertainment options that I will survive a day or two without a store run.  And now it is time for a nap on the couch while watching football!

12/20/2009 10:05:56 AM
For those who keep spamming me: no, I do *not* wish to work part-time from my home, thanks anyway.

12/19/2009 8:06:36 AM
I know this is going to be a really obvious post, but...DAMN, it's snowy outside!

12/18/2009 11:41:27 PM
I have a cold, it's snowing like crazy, and I'm supposed to fly out of National on Sunday - my holiday vacation has just taken a turn for the worse! I'm going to try to get back to sleep and get ready for shoveling fun tomorrow morning. Oh - and I have some cute Christmas presents for emily...and we're going to be stuck across town from each other! Not a good holiday start.

12/16/2009 3:57:19 AM
Haven't been around much as I'm getting ready for the holidays. Lots of work, parties, and decorating before I go on vacation - hope that everyone has a great holiday season, whatever you are celebrating.

12/6/2009 2:16:01 PM
Wow, was that Redskins game a heart breaker or what? And to think I thought the Saints were going to stomp them into the ground - that was really close! I'm going to relax and watch the Cowboys/Giants game, but I don't think it can top the Skins/Saints game for excitement.

12/5/2009 9:56:34 AM
It's snowing, I have a cup of coffee, the fireplace is lit, and I'm listening to Sufjan Steven's Holiday series. Life is pretty damn good in my little corner of the world.

12/1/2009 3:03:34 AM
Haven't written about football in a bit, but man did I enjoy the Saints win over the Patriots last night! I know it doesn't make me a good sport, but every once in a while I like a good old fashioned blowout - provided the team I like is the one winning big.  Of course, being a Bucs fan, I can't quite remember what that experience is like directly!

11/28/2009 3:27:25 PM
Today was beautiful outside, so I went for a long walk to enjoy some sunshine. I also ran a bunch of errands and went to get my hair done (wasn't entirely happy with what I had done last week so I went back.) Didn't do much Christmas shopping, but I saw some nice things to consider. It's been a very quiet and relaxing weekend - the quiet is a rarity for me, but I'm enjoying it.

11/26/2009 10:31:15 PM
I hope that everyone had a great Thanksgiving - my day was really great, relaxing with friends and eating way too much great food. Didn't watch any football (we watched movies instead), but I hear that I didn't miss too much so that's fine.

11/24/2009 9:51:30 PM
I am not a masochist, but I do have something really evil and cruel to suggest to those of you who are: try booking holiday travel online with a travel credit/voucher. Ouch! That is three hours of my life I will never get back, and now I have a very furrowed brow - gotta love air travel and gotta love the holidays.  But I have beaches in my Christmas future, so it was worth it. Maybe.

11/23/2009 7:03:20 PM
Things that make me smirk, part two: people who try to provoke a negative response from me by sending insults or challenges. First, I don't reward negative behavior, ever. Secondly - I used to work in customer service as well as in government, so there is very little that hasn't been said (both good and bad) to my face. I have a bit of a thick skin, and it is not in my interest to convince anyone that I am nice, serious, worth knowing, or whatever. Me? I'm here for the beer.

11/22/2009 7:24:30 PM
I'm home and relaxing (and trying to get organized and clean up after all this travel.) I'm a little bummed in that I have had some elbow pain recently, so I haven't been able to break in my new singletail or play with it very much.  But at least I got my hair fixed this weekend, and had a lovely dinner with friends.  Hopefully this work week will be nice and quiet, I need some quiet these days!

11/13/2009 7:07:41 AM
Man, I miss home.  This road trip needs to end!

11/11/2009 6:37:02 AM
I'm on travel yet again so no happy hour for me this week.  I wish that this was a fun or exotic trip, but it's not. After this I am ready to stay put for a while!

11/9/2009 9:41:08 PM
I've mentioned this before, but there are few things that makes me smirk more than seeing a Domme trying to be all badass in her pictures and profiles -- while holding a five dollar flogger. They're usually pretty young, and they're usually advertising themselves as professional, but the pros that I know have really great equipment.  We've all got to start somewhere, but good gear (especially for impact play) is worth the investment.  Life's too short to play with crap toys, kids! (And while you're at it, quit trying to be so intimidating and go take a few classes to build your skills.)

11/9/2009 8:40:46 PM
You know that I am in a good mood this week because the Bucs finally won a game! And in their throwback uniforms, no less! The triumphant return of Bucco Bruce was greatly appreciated by some of us, at least. (Now I want to find a Bucs shirt with Bruce on it....)

11/2/2009 1:49:26 PM
Thanks everyone who came out to my two workshops at Black Rose's big event this year. I had a great time seeing old friends and meeting new ones - not to mention the vending area and all the fun fetish wear and toys! It was a really good time; now I am relaxing and unpacking.

10/28/2009 10:09:59 PM
People write me a lot about the Redskins, but honestly I dislike Danny Snyder so much at this point I don't care if they ever win another game or not. But I am still a Bucs fan and have been for years....but honestly, they lose so much I'm just used to it. Maybe I'm inoculated from caring about it too much.

10/25/2009 7:21:33 PM
Watching football and packing for yet another trip. Had a wonderful weekend - play party, followed by brunch with the maid and then a bit of accessory & makeup shopping for next week's Black Rose event. I'll be presenting two workshops on Sunday, so if you're there come out and learn something!

10/24/2009 10:41:49 AM
There's an article on the St Pete Times website about a British guy who has been a Bucs fan for about 20 years. I think I'm in love! After all, he sounds like a glutton for punishment.... ;)

10/23/2009 7:16:55 PM
I will not be watching football this weekend as 1.) The Skins are playing the Eagles and I refuse to watch the Eagles, and 2.) I have to run around like a maniac to get my Halloween costume ready and to get ready for Black Rose next week. I look forward to attending the big event and presenting at it!

10/21/2009 3:55:51 AM
Travel day - I finally get to come home for a couple of days.  I will be at Happy Hour Thursday night as I fear everyone has forgotten who I am! lol

10/19/2009 5:25:38 AM
Hey everyone - I am on work travel again, so I'm behind on emails. Thought I had a lot of travel miles (getting close to 80,000), but I saw a woman with a "million mile" frequent flyer card yesterday -- yikes!

10/12/2009 4:52:52 PM
Dear hearts: I do not like cut-and-paste emails. Honestly, I don't know anyone who does. This includes emails where you cut and paste your entire freaking profile into an email. If you can't take the time to send something at least somewhat original to me, I can't take the time to give you anything other than an eye roll and a swift "not interested." Which, yes, I cut and paste into my response to you.

10/11/2009 2:36:21 PM
Have you seen that pistachio ad where a Domme cracks open a pistachio with a bullwhip? I think for my big day off tomorrow I'm going to try to replicate that with my signal whips. Should be entertaining if nothing else. Also, just a reminder -- I'm teaching two classes at Black Rose's big event this year, so clearly you need to attend! The classes are on two of my favorite subjects: one on frugal fetish wear and one on humiliation and objectification.  Be there...or don't!

10/9/2009 5:39:08 PM
So now the cold has settled into my chest. Big fat sigh. I'm making a cup of really strong tea and I'm going to add a shot of Jack Daniels to it, because at this point only home remedies seem to make me feel better at all.  But even if I have to crawl there I am going out tomorrow night with my sissy girl -- this resting quietly stuff gets old pretty quick!

10/7/2009 6:23:13 PM
Goddamnit. I have a stuffed up head, so another cold. This has been a month straight where something has been wrong with me but so far my doctor hasn't found anything wrong. Maybe my immune system has just given up? It's annoying and very frustrating - I am not used to feeling crappy all the damn time. At least this is just a head cold. I can tell you one thing: I am doing nothing but sleeping and mega dosing vitamin c for Columbus Day. Blah.

10/6/2009 5:23:00 AM
I'm sure some of you are waiting to see what I have to say about this weekend's debacle of a game....but you know what? I didn't think that Josh Johnson was too bad at all, and I was glad to see him have such a promising start in the first half of the game. And honestly - the Bucs would have won if their kicker hadn't failed so badly (and he was released this week.) So congratulations, Skins nation: you beat the worst team in the league. Barely. And we are showing some signs of growth and improvement. Just sayin'.

9/30/2009 6:46:29 PM
No Happy Hour for me tomorrow, as I have more work travel. I am hoping to sneak off tomorrow night and watch the Caps game, but I'll have to see if I find a friendly sports bar where I'm staying. Let's go Caps!

9/28/2009 3:41:32 AM
Watched football yesterday with my sissy maid. She's a Giants fan & I'm a Bucs fan, but I knew that yesterday's game would be disastrous for the Bucs so I didn't take it out on her, ha.  I also wasn't shocked by the Redskin loss to the Lions - they looked like zombies until the last three minutes of the game. Actually, as long as Snyder owns the team I couldn't care less whether they win or lose. He is a terrible team owner and doesn't deserve the fan base his team has. When I read the article about the Skins suing fans who couldn't make their season ticket contracts due to the economic downturn, I lost what little love I have for the team. If only Leonsis could buy them and rebuild the Skins - he truly seems to listen to and appreciate the fans.  Rant over! And next, may the least worst team win? Ha!

9/26/2009 11:09:38 AM
Thanks everyone for the good wishes on getting well -- I am feeling a bit better, although I'm still going to go to the doctor to see what is going on with me. I'm entering a very busy time of year for me, so I need to be well and have a lot of energy. I am going out tonight to BLP's shindig, but I am going to take it easy and not play too hard. I will, however, likely debut the new custom latex dress!

9/23/2009 7:34:30 PM
The only thing worse than not feeling well is not feeling well and then having to work with your insurance company all damn day since no one told you your PCP left! At this rate I'll get an appointment some time in July if I'm lucky. I'm going to go take a hot bubble bath and then collapse for the night. Needless to say, Happy Hour is looking shaky this week. Blah.

9/23/2009 4:30:11 AM
Sorry I haven't been posting much -- I have to see a doctor as I am having some health issues. Nothing major,  but it is definitely dragging me down energy wise. I'll get back in fighting form for this year's Black Rose event and other upcoming fun, just for right now I'm a bit under the weather.

9/16/2009 4:11:40 AM
I will not be at happy hour this week as I have a work event. But if anyone does go, keep in mind that camp is this week, so happy hour is very dead the week of camp, as everyone besides me is out having fun. So don't judge happy hour by this week, or just go next week!

9/15/2009 5:21:12 AM
I don't usually write a lot about fetish stuff, but I have to brag....emily has made me a custom-made ice blue latex dress, and based on the fittings it is the most gorgeous piece of fetish wear I have. I am so excited about showing it off at the next big event. It is really, really hot!

9/14/2009 9:02:01 PM
Didn't watch football tonight because I think I'm still in shock over how BAD Sunday was for the Bucs! lol Honestly, the score does not even remotely reflect how crappy that game was. It was just embarrassing. I did enjoy the Giants/Redskins game, however -- after reading the Post's article on the Redskins suing season ticket holders who are hurting due to the economic downturn, I am not a fan anymore. Honestly, between Snyder suing grandma, Michael Vicks in Philly, and the possibility of a strike in the future, I'm glad that hockey will be starting soon! Oh, one more thing -- the Redskins also played *terribly* - they looked as bad as they did in most of the preseason games, when everyone was saying "oh it doesn't count, that's just the preseason." Embarrassing, people!

9/8/2009 9:36:51 PM
I'm feeling much better, thanks everyone. I even went to an amusement park this weekend and rode a bunch of roller coasters, so you know that I made sure I was on decongestants, just in case I got stuck upside down! It was a fun day - I definitely need a vacation in my near future.

9/5/2009 12:47:09 AM
Thanks to everyone who has sent me get well wishes -- I am feeling better.  I'm going to spend most of this weekend resting and relaxing and continuing to get better. I'm going to miss a couple of fun parties, but it's more important that I get well.

9/3/2009 1:12:45 PM
Yes, I am still sick. Many thanks to the maid for taking care of me this afternoon, as I am in sad shape. Needless to say, no happy hour for me tonight! I'm on the couch and crashed out pretty hard.

9/2/2009 5:09:06 PM
Holy crap I do believe I am even worse today. Going to bed now -- I have a million things to do, but I think sleep wins more than anything. I have to start getting ready for my classes for Black Rose, but maybe that can wait until this weekend. Hooray for Dayquil and Nyquil, that's all I can say. Sheesh.

9/2/2009 5:08:12 AM
Still sick. Blah. My sinuses are now bothering me, so depending on the time of day my ears are ringing or my head hurts. Needless to say, I am not a joy to be around right now!

8/31/2009 4:00:25 PM
I haven't been very chatty recently - I am getting over a cold, and it is really making me tired. I'm fine, though - nothing to worry about.

8/21/2009 3:23:50 PM
On the "unclear on the concept" front, I just had someone email me with the salutation, "Hello, Miss!" Reading is fundamental, people, and details count.

8/20/2009 10:33:48 PM
My sincerest condolences to the family and friends of Jack McGeorge, a leader in our community. DC was lucky to have him in our midst. Plus, he told the best scene joke ever. Jack, you are missed -- rest in peace.

8/20/2009 5:04:38 AM
I'm going to be at Dark Odyssey's Happy Hour tonight, but I will be there a little later than usual. Don't have too much fun without me!

8/17/2009 9:29:28 PM
Thanks everyone who has written me about my comments on the Eagles and Michael Vick. I watched part of the 60 Minutes interview with him and it just didn't seem like he was very remorseful. I guess time will tell as to whether he is sincere or not. In other football news - the Bucs lost their first preseason game, Redskins totally blew their first preseason as usual for my teams, hah! I realize that these games are not the actual season, but I have a feeling it might be the shape of the season to come.   In happier news, my sissy maid is nearly home again - bout damn time!

8/14/2009 1:23:42 AM
It's been a long time, but I finally have something to write about football. I have never been a fan of the Philadelphia Eagles (although I like McNabb) but now -- all I can say is wow, a new low for the world of football.  I will not watch games with the Eagles, period. And I know that Tony Dungy is speaking out on Michael Vick's behalf, but I'm just not as forgiving a person  as he is.  I don't think someone who tortured animals should be able to come back to a high paying career and the public spotlight. Shame on Philadelphia and shame on the Eagles. (Edited to add: I just read on a sports blog that McNabb lobbied to get Vick on the team? Scratch what I wrote earlier about him being a class act!)

8/11/2009 3:34:23 AM
I'm prepping my fetish wear workshop for this year's Black Rose, and let me tell you the idea of wearing latex in this heat wave is not very appealing. If only I had a fetish for wearing white cotton eyelet...I am definitely developing my taste for peach iced tea.

8/9/2009 3:41:31 PM
I officially am going to be working like a maniac this week, so no happy hour or anything fun like that for me. Life will go on, but it will be less fun without me being my usual sunny self. See you all in a week.

8/2/2009 4:11:00 PM
Can I just say that I always feel 100% better after getting my hair done and a pedicure? Not to mention looking better -- my hair was getting really ratty and crazy, but I've simply been too on the go to take the three hours to get it done correctly. But all is right with my world now, and I'm sure my friends and coworkers will be shocked with how adorable and presentable I look again.  In other news, I don't know if I mentioned it here or not, but I will be presenting two classes at this year's Black Rose event.  One class is on fetish wear and the other is on erotic humiliation and objectification.  Even if you have attended my classes before I am adding a lot of new surprises, so I hope people will come out for them!

7/29/2009 3:41:56 AM
Last week I was jet lag's bitch, this week I am work's bitch. It's making me somewhat bitchy! I am really going to try to do a big bunch of nothing this weekend -- no parties, no errands, just relaxing and maybe some glamortherapy (hair appointment, pedicure, etc.)

7/26/2009 9:55:50 AM
I'm awake, but just barely. This has been a very fun and very busy weekend. Any time I get to use my single tails and spend time with good friends is a good one by me. Today I'm going to relax and go to the movies with friends, then get ready for the work week.

7/25/2009 8:50:13 AM
Relaxing and doing a few errands prior to tonight's fun.  This has been a busy week for me, so taking it easy today is in order. The maid is at the beach with family this week so I will be doing my own cleaning - ha!

7/23/2009 5:04:53 AM
This could be the worst morning in my life. My espresso maker has broken and my allergies are in full force. Plus, I think a mosquito got to me in my sleep. I probably won't stay for long, but I'm going to stop by happy hour tonight to drown my multiple sorrows!

7/20/2009 9:24:51 PM
Wow, I am jet lag's bitch tonight! Despite the exhaustion, I am still planning to go to Happy Hour on Thursday off to bed to see if I can get on a normal schedule.

7/19/2009 2:01:46 PM
Big travel day today so I will be out of the loop for a day or so.  Part of me doesn't want to come home, but part of me can't wait to get back to my bed and my coffee maker.  Have a great Sunday, or Monday, or whatever day you are having!

7/17/2009 3:26:01 PM
In the "be careful what you wish for " category, my travel dates may be extended due to weather concerns.  Poor me, trapped in a nice hotel with a great spa and good room service...but Iwould like to get home someday!

7/16/2009 12:22:40 PM
No happy hour for me tonight as I am still out of town. Try to survive without me, won't you?

7/13/2009 6:28:57 PM
I'm still packing tonight, which is sort of sad when you consider that I am trying to "pack light" for my travel. I fear that I don't know what packing light actually means -- I've scaled back on clothing and shoes, but then when I add my toiletries bag and my curling iron and flat iron and evening bag and sandals...the bag is too damn full.  I may need a pack mule to get to the airport tomorrow!

7/12/2009 11:30:25 AM
I'm packing for a big trip. It's not very exciting -- well, the trip is, but not the packing part.

7/11/2009 8:28:45 AM
Thanks everyone for all the messages about the mosquito. I have dispatched of it and sent it to its eternal reward. Unfortunately, I fear it may have friends still hanging out (it being summer and all.) Today is an errand day as I have some travel coming up next week. The grind never ends but I keep on slinging.

7/10/2009 7:54:08 PM
I've tried to think of what is the most annoying situation in the world, and right now I would have to say it is having a mosquito loose in my apartment and not being able to kill it! How does it keep escaping me? Grrrrrrrr! It has to die before I go to sleep or else I will wake up with a million bites. Some way to start my weekend, right?

7/6/2009 9:38:34 PM
So far this week is turning out to be pretty frustrating. Its hard enough to go back to work after a three day weekend, but having email instructions ignored or not answered is making me a bit bitchier than usual. I'm going to write it off as a Monday. I'm on travel next week so I should focus on that.

7/5/2009 12:38:01 PM
Relaxing at home after a long and fun weekend. Didn't see the big fireworks last night, but the neighborhood party I went to had enough illegal fireworks that it was almost like being on the Mall. Not a good idea safety wise, but it was a lot of fun! Today I'm doing some summer cleaning and getting ready for more travel.  I don't always like to be so busy, but it beats being bored to death.

7/3/2009 11:46:08 AM
Oh, come on rain, hold off for tonight's pool party and fireworks! I am in need of serious grilling and chilling (okay, I've already started the chilling part with some limoncello and soda.)

7/2/2009 4:10:58 AM
I'll be at my usual place tonight, hanging out with friends and being silly. Then back to back barbecues this Friday and Saturday, and then Sunday I'm just going to vegetate. Hope everyone has a great 4th of July weekend! Oh, for those wondering -- I am devastated that Brashear is going to the NY Rangers.  Ugh!

6/29/2009 7:33:14 PM
I totally forgot -- I hope that everyone had a wonderful time at Leather Retreat this past weekend. I'm sure I'll be hearing lots of exciting stories this week!

6/28/2009 1:26:37 PM
Another lovely weekend is wrapping up. Had fun last night, have my toes looking all fresh and sparkly, and I'm going to the maid's for a dinner and some relaxing. Next weekend there's a big barbecue and (hopefully) some tubing. I think the secret of my happiness is that I am easily amused, and I enjoy the simple as well as the complex.  If you're happy with what you have, no one can fuck with you and steal your sunshine. It's the only thing I've learned in roughly one million years on this planet. Hope you all have a great Sunday!

6/27/2009 12:12:01 PM
I'm listening to old school Motown and getting ready for a party tonight. I think my refrigerator is dying, which is quite tragic. Thank goodness I haven't bought a lot of perishable stuff this week, but no fridge in late June is not a good thing. If I lived in a perfect world right now, I would go to a huge play party inside a refrigerated warehouse - the heat makes me want to nap, as opposed to kicking ass. Oh well, I will tough it out!

6/25/2009 4:58:44 AM
I'm pretty exhausted and it looks like it will be a hot and humid day, but I do plan on stopping by Dark Odyssey's Happy Hour tonight, if only for a short while. Hopefully the rain will hold off until that time!

6/24/2009 5:01:39 AM
I am so tired this week and I really wish it was the weekend already. I could definitely use a three day weekend. I think the heat is really knocking me out, and it's supposed to be in the 90s this weekend, argh! I have to find some fetish wear that's made out of cotton gauze or something, because I'm not a huge fan of being hot and sweaty.

6/22/2009 5:32:58 PM
My thoughts are with the Red Line Metro riders who were injured or killed today. It's a very sad day, and I am angry and horrified by today's accident. I ride the Metro every day (and it's been worse and worse recently), but I never thought I would see something like this.

6/21/2009 3:25:43 PM
Two different play parties this weekend, so I am very tired. I need an extra day off to recover from my weekend, but I don't think I'm going to get that. Next weekend I'll be more sensible and just go to one party - and maybe take a day off to rest and relax after that.

6/18/2009 5:12:42 AM
Hey, what a shocker - it's raining again. Ugh! Despite the inclement weather, I will be at Dark Odyssey's happy hour tonight in Dupont Circle.  I won't be staying out too late, but I always say that, don't I?

6/14/2009 1:44:50 PM
I'm really excited because I'm going to see Jonathan Richman at the 9:30 Club tonight. I've had a crush on him for about 30 years - seriously! I was torturing the maid earlier today by playing Jonathan's music nonstop, but that's about as mean as I've been this weekend. It's too hot to be really cruel.

6/9/2009 8:03:17 PM
No happy hour for me this week, due to travel. But if you're looking for something fun and vanilla to do this week, you should go to Artomatic - it's very good this year!

6/9/2009 5:34:42 AM
Haven't been around much - very busy time of year for me, work wise. I will not be at Happy Hour this week due to work travel. But I do want to say "Go Red Wings" for tonight's game six! (I bet you thought I wasn't following hockey anymore, didn't you?)

6/4/2009 5:09:23 AM
I will be at Dark Odyssey's Happy Hour tonight, but only for a short time. I have a work event early tomorrow, so I have to behave. And good news -- I will have emily with me, as I have given her a second chance.  She is quite possibly the luckiest sissy in the world, or at least the mid-Atlantic region.

5/30/2009 11:24:17 PM
Apparently some people think that the way to cheer me up is by sending rude messages to me. You have to wonder about people sometimes. If I don't answer you right away in the next few days it's because I'm a bit depressed, and if I block you it's because you are being annoying or you are sending endless cut-and-paste messages.

5/30/2009 10:56:18 AM
This is a sad weekend for me. I have released emily from my service. I'll miss her. Not going to say anything more about it, just very blue at this time.

5/29/2009 10:16:26 PM
I will be in Baltimore tomorrow for a party. I won't say where I will be, but if I see you I see you, right?

5/28/2009 4:35:50 AM
I will once again be at the Dark Odyssey happy hour, tonight at Dupont Italian Kitchen. Hope to see all my friends there!

5/25/2009 5:22:48 PM
I'm relaxing and recuperating from last night's amazing party. I'm very tired but it really was an amazingly fun time. I have a ton of work this week so it was good to have a crazy weekend with friends before putting my focus back on responsibilities.  Time to do a quick pedicure and then so some reading.

5/23/2009 10:52:35 PM
I am once again up way too late - watching Mad Men on dvd. I will be at British Lucky Paul's big event tomorrow night, so say hi if you are there. I am looking forward to it!

5/20/2009 10:07:20 PM
Despite staying up like the night owl that I am, I will be at Dark Odyssey's happy hour tomorrow night. I may be snoozing in the corner, but I will be there.

5/19/2009 8:24:47 PM
Dominant, dominate. Dominant, dominate. "I am a Dominant; therefore, I dominate." Is it really so hard to get the difference?

5/16/2009 2:45:39 PM
I am having a nice, quiet weekend so far. Okay, not so quiet - going to a play party tonight, and did some impact play with a friend earlier, which was a lot of fun. I'd like a little nicer weather, but not much I can do about that, so it's all good.

5/14/2009 4:34:27 AM
Despite the horrific allergies and generally being exhausted, I am going to drag my butt to Dark Odyssey's Happy Hour tonight.  I missed everyone last week, so I'll be catching up with friends and commiserating over the Caps loss. See you there!

5/13/2009 11:30:32 AM
Sidelined today with horrible allergies. Working from home. The maid's fixing me dinner tonight and I sincerely hope I don't sneeze all over her. It's not pretty around here today, let me tell you. For now I'm just doing a bit of work and blasting old NIN and Jane's Addiction to keep my happy memories of this weekend going.

5/11/2009 5:32:19 PM
Relaxing at home, watching the Caps game (so far it's pretty nerve wracking - come on game seven back in Washington!) I'm also shopping for NIN tickets for June, but damn everything I want is sold out. Just saw the tour this past weekend, but I missed part of  the show so I want to go again. I am abusing the hell out of my entertainment budget, that's for sure.

5/6/2009 6:16:21 PM
No happy hour or play parties for me this weekend -- I'm traveling again. Travel seems to be my middle name these days, doesn't it?  In other news, if it doesn't stop raining here I will absolutely lose my mind. You've all been warned!

5/3/2009 10:11:05 AM
This post is going to kill the foot fetishists out there: I sliced my heel open today giving myself a pedicure! Arrrrgh, it hurts like a sumbitch.  I'm going to wait for the bleeding to subside, then I'll get back to painting my toenails. It's been raining here for days, and endless rain makes me a little stir crazy -- but I don't want to end up an amputee over my silly vanity! Anyway, no more callous shavers for me -- if I can't soften the skin with a pumice stone and lots of lotion, I will go to a pro. Yikes!

5/2/2009 10:42:10 AM
I swear to God, I need to switch to decaf -- this Caps/Penguins game is killing me already and it's only the first period. Let's go Caps!!!  On a non-hockey note, I'm very sorry I'll be missing the Sex 2.0 non-conference next weekend, but I'll be out of town seeing family. I do encourage people in the Washington area to attend it; it sounds very interesting.

4/30/2009 3:46:46 AM
Wow, the rain is making me so sleepy! But I am still going to Dark Odyssey's Happy Hour tonight, rain or shine. And I promise not to talk endlessly about hockey this week, *and* I promise not to stay so long that I miss the last train! lol I tell you, the maid's got a handful with me sometimes, poor thing.

4/26/2009 1:38:54 PM
The party was great, brunch was great, the Caps are beating the Rangers 5-2. It's a little hot out for my taste (what happened to Spring?) but overall this is a great weekend. And I just saw a hilarious ad with a wife in a french maid outfit and the husband in hockey gear for their "fantasy" night - ah, those crazy vanilla kids. I laughed; it was a cute ad.

4/25/2009 8:27:37 AM
The weather is beautiful today, I have a play party to attend tonight, and a brunch tomorrow. Am I bragging? Yes, yes I am! And how about the Caps win last night? That was the start of what promises to be a great weekend.

4/23/2009 4:26:39 AM
I will be at Dark Odyssey's happy hour tonight in Dupont Circle-- looking forward to catching up with friends. Don't know about DO? Go to their website. Don't know their website? Um...Google it?

4/20/2009 6:19:16 PM
I'm pretty exhausted from work travel and I've been having some stomach problems, so I haven't been around much here.  However, I do plan on going to Dark Odyssey's Happy Hour this week, even if it kills me - I miss my peeps!

4/18/2009 7:09:48 AM
Still on travel, and I'd rather be home.

4/16/2009 7:11:27 AM
Out of town for a few days - *try* to behave without me!

4/15/2009 4:47:22 AM
I'll be at the Caps playoff game tonight, rocking the red. I'm very excited! After that it's back on travel, so no happy hour again this week. I do fully expect DC kink society to collapse in my absence....kidding.

4/8/2009 9:11:07 PM
I'm traveling tomorrow, so no happy hour for me. But that doesn't mean that you should go!

4/5/2009 8:52:41 AM
Wow, in the "wish for it and it may happen" category, I friend of mine just offered me a free ticket to today's Caps game! Yeah! Maybe next I'll wish for a unicorn and a bucket of gold or something. Maybe today I'll splurge and get one of those girly/sparkly Caps shirts, because I like girly and sparkly things. In other news, the party I went to last night was a lot of fun. I did a whipping scene with a very cute girl lashed against my maid - space was tight, but it ended up working pretty well.  I swear I love my whips more than any other toy right now.

4/3/2009 6:12:40 PM
Man, I wish I was at the Verizon Center tonight -- I'm watching the Caps on TV and it's very exciting -- place looks packed to the gills. I may break down and try to get tickets with a scalper on Sunday, but I know that will cost me!

4/2/2009 4:43:55 AM
I almost forgot -- tonight I am having an unofficial "Birthday Do Over" party at Dark Odyssey's Happy Hour, as my actual birthday ended up being so traumatic stomach wise. Don't know if I'll be up to having a drink yet, but I'll definitely be socializing!

4/1/2009 8:23:33 PM
Thankfully I have recovered from my bout with stomach problems, so I am planning on having fun this weekend. Going to play with my little sissy maid and have fun with friends. I'm also hoping to get a pedicure and have my hair done because I have a lot of travel coming up, and I don't want to be all run down during it. The older I get, the more high maintenance I get!

3/27/2009 6:54:01 AM
Long story short: I got food poisoning on my birthday. My kidneys are killing me. Work went well and I managed not to barf on anyone. Home tonight. Jeez.

3/24/2009 7:57:32 PM
Thanks to everyone who sent me birthday wishes -- I will have a happy day tomorrow, even having to work it!

3/24/2009 12:56:14 AM
I'm up packing for work travel, blah. I put off packing until the last minute, but since I fly today I think I'm officially at the last minute. I will be out of town the rest of the week, so no happy hour for me this week. Hope that everyone manages to hold down the fort without me!

3/21/2009 7:09:58 AM
I'm excited and happy for three reasons today:  1. the sun is actually out and daffodils are in bloom,  2. I'm going to the theater tonight with my girl emily,  and (here's the big one on the horizon) 3. I scored great tickets to see NIN live while I'm going to be visiting family! I'd go see Trent at Merriweather Post Pavilion, but I'd rather fly home than drive to Columbia, you know what I mean? lol

3/18/2009 10:07:44 PM
I really should be asleep, and I know I'm going to regret the lack of sleep tomorrow. Eh, I'll sleep this weekend (and buy more eye cream.) Despite my stupidity, I am still going out to Dark Odyssey's happy hour tomorrow night -- I'll be the sleepy chick propped up in the corner.

3/16/2009 11:40:29 AM
I usually don't worry myself with who is "fake" and who is "real" around here, because one person's "fake" may just be someone with a different philosophy or interests. However....when I see two "Dommes" who both have the *exact* same text in their profiles ("well.. if u think u can handle me message me or add me in my yahoo... ****** or *****.com well.. im looking for a slave right now.. it is advantage if u are in my country..") and clearly commercial photos (one without the copyright info cropped from it) -- I laugh every time I see them. Is anyone ever fooled by these? Who are their targets, "slaves" from Ghana? Now that would be interesting, like talking in an echo chamber. Anyway, I amuse easily, what can I say.

3/14/2009 7:11:32 PM
Ugh, I'm exhausted. Went to the fetish flea today and bought a few things (not too many, though - I'm saving up for two new bullwhips.) I was supposed to go to a party tonight, but I got chilled on the way home and my spring allergies are starting to bother me, so I decided to stay home. Sometimes you just have to let the good times go on without you -- I'm relaxing on the couch with a big blanket and a cup of hot tea.

3/12/2009 4:55:59 AM
I'm pretty beat up from work this week, but as usual I'm going to stop by Dark Odyssey's Happy Hour tonight, sometime around 7 pm.  I'm hoping that a couple of raspberry vodka and tonics will help with my spring allergies - brilliant plan, wouldn't you say?

3/9/2009 5:00:55 AM
I suppose I have to go to work, don't I? I really don't want to, as the weekend was lovely but I didn't get much practical stuff done. I suppose this is why they pay me. In other news I have yet another birthday coming up and I just can't believe that I am going to be 46.  To celebrate being another year older, I'm going to auction myself off as a Top for a charity event to raise money for fighting Leukemia. I've never participated in an auction before so I sure hope I raise more than $5 as that would be too embarrassing.

3/7/2009 9:28:44 AM
Quick weekend post -- hockey game was fun, although Toronto beat the Caps. Play party/birthday party for a friend last night, which was awesome. I've been playing a lot with my singletails, and that makes me happy. Dinner with friends and the maid tonight, and then tomorrow I work on my top secret contest entry for a local silly contest. I'd tell ya, but I'd have to kill ya! I'm so glad the weather is warmer; I'm totally going out to the National Arboretum to walk around in the sun.

3/5/2009 4:52:58 AM
I'm going to fight the cold tonight and stop by Happy Hour for a bit -- I probably won't stay too late, but I will be there. EDITED TO ADD:  sorry, I won't make it tonight, I just scored last-minute Caps tickets. Next week!

3/2/2009 5:25:04 AM
Okay, wow did we get a lot of snow last night! I picked a bad night to not have the maid stay over....looks like I am shoveling my walkway myself! It's very pretty though; I love it as long as the power stays on and the heat. I do have to go to work though, which is a real shame. On a quasi-kink note, I've been watching a lot of sport cracking videos online and now I want to learn some whip cracking tricks for outside of the play space. It was killing me to see people dragging their bullwhips on the ground, though - I'm used to signal whips (much smaller), and not having the whip scrape the floor, let alone the dirt. I figure it can't help but improve my throws, as well as my aim, which is a good thing.

3/1/2009 2:06:45 PM
We're supposed to get a bunch of snow tonight, which would be the first major snowfall of the season. I'll probably have to work tomorrow anyway, but I've got movies, treats, wine and beauty treatments stocked up just in case I get a snow day!

2/26/2009 2:27:38 AM
Despite waking up at a ridiculous hour, I will be at Dark Odyssey's happy hour tonight along with my other kinky friends. Come on out; it's a nice group of people (myself excluded.)

2/25/2009 5:04:48 AM
It's official: I am sick to death of winter and cold. I want spring, and lighter clothing, a more sunshine, and green grass and daffodils, and I want them now. Pronto!

2/20/2009 7:18:21 PM
I'm going to post something that may be bitchy, but it may also help some of you with your profiles. If you are taking pics for your profile in front of your bed, then make your damn bed! It does not look hot to have a rumpled messy bed behind your picture, be you Domme or sub. Make your bed!

2/19/2009 4:15:59 AM
I will be at Dark Odyssey's Happy Hour tonight, recapping this past weekend with friends. Tonight will probably be busy and crazy, so wave from across the room to say hi, hahaha.

2/16/2009 1:30:05 PM
I'm home relaxing from the big event, which was just wonderful. It's always so hard to go back to the regular world after an intense weekend like the one I just had. I played hard, tried some new things, and enjoyed the company of friends. Tonight will be a quiet night watching movies with emily and cuddling. The perfect end for a great weekend.

2/13/2009 9:04:18 AM
All right, today is the day! Sill packing and organizing for Winter Fire, but I'm almost ready. I have a bunch of play dates scheduled and a ton of fun people to catch up with at the event. If you're not there, oh well, you're missing out!

2/12/2009 5:11:26 AM
I'm not packed or ready for this weekend's big fetish event, but I'm still going to pop into the Dark Odyssey Happy Hour for a bit. I'm really looking forward to this weekend, just have to get my fetish wear and gear in will happen, provided I don't stay out too late tonight!

2/6/2009 10:15:57 PM
I really should be asleep, as my tomorrow is going to be busy. Getting my hair done and a pedicure so that I look all pretty and shiny for next week's big Winter Fire party -- never mind that I haven't even thought of what I'm going to be wearing while there, let me get my hair and hands and feet in order before I deal with those decisions. It's funny because I know what fetish wear I want emily to wear each night, but me? Not so much!

2/5/2009 4:08:44 AM
I'm freezing to death, but I'm going to be brave and go to tonight's Dark Odyssey Happy Hour. This week should be really busy as it's right before the big event (Winter Fire) -- next week will probably be quiet as a lot of people will be volunteering for event setup. Anyway, I'll be out tonight w/emily, so say hi if you see me.

2/2/2009 7:57:28 PM
In Manhattan for work, and I just had crazy-good sushi and gimlets with a friend. If only I didn't have to get up so early tomorrow, but that is what is paying for the trip, and the sushi. And speaking of crazy-good, the Super Bowl yesterday was a lot of fun, wasn't it?

1/31/2009 8:16:27 PM
I've received a few emails asking me about my Super Bowl pick for this year.  Honestly, I may watch the Puppy Bowl more than the game, as my heart is not in it this go around. On one hand, I'd like to see the Cards win as they are the long shot. On the other hand, if the Steelers win, a good friend of mine will make some bucks on a bet she made while in Vegas.  So....go puppies! (And I definitely will watch the kitten halftime show over Springsteen, as I just got to see The Boss two Sundays ago at the inauguration - he was great, but kittens are much more cute.)

1/31/2009 8:38:30 AM
Today's a quiet day. Doing some work at home and listening to old music that I've loved forever (Les Mystere des Voix Bulgares and This Mortal Coil.) I have a going away party to attend tonight, but it makes me very sad that my friends are moving so far away. I'm trying to stay cheery. maybe This Mortal Coil isn't the best musical choice, huh? lol

1/29/2009 4:41:48 AM
Unless I slip and kill myself on the ice, I will be at Dark Odyssey's Happy Hour tonight along w/emily. Time to get out of the house, right?

1/28/2009 5:43:58 AM
Wow, it is really icy out here today. I am going to work from home today -- much more civilized to do some writing by my fireplace vs. my office. I don't think I wrote anything about this weekend's TNG party, but it was wonderful. I played with emily (a medical scene and a wax scene) as well as spanking a very cute slave girl I know. The party was packed but there was still room to play or chat.  It looks like I have party plans for the next couple of weekends straight - leading right up to Dark Odyssey's Winter Fire event.  It's keeping me busy, if not out of trouble!

1/27/2009 9:57:50 PM
Unbelievable. In one day I manage to lose one earring and one of my damn yak traks that I use to keep from slipping on ice and snow. I was sick of the earrings (white gold but they were old and beat up), but I need the damn yak traks tomorrow, it's icy here! Ah well. Things come and go in your life, and when they go you have to replace them and this is the only thing that will save the economy, I guess.

1/24/2009 12:28:52 PM
I will be at DC TNG's party tonight, so be sure to say hi if you are there. And of course I will have emily w/me, so it is going to be a fun night!

1/22/2009 5:14:34 AM
I keep forgetting what day it is (in my mind it is Tuesday, not Thursday), but I am going out to Dark Odyssey's Happy Hour tonight to catch up with friends and swap inauguration stories. It should be a fun night, so come on out!

1/20/2009 4:11:10 PM
I am just home from the inauguration parade. I had a great day, but I am really exhausted -- I don't know how people are going to the various inaugural balls tonight. It was a wonderful day and I had an amazing view of the festivities. Days like this make me very glad to live in the DC area. Tomorrow is going to be horrific however -- back to work after a crazy, four day weekend.

1/19/2009 2:30:40 PM
I have been very busy with inauguration fun the past few days, so I am behind on emails and whatnot. I'll catch up with everyone later this week -- I have to get up crazy early tomorrow, so I'm going to bed in a couple of hours.

1/17/2009 7:00:38 AM
I'm over at the maid's enjoying breakfast and I just saw the news that the Bucs fired Gruden. BEST. WEEKEND. EVER.

1/15/2009 5:00:05 AM
No Happy Hour for me tonight -- travel day. See you all next week!

1/14/2009 6:03:28 PM
Travel day tomorrow, for a short hop into the bitter cold. I'm packing, listening to music (Sufjan Stevens and The Postal Service, amongst others), and writing friends. I'll be back in time for the craziness next week, although I fear I will be bringing the cold back with me. Sorry 'bout that.

1/13/2009 6:51:51 PM
I work in downtown DC, fairly near the White House, and things are really gearing up for the inauguration next week.  Streets are being blocked off, police cars are on the side streets, and parade bleachers are set up. Tourists are already showing up downtown, and every umbrella cart now has Obama souvenirs to hawk as well. It's kind of a pain in the butt right now, but come this weekend I'll be out there having fun just like the tourists. (One of the advantages of living near DC -- four day weekend next week!)

1/12/2009 5:41:07 PM
Don't even discuss football with me right now. I'm beyond caring; maybe I'll start caring next week or something. But right now? No.   I may go to DC TNG's happy hour tomorrow night, as I will be out of town on Thursday.  I need cheering up!

1/10/2009 8:01:37 AM
This will be a quiet weekend -- got the fireplace going and I'm getting ready for guests next weekend. Out to dinner with friends later on tonight, then brunch and football with the maid tomorrow.  I'm still finalizing my inauguration plans, but even if the weather is awful I will be out enjoying the big event.

1/7/2009 6:48:46 PM
I will be at Dark Odyssey's Happy Hour tomorrow night, rain or shine (although I'm really hoping for no ice or sleet, at least.)  I'm also registered for Dark Odyssey's Winter Fire which is taking place in February. I'm really looking forward to it and can't wait to cut loose in the dungeon. Hope to see some of you out tomorrow night!

1/7/2009 5:07:30 AM
Ugh, the weather is miserable, my espresso machine is broken, and I have budget meetings all day. Today is one of those "why do I have to do this?" sort of days, but I'll power through...or limp through, I guess. Ugh.

1/3/2009 8:49:28 PM
I cannot believe that the Colts were eliminated. I will probably weep myself to sleep tonight. Son of a bitch. Oh well -- if Tony Dungy does decide to retire, I wish him the very very best in his future.

1/3/2009 12:24:39 PM
Today is the worst day ever. My espresso/cappuccino machine broke! After four years of daily service, the steam wand snapped off - poof! It is a Saeco stainless steel pump driven machine, so I'll have to send it out for repair. I'm practically comatose without my daily cortado and cappuccino. Why is everything that I own breaking? Arrrgh!

1/2/2009 10:30:53 AM
Today I am being a lazy girl and just relaxing around the house. It's wonderful -- I'm building a fire in the fireplace and if I really get ambitious I'm going to give myself a pedicure.  I had a lot of fun on New Year's Eve, and I got to play with a toy I've wanted to experiment with for a while -- stun guns!  I tortured a friend with them for a while and enjoyed it; they are definitely next on my "to buy" list.  My maid also took good care of me (no, she wasn't the stun gun victim) and we had lots of cuddle time on New Year's Day. I hope everyone is off to a good start for the year and that we all have a happy 2009.

12/30/2008 5:20:10 AM
I'm excited because I get to see emily tonight (it's been a long 8 days), and it's almost time for New Year's Eve. I'm going to party out 2008 and wish everyone a better 2009.

12/28/2008 7:36:54 PM
All I have to say about football today is this: congratulations to the Lions on their "perfect" season. It's no 0-26, but what can I say, I'm old school. Speaking of 0-26, it's time for Gruden to go. Seriously.

12/28/2008 4:39:57 AM
On the way home today -- hope everyone had a great holiday.

12/23/2008 4:36:56 AM
Unbelieveable -- I have another sinus infection. Must be all the flying around. I am still having a great time, though, and the weather is incredible.

12/20/2008 4:25:51 AM
Travel day; I'm on the way home. Best wishes for a happy holiday (whatever you celebrate) and a peaceful new year.

12/18/2008 4:54:44 AM
It's Thursday, so I'll be at Dark Odyssey's Happy Hour tonight. After tomorrow I head home for the holidays, where I plan to decorate a palm tree for Christmas. As far as Christmas gifts, I'm going to go small this year -- something latex for emily and some other silly gifts. I'm hoping for a couple of vibrators (hey, they wear out!), a knock box (it's a coffee accessory for my espresso machine), "The Wire" boxed set (from my family), and - courtesy of myself being an idiot and having my Shuffle swiped at work -- I guess I will get myself a new iPod. Sigh.

12/16/2008 4:52:49 AM
There must have been a full moon recently as I am getting a lot of weird mail. Unsolicited short stories (poorly written and confusing as hell), offers to travel to Egypt, and someone who sent me a "four eyes! four eyes!" taunt ala grade school.  I maintain a sense of humor, but these are the times when I think "what am I doing here?"

12/14/2008 10:11:11 AM
It didn't hit me until yesterday, but I am really excited about going home next weekend for the holidays.  I can't wait to see my family again, as it has been over a year since I have been home.  On the "not excited" front, so far the Redskins/Bengals game is looking like a disaster for the Redskins. I really should stop watching football so much - maybe switch to hockey?

12/13/2008 8:28:41 AM
Today is going to be fun, because I am house sitting for some friends. I get to walk their dogs and take care of them (they have great pooches), and then I get to abuse the maid in the play space they have built into their house -- which is why they knew I would house sit for them!  I should be doing some holiday shopping, but I think I may just use Amazon so I can stay in and relax.

12/10/2008 5:30:39 PM
I sound like a frog (sexy, huh?) but that's not going to stop me from going to Dark Odyssey's happy hour tomorrow night at Dupont Italian Kitchen. Come on out and meet the DC kink community -- just don't tax my voice, or what's left of it.

12/8/2008 11:06:45 AM
Home sick. Bored with being sick. Looking forward to the Bucs game on MNF tonight. My throat still hurts, and it is freezing cold outside. It's Monday. Blah. (Edited to add: Oh sweet Christ, the Bucs are playing in 30 degree weather? This is probably not going to be a good game -- history shows that the Bucs do not play well in the cold.)

(Edited to add: did you just see that 50 yard TD pass? I love being wrong if it's something like that! Garcia, you magnificent old guy, you!)

12/7/2008 4:48:01 PM
(Oooh, a rare double post in a day!) Like everyone else in this town, I am looking for Inaugural Ball tickets. Good ones, so no Texas! (hahaha - hey, you all had your years on top.) I've got the cash and the dress (yes, a proper formal dress and not something pvc or latex), but I just need the tickets. I'm sure there's someone who has admired my profile or laughed at my happy hour jokes who can help me with this.

12/7/2008 1:22:16 PM
I stopped watching the Giants/Eagles game as it was just too painful to watch. So much for wrapping up the division, huh? I'm taking it easy today and relaxing before emily comes over.  I'm very bummed I missed a party in Baltimore yesterday, but I would have been useless there, so it's for the best.

12/6/2008 11:39:47 AM
My cold is better; thanks everyone who has asked or sent good wishes. At this rate I will probably be in good shape to go to work on Monday...wait, what? I want my money back on this crappy weekend! lol Oh well.

12/5/2008 2:15:53 PM
Ah hell. Guess who caught a cold right before the start of the weekend? I guess that will keep me from burning the candle at both ends and will make me stay home and rest. It's still annoying, but I have some of those shower eucalyptus tablets to steam my sinuses and throat -- that's about as freaky as my weekend will be getting, I fear.

12/4/2008 3:06:25 AM
I will be at Dark Odyssey's Happy Hour tonight, and I'm bringing goodies from my recent travels, yay! And speaking of my travels, I completely forgot to say 'thank you' to my tour guide during my recent trip --so, thank you!

12/2/2008 5:12:34 PM
Oh thank God, I'm home.  I'm really shot. It's frustrating, because part of me really wants to play and play hard, but the bigger part of me wants to take a huge nap. Maybe if someone was here I could lean up and slap their face or something -- that's about all I have going on, energy-wise.

12/2/2008 3:05:14 AM
I am so ready to go home it isn't even funny. I'm in a cute B&B and having a good time with coworkers, but I am really wiped out and tired (although I think my jet lag is almost over.) The minute I get home I am registering for Dark Odyssey's Winter Fire party/convention, so that is something to look forward to  -- that and abusing little emily this Thursday night!

11/30/2008 9:51:18 AM
I'm so glad I get to see the Bucs play before I fly off again today. I know it's a small view of the world, but to me "football" is the NFL, not soccer, not Aussie football. So - go Bucs, go Colts...and I'm going to have to cheer for the Redskins today, although that's probably a lost cause against the Giants (the Giants are the sissy's fave team, and I do normally like them.) Rest in Peace # 21 Sean Taylor -- it is hard to believe it has been a year that he has been gone already; I hope the Skins win for his family. If you see a chick drinking at an airport bar and focused solely on the television/football, that would be me.

11/29/2008 2:14:16 PM
I'm home again, huzzah! Shame I'm here for less than 24 hours, but I am glad to be home in my bed at least for a night. I had a wonderful time sightseeing and working, but I missed my home.  I've got to do laundry and stuff tonight and the maid is still out of town for the holiday weekend, but I don't think I'll beat her for that transgression, ha!

11/24/2008 10:17:15 AM
I am freezing! I know I write about being cold a lot, but damn is it cold here. And I know when I get home it will be cold, and my next trip is to a cold place. Why won't my work send me to Tahiti or something like that? I swear I'm thinking of my latex wear at home, but just because it keeps me warm!

11/23/2008 4:17:46 PM
From the "Where in the World is LaMistressa?" files: made my travels safe and sound, and now I am drinking hot tea and trying to cobble together a phrasebook for my stay. I am a little sad that I am missing Thanksgiving at home, but I'll just remind myself that I have much to be thankful for while I am away -- good friends and a great community and plenty of fun. But I don't think I can get pumpkin pie and cranberry sauce here, booo!

11/22/2008 4:42:51 AM
Okay, I'm on the road again so I won't be around much. I might check in from my travels, but who knows?  Hope everyone has a good week and a Happy Thanksgiving.

11/20/2008 3:59:30 AM
I won't get there until after 7 (because of work) and I have to leave by 9 (because of work), but for one brief shining moment (okay, two hours) I will be at Dark Odyssey's Happy Hour tonight at Dupont Italian Kitchen. Come on out and beat the cold with a warm drink!

11/17/2008 5:26:19 PM
Just an FYI:  I rarely answer one-line emails, and I never answer one-line emails that ask me to chat.  A one-line email is (in my opinion) lazy and uninteresting, and it puts the burden on me to try and find out something interesting about the sender, and if the sender doesn't make an effort, why should I?

11/16/2008 5:46:45 PM
This weekend simply got away from me. I got a huge amount of work done, but I still have a ton to do. I'm going out of town for work next weekend, and I am completely not ready. I even skipped a play party this weekend -- this is a pretty rare occurrence. My maid helped me tremendously today in decluttering a storage unit and moving stuff into a smaller one. You've gotta love a sissy who can actually work hard!

11/12/2008 7:41:24 PM
So -- tomorrow, Dark Odyssey Happy Hour. I'll be there, so that and $1.65 will get you on the Metro, right?

11/11/2008 6:33:34 PM
I'm watching "Frontline" and they are showing a documentary about Lee Atwater, and it is tough for me to watch, honestly. I loathed that man when he was alive and found it highly fitting that he died of brain cancer as he had so much poison and bile in his mind. However, he was a personality and he liked pro wrestling and was a musician. Still, I hope with Rove gone and a new administration coming that the days of Atwater tactics are over. For now.  (Edited to add: wow - the pictures of a young GWB in this thing are amazing! He looks so much like Will Ferrell it is not even funny!)

11/10/2008 7:33:40 PM
Wow, it is freaking cold out tonight! I've got my fireplace cranking and I'm pouring some Maker's Mark to warm I don't have work tomorrow so I figure I can stay up late and treat myself.  I had a wonderful weekend between friends and brunch and then needle play with the maid. She was a real trouper!

11/8/2008 1:31:20 PM
I'm usually not too bitchy here (okay, maybe a little), but right now I am trying not to laugh at a profile of a local "Domme" where it is clear that all four of her profile photos are pictures ganked from a Japanese photobook (you can even see the photo credit line on the blurry pics!) In my mind there's a large guy named Phil in his mom's basement behind this profile.

11/6/2008 5:00:47 AM
Wow, so it took me a day to recover from the election party, but it was so worth it! People dancing in the streets, hugging and shouting -- it was pandemonium, in the best sort of way.  I will be at Dark Odyssey's Happy Hour tonight, but I don't know how late I will stay as it's been a long week and I am quite tired.

11/4/2008 12:55:19 AM
I'm up stupid early so I can get in the lines early to vote today.  As with all presidential elections, I'm excited but nervous. I may be too exhausted at the end of the day, but I'm going to try to go to the DC TNG "Spank the Vote" happy hour at Union Pub. But no promises -- it's not often that I am up this early in the morning, and I may just head for home and bed after such a long day!

10/31/2008 8:32:07 PM
Tomorrow is my favorite party of the year, but I am not ready! My costume is not coming together as easily as I had hoped it would, but I'll finish it tomorrow. I've got friends coming in from out of town and I can't wait to see everyone and have a lot of fun. And I've got at least three impact scenes set and then some fun with the maid - I am going to be one busy, happy woman tomorrow night. Happy Halloween!

10/30/2008 4:12:54 AM
I've got a big work meeting today, so I'm up early (early for me, that is.) I'm going to tough it out today and then I will be at Dark Odyssey's happy hour tonight, at least for a little bit. I have to catch up with all my friends before the big weekend!

10/29/2008 7:02:47 PM
Yeah, whatever. Baseball sucks. I'm going to figure out how to do a torture scene with some Tastykakes, and then I will exact my terrible revenge. Go burn your couches, you lousy Phillies fans -- at least I know at the end of the day, I don't have to live in Philly.

10/27/2008 7:08:57 PM
You know what? I don't like baseball. Give me football any day. Stupid World Series.  On the positive side, I'm really looking forward to the Halloween party I'm going to this weekend -- I'll take my singletail and work out my frustrations over this stupid series.  (Edited to add: tied and now a rain delay! Okay, it's not quite too horrible now.)

10/24/2008 8:21:31 PM
I've written before about how much I like "Frontline" on PBS, and viewing "The Choice" is reminding me why I like it so. If you are at all involved in this election cycle, it is an excellent show.

10/19/2008 9:05:43 PM
Congratulations to the Tampa Bay Rays on making the World Series! "Worst to first" seems to be the motto for all of Tampa's teams. Unfortunately the maid is a Phillies fan, so this could get interesting.

10/18/2008 10:02:30 AM
Sorry I haven't been updating much, but I have been very busy with work and friends. It's all good stuff, but it is keeping me on the go all the time. I'm working on my Halloween costume this weekend, and then next weekend helping a good friend construct a haunted house -- I love Halloween; it brings out the kid in me.  Speaking of Halloween, I will be at BR's big event, but only on the Sunday and only to go shopping in the vending area. This is always the best fetish shopping opportunity of the year, so I can't wait.

10/11/2008 8:29:25 AM
Happy one year anniversary, DC TNG! I am looking forward to attending their big birthday bash tonight -- and I'll be showing off a hot new latex outfit. Thank goodness for milder fall weather!

10/8/2008 5:41:25 PM
I know I shouldn't do it (because I get all worked up), but I am following the election like a mad fiend these days. And here is something that constantly surprises me -- who on earth is still undecided at this point? I honestly think that some of the "undecided"s just want to get on television or something. If you can't find a compelling reason to vote for one candidate or the other at this point, maybe you should just sit the election out and take a nap. And for those saying "I am not getting enough specific information from the candidates," step away from your television and do some reading and research already! (See what I mean about getting worked up?) Okay, I'll calm down now.

10/5/2008 4:23:13 PM
I went to the most wonderful party last night: the men served the women a four course dinner, and then we hit the host's elaborate dungeon to play. I got to put the maid in a vacuum bed, which was a ton of fun and something she had been dying to try. I also gave a flogging workshop to a friend. This morning followed with brunch and then football and cuddle time with emily. The only bad thing about this weekend is that it is ending!

10/2/2008 5:21:32 PM
Is it possible to die from jet lag? If so, at least I'll kick in a pretty place.

9/30/2008 9:04:05 PM
I'm out of town for a few days, so no Happy Hour for me this week.  Well, I'm traveling provided I can get my crap together and actually pack tonight. If you see someone running through the airport tomorrow morning with her rolling back spilling junk behind her....that would be me!

9/29/2008 5:32:22 PM
Wow, how about that stock market, huh? At this rate I will never be able to retire and I'm thinking of moving my money to a mayonnaise jar under the bed.  I was thinking of buying a really elaborate fetish outfit for Halloween, but at this point maybe I'll just recycle an old costume or put something together based on pieces I already have. And this is why the economy is in the toilet -- because I'm not buying a new corset, hah!

9/28/2008 10:10:31 AM
Oh hells yeah! Bucs vs. Packers on Fox, then Skins vs. Cowboys! You know that I am totally Mistress of the couch and the tv remote today. If you are for Green Bay or Dallas, I don't want to hear about it.

9/28/2008 7:10:44 AM
This weekend's weather is miserable, but I'm still having a good time. I went with friends to see "Burn After Reading" last night and I really loved it. I think it is more humorous if you live in the DC area, and so the audience I saw it with was laughing a lot. I also got a call from an old college friend -- he was the person who gave me the nickname that became my scene name.  It was amazing hearing from him and catching up. Today will be spent with football (of course) and a couple of beers or cappuccinos.  I have travel this week and then a fetish party next weekend, so being low key on a rainy day is not a bad thing at all.

9/22/2008 11:37:48 PM
Is there a full moon or something? I have been getting some really weird mail this week!

9/21/2008 10:52:19 AM
I had to bring work home this weekend, so I'm watching the Redskins while I work. I do plan to get out for a bit in the incredible weather, but I've just got too much reading to do today.  Had emily and friends over for a movie-watching party last night, which was very fun.  On a less fun note -- I used my block feature on yet another person today. If I actually give someone my phone number, I don't expect them to overuse it, and if I say I'm not interested in meeting - guess what? I'm not interested in meeting.  I am one of those people who responds to being pushed or pressured by a very hard shove back.  So, lesson learned.

9/17/2008 5:34:55 PM
I will be at the Dark Odyssey Happy Hour tomorrow night (Thursday), although I have to get up stupid early Friday so I won't be out too late. I look forward to hearing everyone's stories about camp tomorrow night.

9/15/2008 9:37:32 PM
Arrrgh, that game killed me. Stupid Cowboys. At least it was exciting and high scoring. But still...Cowboys. Ugh.

9/15/2008 5:53:39 PM
I suppose I should put a mention in here - the person I was dating briefly did not work out, unfortunately. He was simply too busy getting ready for a major move, and I'm not the kind of person you can push to the back burner. A bit of dating advice: if it will piss off a girl in the vanilla world it will do the same in the kink world. Ah, well. I still haven't changed the status of my profile or my profile information because I just don't feel like it yet - it's flattering to get a lot of email but there are times when it is too much to handle. In the meantime, the maid has been taking VIP care of me, so I have been in good hands.

9/15/2008 5:20:55 PM
So football this weekend was good overall, although I'm worried about the Buc's injuries, and the first half of the Redskin's game was ugly. Tonight I've got a ton of reading to do for work, but I'll put MNF on to keep me entertained. Tonight is one of those rare nights where I want the Eagles to win, if only to shut up TO. You can't blame me for that, can you?

9/13/2008 10:18:31 PM
I have never been so tired from just shopping before. A good day was had overall, but damn am I tired. I did get one amazing bargain today (a Catherine Coatney skirt in tulle -$30 marked down from $100!), but then I got a  braided flogger by Montague (a little pricey, but hard to find these days) and a set of padded suspension cuffs (considering the quality, these were a bargain.) I didn't break my budget, but then again I set my budget for this event pretty high, hahaha. Now I just need to get to sleep and then think of a situation where I can use all my new goodies at once.

9/13/2008 7:42:46 AM
As soon as I can get myself cleaned up and out the door, I am on the way to the Leather Flea Market at the Crucible. I'll report back if I get any fetish wear goodies or score some bargains, yay!

9/12/2008 6:22:41 PM
Oh good lord. What a difference a year makes. I am watching my college's football team getting their ass kicked all over the place. I may actually start cleaning and doing chores vs. watching this abomination. Have I become a football jinx or something? Maybe I'll go to a Caps game or something -- oh, never mind, Bulls just scored so its not a total wipe out!    Edited to add: this game is actually getting pretty good!

9/11/2008 4:34:23 AM
I will not be going to Dark Odyssey's Happy Hour tonight, as most everyone is at camp and it will be pretty dead. Spending time with the maid instead. However, I will be at the Leather Fleamarket this weekend (but not at the play party.) Time for some shopping and I hope I find a few fetish bargains!

9/8/2008 11:14:44 PM
Arrrgh, I missed MNF tonight (last night - whatever.) I think I'm still scarred from watching the Colts/Bears game on Sunday. What the hell happened to the Colts? That was an embarrassing and depressing game - seriously, I kept switching the channel to a disturbing documentary on pageant moms, and I couldn't decide which one I hated more. Couldn't find the Bucs game on local tv (still looking for a local bar that hosts Bucs fans), but it seems like that is just as well since they lost to the Saints. Not a good start to my favorite season.

9/8/2008 11:00:47 PM
I have no idea why, but I woke up and can't get back to sleep. This is going to suck tomorrow at work, I'm sure! Since I'm not going to Dark Odyssey Camp this weekend (unfortunately), I'm thinking of going to the Leather Fleamarket instead; anyone else going there?

9/6/2008 12:14:40 PM
It is so hard to get motivated when you are stuck at home with a tropical storm dumping gallons of rain all around you. But I have a birthday party to attend tonight w/the maid, and then we're helping some friends organize their new play space on Sunday, so I have to get my butt moving and get ready for all the action. But all this rain makes me sleepy!

9/3/2008 4:50:00 PM
Unless there is some sort of hurricane or something, I *will* be at Dark Odyssey's Happy Hour tomorrow night w/emily. I haven't been the last couple of weeks and I've missed catching up with my friends.  Hope to see some of you there!

9/1/2008 7:10:10 PM
Went to a lovely play party this weekend at a friend's place, and then a really nice brunch with friends today. I don't know how it is possible for a person to become exhausted from brunch, but somehow I have managed to do so.  One of the other highlights of the weekend was seeing a friend's impressive latex and toy collection -- I just wish the weather would turn a bit cooler so that I can enjoy playing with latex more.

8/29/2008 11:11:26 PM
So I slept a lot today as I felt like I was coming down with a cold, and now I feel better but I can't sleep! Since I'm not going camping I'm now going to a big play party, so I need to get some rest, dammit. It doesn't help that I had a big espresso with dinner - I swear I get an F in lifeskills sometimes.

8/28/2008 8:52:07 PM
It's official: I have a mild cold. I'm not going camping. I am drinking hot tea with Maker's Mark. I did enjoy Barak Obama's speech. This is about as exciting as it gets in my neck of the woods!

8/28/2008 5:18:08 AM
I am probably going to Dark Odyssey's Happy Hour tonight, but if the weather is horrible (or I can't get my camping errands completed in time) I may have to skip tonight. Too much to do! Edited to Add: Nope, not going out tonight, as it seems I am catching a cold. This camping trip is officially doomed!

8/27/2008 4:08:48 AM
I'm going camping this weekend. Normally this would be a fun trip, but now the weather reports are calling for 85% chance of thundershowers every single day of the trip, so I am probably going to get soaked. Emily can't go with me because of a home emergency, so now I'm thinking maybe I should pack my flask with Maker's Mark and just plan to sulk in my tent! Or better yet - camp in my living room with a bunch of movies.  It should be fun anyway, but the rain forecast has me worried.

8/25/2008 5:29:50 PM
"Okay, so why the radical switch of profiles in less than seven days?" you may be thinking (or you may be wondering when I'm going to start posting about football again.) Well, it goes like this: I met someone from here and liked him a lot. He seemed too good to be true: handsome, submissive, polite, funny - okay with the maid, okay with me being bi, etc. etc. And after thinking "wow, I really like this person and he could fit into my life" I found out he is moving away from the area for a while, and I was pretty bummed.  At first I thought "fuck it, I'll start dating again" but the truth is I don't want to go out with anyone else, although the mail I got was both flattering (and a bit overwhelming.) I like him, he's not going away quite yet (and he's not going forever), and I may be foolish but I want to see where this goes with him. Besides, I have emily with me so it's not like I'll die of loneliness, hahahaha. And if it doesn't work, then I will dust myself off and try again, or go get 1,000 cats and a comfy sweater. So yeah -- I'm back to friends only again. And now -- Monday Night Football! I kind of hate the Seahawks because 1.) they knocked out the 'Skins last year, 2.) Seattle's sense of superiority about coffee and hipster culture, when really they just need more sunlight and less patchouli and hemp. Do these make sense? No, but very little about my interest in football makes sense, so there.

8/24/2008 6:02:51 AM
Today the world's laziest woman is going to brunch with her maid, and then maybe toodling around Eastern Market. Hope the weather stays nice! I got my hair cut and colored yesterday and so I'm having the mother of all good hair days. All is right in my world if I can have a mimosa and then swish my hair around like in an advertisement, hahahaha.

8/21/2008 11:19:16 PM
Okay, got my picture reloaded - that only took, what, a week? Sometimes my technological skills are somewhat lacking. Speaking of lacking, this week has been nothing but work, so I am looking forward to doing a big bunch of nothing this weekend. Other than a foot rub or brunch, I plan to be the most boring woman in town this weekend.

8/19/2008 3:24:31 AM
Okay....I thought I was changing my photos? I guess I accidentally sent in my old one and it got reapproved? Ugh - that's kind of how my whole week is going. I have a big project I'm working on where I have to be up early each morning (and I am not a morning person), so this isn't the most fun week ever. But I look forward to burning some of my vacation time once I get through this week and just relaxing and treating myself to some spa treatments. Anyway, I've re-resubmitted the picture I was thinking of using, so let's see if I did it correctly this time.

8/17/2008 5:49:23 AM
Before anyone writes me about it, don't panic - I am updating the photos on my profile, so that's why they are down right now. As nice as my old profile pic was/is, it is alsmost two years old so I thought I would go with something recent, and more blonde (and old, ha.)  Watched a bit of the Redskins game last night, then went to a friend's birthday party. Nothing too exciting, but it was good to hang out with friends. It was funny in that is was an "evil twin" party, so I went without wearing fetish wear and looking very plain.  It was hard, and I didn't enjoy it, but it was funny. Today is work junk and then getting ready for the work week.

8/16/2008 2:36:19 AM
5:30 in the morning is waaay too early in the morning for me! I don't know how people do it. My maid's going on vacation for a week, but this will be a super busy week workwise so I'll stay focused. I'm invited to a "come as your evil twin" party tonight so I may go in pearls and a girly outfit and be nice to everyone, just to freak them out. Meh - maybe I'll take a singletail just in case.  Okay, friend is out the door to the airport so it's back to sleep for me!

8/15/2008 9:39:10 PM
So tonight, there's an impromptu slumber party at my place. My friend's grandmother died, and she had to fly out to the west coast to deal with the funeral arrangements and see family, and her husband is flying out sick early tomorrow from Dulles, and my place is the closest to the airport. So my place is the crash pad for the night (I'm sleeping on the couch - ugh, but I insist on being a good hostess), but I'll get up early to make cappuccino and toast to wish him well on his flight, and we've had a fun evening talking and having cocktails. So what is the point of this post? I guess it would be that even in the dark, sad hours of your life there are people to help you along the way and prop your sad tired ass up. I know that T and M did that for me last year when I lost both of my parents, and I am very grateful to return the favor in my small way. Remember, it's August, so my thoughts aren't very deep this month. Be good to your friends, the end.

8/14/2008 3:08:18 AM
I will be at Dark Odyssey's Happy Hour tonight, along with my maid. I'm looking forward to catching up with friends - this summer has simply been too busy, hasn't it?

8/12/2008 4:13:23 AM
It's only Tuesday and I wish the week was over already. It really should be illegal to have to work in August. Blah.

8/8/2008 6:18:36 PM
As my regular readers know, I love sports. However after struggling for weeks with the decision (not joking here), I have decided not to watch the Olympics; Tibet, the Dalai Lama, and Darfur win over Michael Phelps and his hot swimmer's body and rocking Fu Manchu 'stache. So...I'm watching the Puppy Games on Animal Planet as a protest, and I'm drinking white wine to keep me from thinking of hot swimmer action. GO PUPPIES! (Edited to Add: man, those goldfish judges are bitches! Plus, I am hammered on white wine, which is making this all more entertaining.)

8/4/2008 8:06:13 PM
There are days when I realize that I am very lucky and very happy, and today has been one of those days. I thought maybe I had something deeper to say than that, but you know what? I don't! Still, this is pretty damn deep for August, so I'm patting myself on the back and drinking a beer to celebrate my deep thoughts.

8/3/2008 10:53:19 AM
I'm back from travel - totally wiped out, but back. I'll answer emails within the next day or two, but it will take some time to catch up on the mail I recieved while I was away. This weekend is gorgeous weather here, and I am going to run out and enjoy it today.

7/22/2008 4:31:06 AM
(Edited to add: correction, I'm out of town for 10 days. I can't add!) Okay, I'm out of town for a week, so no updates for me. Got the maid coming over tonight to help me pack and try to organize her poor Mistress. Hope that everyone has a good summer -- I definitely have had a good week, but more about that when I get back (omgwtfbbq, I'm such a journal tease! lol)

7/20/2008 9:28:37 AM
I tried to fight it as long as I could, but today I finally watched "Dr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog", and it is hilarious. Today is the last day you can watch it for free, so do it people. Neil Patrick Harris is the funniest guy ever - and he can sing!

7/19/2008 10:58:59 AM
It's crazy hot out today, so I'm relaxing and watching a few dvds, cooking, enjoying a beer or two. I've got a lot of travel coming up in the next couple of weeks, so I'm definitely taking it easy.  I love summer....provided I have movies and access to air conditioning!

7/17/2008 12:32:03 AM
I won't be at Happy Hour tonight because I've got some hot skeeball action planned with a group of friends. I love you all dearly, but skeeball trumps kink in my world. If I could find a dungeon with a skeeball game in it, I don't think I would ever leave.

7/14/2008 10:17:19 PM
Haven't written a non-vanilla post in a while, have I? I'll just say that I bought a new latex top the other day, and it is the sexiest thing ever (and surprisingly, it's comfortable!) It's been a while since I bought any new latex, but this one was calling out to me. It's black and it zips down the front so I can make it either a high neck and very form fitting or a plunge neckline with a pointed collar. Very cute with my black latex hobble skirt. And best of all - it makes me look like I have bigger boobs, hah!

7/5/2008 7:11:32 PM
Had a great day out on the water today, tubing with friends. Only problem is I forgot to put sunscreen on my knees, so now I have sunburned kneecaps, hahahaha. It's pretty silly looking. Anyway, it was a really beautiful day out, and perfect weather for having fun in the water. I'm going to pass out now as I've got to rest up for a big cookout tomorrow -- and I've got to put some aloe on my knees!

7/4/2008 1:03:56 PM
I hope that everyone in the US has a safe and happy Fourth of July - and yes, you know I will be downtown to see the fireworks. I love fireworks! As for the rest of the weekend, I've got tubing, grilling, and hanging out on the agenda.

7/3/2008 5:26:00 AM
I will be going to Dark Odyssey's Happy Hour tonight, although I probably won't stay too late. Of course, those are famous last words, aren't they?

6/29/2008 3:57:16 PM
I've had a lovely weekend but I wish it was a three-day one. I am incredibly tired (and the heat isn't helping.)  But I'm taking some additional time off for the July 4th weekend, so that will make up for it. Fetishwise, I have to say...this weather brings me down. There's a latex top that I'm dying to get, but the idea of wearing latex in 90 degree weather makes me want to take a nap.

6/27/2008 4:47:27 AM
All right people -- this is a great weekend to be in the DC area, funwise. There is the Crafty Bastards sale in Silver Spring on Saturday, there's the Smithsonian Folklife Festival on the Mall, and there's a ton of great shows and plays in the area. If you're not having fun this weekend, its your own damn fault. As for me, I'm going to be chilling with the maid and a cocktail (one of my summer faves: chilled limoncello with some soda and fresh mint.) I'm going to the Nats game tonight, but I'll make no predictions as the Nats are truly terrible right now. At least the food will be good!

6/26/2008 5:58:25 PM
My cute little sissy maid is back in town, and I am very happy about that. Still super busy at work, but I have a lot of fun plans for this weekend, and some really great travel coming up soon. But for tonight I'm being a lazy girl and just watching "Dexter" on dvd.

6/24/2008 5:47:51 AM
I'm home, and I'm tired! Sometimes I think the short trips wear you out more than travel to far away places. All I know is I'm tired and my apartment is a wreck! Still, I'm glad to be home, although I did like the swanky bed with a million pillows at my hotel, hah.

6/21/2008 11:47:51 PM
I'm going out of town for a couple of days, so no updates for a few. Have a good rest of your weekend!

6/20/2008 8:14:10 PM
I'm drinking beer (Sam Adams Summer Ale) and I'm watching "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" and I'm doing laundry, and I'm really, really happy. Don't know why, I just am. Hope you are too.

6/19/2008 5:00:36 AM
I will be at Dark Odyssey's happy hour tonight, at least for a little while. I have a big work weekend coming up, so I can't exactly stay out and howl at the moon tonight, much as I'd like to.

6/18/2008 4:52:11 PM
I have to say, I have gotten some great advice on the sofa table dilemma, but so far the response of the week was "it's your decision, but,  i would highly recommend a board certified surgeon to shorten your legs."  I really laughed at that one! I have to say, for all the "oh great Mistress I am but a worthless worm" emails that I get, my favorite emails are usually funny or related to sports. We're all humans here (well, most are), and a sense of humor is very attractive. But what do I know, I'm the woman who bought a too-tall table!

6/16/2008 6:33:13 PM
Oh hell. I bought a console/sofa table, to put behind my sofa (obviously.) And I really like it...but it's about two inches taller than my sofa! I thought I had measured it correctly. Ah well -- so now I need a handyman to shorten the legs.

6/16/2008 4:58:20 AM
I went to a very fun dungeon party this Saturday. Got to play with a violet wand with two cute girls, and then used my singletail on one of them. And there were cupcakes, so I don't know how a party could get any better. Now I'm trying to build up the energy to go to work - this week is going to be tough!

6/15/2008 7:59:56 AM
Today is not the easiest day for me, because it is my first Father's Day without my dad. I'm also watching the "Meet the Press" tribute to Tim Russert (I can't imagine this year's election without him -- and the only reason for eating at Guapo's is now gone.) But I will call my brother today and tell him what a great job he has done as a dad, so that's something to keep me happy. For those of who are fathers, who have your father, or who hope someday to be a father, I wish you a Happy Father's Day.

6/14/2008 12:32:16 PM
Non-scene stuff: went to Artomatic yet again last night. I stayed way too late, but had a great time. This is the last weekend, so definitely go if you have the chance.

6/12/2008 4:44:55 AM
Work is making me its bitch this week, so no Happy Hour for me tonight. But it is worth going to, even if I'm not there. I do have some fun plans this weekend so I am looking forward to breaking out the singletail and having fun on Saturday night.

6/10/2008 9:55:52 PM
Thanks everyone who came out to my class. I had a wonderful time teaching it, and I hope it was useful. I think the highlight for me was when my drink slipped off of the "table" and down my model's buttcrack! lol Okay, time for bed for this tired Domme. Thanks again!

6/9/2008 5:15:48 AM
Just a reminder -- I am teaching a class on Objectification this Tuesday at Black Rose. This is my first presentation of this material, and I'm looking forward to it.

6/8/2008 12:08:37 PM
I've taken my pictures down for the time being as I am being harassed by someone. Sorry about this -- I am pretty upset right now. Hopefully I will feel comfortable enough to put them up again.

6/8/2008 6:36:27 AM
I'm posting this at a friend's because my internet is STILL down at home! Stupid tornados and storms. Anyway - my class is still on for BR this Tuesday - objectification, come on down! On the plus side, I am getting so much work done w/out the internet. Sigh.

6/4/2008 4:39:47 AM
I'm very very very very tired of all the rain! Let's have some good weather already. Not to mention I have crazy curly/frizzy hair on days like this, and I am a bit of a nut when it comes to my hair being nice. If I can't control it, I get annoyed (sounds like a metaphor for my life, right?)

6/3/2008 3:54:25 AM
I know its highly unrealistic, but I hope the Penguins pull off a miracle for the Stanley Cup.

6/2/2008 9:54:36 PM
I've got work travel tomorrow so I will not be at DC TNG's happy hour, but I hope everyone there will remember about my class next week (June 10th) at Black Rose. "The Object of My Desire: Objectification 101" - I have some fun demonstrations planned for it, so I hope everyone will come out to participate.

6/1/2008 6:51:46 AM
Yesterday morning I was at the Metro early (ugh), and I saw a father and his son headed to the Nats game. They were wearing Mets jerseys, and they were carrying their lunches packed in plastic bags, and they looked so happy just chatting about baseball. I also saw an older gentleman in a summer suit and tie, carrying a lunch, an umbrella, and his Nats hat. I can't describe why, but it made me very happy to watch them on their way to the ballpark. I just wish I liked baseball more so I could experience a moment like that, but every time I go to the park, the game is abysmal and I want to poke my eyes out with a stick from boredom. In short: is it football season yet?

5/30/2008 2:10:43 AM
Hahahaha, this is really waaay too early in the morning to be up for work! I do not know how you morning people do it - I respect you, but I don't understand you at all. Better you than me!

5/28/2008 3:22:45 AM
This is my busy time at work, so I won't be around a lot. Will not be at Happy Hour this week - hopefully you'll all manage to have fun without me.

5/26/2008 6:52:07 AM
I am enjoying the three day weekend, but I wish it was a four or five day weekend. I could definitely use a vacation! Today I'm going to do a bit of wax play today with a friend -- practice for an upcoming play party.  Beyond that, the weather is beautiful and I am enjoying myself.

5/23/2008 4:40:38 AM
This weekend I'm going to Artomatic, and then I'm having dinner w/a friend of mine, and then possibly a wax play date with a nice girl I know. Other than that, I'm relaxing and enjoying the three day weekend. Hope you do too!

5/21/2008 9:25:40 PM
I'm exhausted, but I have to say that X at the 9:30 Club tonight was really amazing. I'm so glad I went!

5/21/2008 4:00:38 AM
I'm going to the 9:30 Club for a show tonight - the way this week is going, I am grateful for the three day weekend so I can just sleep!

5/20/2008 4:44:23 AM
I've got a work event near Captiol South tonight, so I am going to stop by the DC TNG Happy Hour at 201 Lounge tonight. If you haven't been it's a lot of fun there, with a good mix of people. I should be there around 7:30 or 8 pm. See you there!

5/17/2008 9:33:05 PM
So I went out today and got my hair highlighted. I am blonde again! I'm not sure if I like the front of it, but overall it looks good. I'll post some pictures tomorrow maybe. I spent most of the day with friends at Artomatic, so I am really exhausted. Time for bed!

5/16/2008 7:56:29 PM
So, I'm watching "The Darjeeling Limited", and I hate to say it but I really think Wes Anderson hit his peak with "The Royal Tenanbaums." I love him, but this is very....familiar. Although - damn, do I love Natalie Portman w/short hair! I also watched "Hitman" tonight (shut up, I loved the video game), and I just don't know why Timothy Oliphant isn't a bigger star. Between this and "Deadwood" I just love him to pieces.

5/15/2008 5:05:49 AM
I'll be at Dark Odyssey's Happy Hour tonight, yay! It's been a long week at work, so I am looking forward to chatting and hanging out with good friends.

5/14/2008 1:59:32 AM
OMG, this is day three of having insomnia, and it is making me nuts! I went to bed at 11, only to have my eyes fly open four hours later.  But now I am yawning again, so maybe I can make it back to sleep. Blah!

5/11/2008 8:28:10 PM
Some time ago I had as part of my profile that I was looking for the "beautiful and the useful." As I have largely found the beautiful for my life, some useful things would still be, well, useful. I'm starting back at the gym, so a personal trainer or someone with that background would be very helpful, as would a handyman to do some small repairs around my apartment. There are other things, but those are the two that pop to mind. Maybe a court jester would be fun as well.

5/11/2008 8:00:40 AM
Hope that if you are a Mom (or if you still have your mother), you have a very happy Mother's Day.

5/10/2008 6:04:09 PM
No exciting scene plans this weekend, but I am going to see the light artwork at the National Cathedral tonight, and then I'm going to hit Artomatic sometime this week. I'm so glad the weather tonight is good for the cathedral event!

5/7/2008 7:29:21 PM
(I'm sure that once football season starts again my posts will be less philosophical and more entertaining!)

5/7/2008 7:25:41 PM
I do believe that the two most abused words on this website are "true" and "real." Unless a person is pretending to a woman when they are a man (or visa versa), what on earth does anyone mean by describing themself as "true"? And as for "real" - are people here not taking up space and matter? Again, I'm sure there are some people pretending to be more experienced or thinner or wealthier of more fabulous than they actually are. But real? For me, there isn't "real" or "true", there are people who interest and/or attract me, or they don't. Doesn't mean they don't exist though, or that what they seek isn't valid. Really. Truly!

5/4/2008 7:29:28 PM
Wrapping up a quiet but good weekend -- some quality time with the maid, some time outdoors in the amazing weather, and some chill time at home. I'm a bit sad that I'm going to be separated from the maid for a summer break, but I know she will be back to me before I know it, and then we will make up for lost time.

5/2/2008 4:13:11 AM
Um, could anyone explain to me why the "video chatroom" feature is red on my toolbar? I tried using it (thinking I had a message or a chat request or whatever), and there wasn't anything there specifically for me, yet the tab is still red. It's great that CM keeps adding new features, but it's kind of annoying that they don't explain them or let you opt out easily. (And no, this post doesn't mean I want to video chat. I hate webcams, personally.)

5/1/2008 4:57:16 AM
I will be at the Dark Odyssey Happy Hour tonight, although probably not for a huge amount of time (busy season at work.) But if you are looking for fun with likeminded kinky people, that's where a bunch of us will be!

4/26/2008 1:41:07 AM
Well, while I am up I will make good use of my time. I am preparing a class presentation for Black Rose on objectification, and I am in need of volunteers for the class (I have one volunteer, but I want to find one or two more.) I will be using volunteers to serve as various demo objects (table, chair, ashtray, footstool, etc.) during the workshop, and then also possibly go into other non-human objects (puppy play, rubber doll, etc.) If you are interested in being a demo object or assisting in other ways, send me an email.

4/25/2008 11:55:12 PM
This is what happens when I go to bed at 9:30 pm -- I wake up at 3 am! Some days I get an "F" in life skills, hahaha. This is definitely not my most exciting Friday night. My allergies are still killing me, but hopefully some more rain tomorrow will help knock the pollen out of the air. That or I'll get better meds.

4/24/2008 7:27:59 PM
Ugh, worst allergies ever! I could see all the dandelion fluff in the air at the Nats game the other night, and I knew I would be in trouble today. I sniffled through happy hour for a bit, but had to come home to rest. I need a spa weekend....preferably somewhere with no pollen!

4/24/2008 4:59:27 AM
Well, my allergies are killing me, but I am going to Dark Odyssey's Happy Hour tonight anyway.  I need to get back to my friends! As for the baseball game last night....well, the new park was really nice, and the company was good, but the game? Not so great.

4/23/2008 4:17:27 AM
I usually try to stay positive both on my journal here and in my life in general, and I think having an overly negative profile here can affect how people view you. However, I do from time to time point out the whoppers that get sent to my mail here, and this one was too funny to ignore: " I am looking to buy some property in the area. As well I am looking for a professinal dom to dominate me at 5 of the locations as I visit the homes. Just as my real esate agent will be watching, my goal is to have you intice her enough to want to help in the domination of me. Bonus would be given for each time she helps. May i answer any questions you might have?"

Where to begin on this one? What, beating someone at an open house or in a model unit? And getting the realtor to pitch in? (Although having to deal with this guy, she might be eager to help regardless of whether she is kinky or not.) Never mind offering me money for this bizarre scenario - I guess "I am not a pro domme" isn't clear enough for him.

As I am a positive person, my take on this is that if someone with this poor level of spelling can be buying investment properties, maybe the economy isn't as bad off as I thought it was.

Off to work and then baseball for me. Whoo!

4/22/2008 7:29:48 PM
Aw, the end of the Caps game was just heartbreaking. It's definitely disappointing, but I plan to go to more games next season -- consider me hooked.  Now let's see how tomorrow's baseball game goes.

4/21/2008 8:11:59 PM
Why on earth are my allergies worse after all this rain? Isn't it supposed to wash all the pollen away?  Ugh. Anyway, I'm going to my first Nationals game at the new stadium this week, so that should be fun. And if the game stinks -- beer and Ben's Chili Bowl will rescue the night. And as for Caps tickets....yeah, maybe I'll just go to the Green Turtle to watch the game, as I don't think I'll be able to afford the scalpers!

4/20/2008 6:27:31 PM
So this was not my most exciting weekend, but it was still good. Gave the maid her presents from my travels last night, and got to spend some quality time playing with her. I meant to have more fun today, but it's practically flooding here, so I'm chilling at home and trying to stay dry.

4/19/2008 3:31:52 AM
....And now I'm up at 6 in the morning. Worst jetlag ever! I think I went to bed around 10 last night? I'm actually skipping two scene parties I had invites to tonight so I can unpack (crap, I just realized I never took my damp bathing suit out of my suitcase) and try to bounce back energy wise. My travel was totally worth it, but I can't remember ever being this wiped out before.

4/17/2008 6:40:24 PM
I'm home, and I don't know if it's possible to die from jet lag or not, but I am definitely wiped out. Had a great trip but I'm glad to be home.

4/13/2008 5:23:09 AM
It's travel day! Got my taxes done yesterday, had a lovely afternoon with emily, and now it's back to work for me. Hope you all have a good week, and I'll catch up with you next week.

4/11/2008 6:45:26 PM
I'm back, but just to repack and then go back on the road again. The more I travel, the more I realize I'm a bit of a homebody. (Admittedly, a homebody with a stockade and a bunch of kinky gear, but still!) If I haven't gotten to your email, I will try to next week. I'm really wiped out. (edited to add: just watched the end of the hockey game on tv, and it was great! Now I'm going to bed.)

4/8/2008 7:49:49 AM
Okay, I'm packing like a maniac and getting ready for work travel. I'll be away for a week or so, but will answer emails when I get back. Take care!

4/5/2008 7:05:56 PM
There's two great parties going on tonight, but I'm staying at home relaxing and watching movies (Slap Shot, in honor of the Caps win tonight.) I'm going to be traveling for the next couple of weeks for work, so I need a night to get my house in order and pack. Not my most exciting Saturday night, but it's still good.

4/3/2008 4:43:35 AM
I'm going to try to stop by Happy Hour, but I have a work event beforehand. If I get there it will be later in the evening (8 pm or so.) It's a busy week!

4/1/2008 10:16:36 PM
You know, it's past midnight but I really want to make a pot of coffee or a cappuccino right now. That's about as self destructive as I get these days, but it still would be pretty damned stupid at this time of night!

3/29/2008 7:36:48 AM
I'm not a masochist, but I am going to do something pretty foolhardy this weekend: go try to see the cherry blossoms at the Tidal Basin! Anyone from this area knows that the peak weekend is also peak tourist season, and it gets pretty crowded and crazy out there.  But I love the cherry blossoms, so I will fight the crowds and try not to snap at tourists when they stand on the left on the Metro escalators (grrrrrr!)

3/27/2008 4:50:43 AM
It's official -- I will be teaching another class for Black Rose in early June. The subject will be objectification, so if there are any questions or ideas you have about the subject, email them to me so I can include that information in my class. I'll also be looking for a few good demo objects (human chairs, footstools, puppies, etc.) so keep that in mind.

3/24/2008 9:10:02 PM
Happy Birthday to me, Happy Birthday to me, Happy Birthday Happy Birthday, Happy Birthday to meeeee! (In the name of honesty, I changed my age on my profile - gah, that is a huge number!)

3/24/2008 8:32:04 AM
Home from Winter Fire, and damn am I exhausted. It was a lot of fun, but I'm sure glad I took today off so I can crash and relax a bit. The only bummer is today I have to go renew my driver's license, as tomorrow is my birthday and it expires then. Nothing like waiting until the last minute to take care of life junk, huh?

3/19/2008 5:31:39 PM
Still packing for this weekend. You'd think I was going to Mars or something, vs. just downtown. But still -- rope, floggers, singletails, paddles, restraints, heels, boots, and a few outfits. It adds up, and I need a steamer trunk for all this stuff! And the maid just got a new latex uniform, so I've got good help all weekend.

3/17/2008 5:09:35 AM
Happy St. Patrick's Day - don't overdo it tonight! I'm going to spend a quiet night at home....still packing fetishwear for next weekend. I'm actually working on a spreadsheet to track what I'm wearing to the event and what the maid is to wear. Yeah, we're clotheshorses!

3/16/2008 2:16:28 AM
So I went to bed early, now I'm up at 5 am and can't sleep. Sometimes I am not a smart woman! But I am trying to get all the sleep and relaxation I can this weekend, as next weekend is a big event (Dark Odyssey's Winter Fire weekend), and I know I'm going to be burning the candle at both ends, and then some. I plan to spend as much time having fun in the dungeon as possible!

3/15/2008 11:28:28 AM
I went to my first hockey game last night (with the maid), and it was surprisingly a lot of fun! It's definitely better than watching baseball (zzzzzzz.) I wish there had been more fighting, but the guys skating into each other was pretty fun to watch. Hot men fighting - can't go wrong there! (Except maybe the ones missing teeth....)

3/13/2008 4:57:55 AM
My spring allergies are kicking up and I've got a ton of work to do, but yes I am still going to HH tonight. It's a bad habit, but what can I do?

3/11/2008 5:39:58 PM
Do you know why you should be jealous of me? Because I went to see the Pogues in concert last night, that's why! They were fantastic, and I only got stomped on a wee bit on the dance floor, as well as mildly sprinkled with all the beer being thrown. It was a classy event, and I loved every minute of it.

3/9/2008 7:46:12 AM
This weekend is all about Spring Cleaning, both for my apartment and for me! Pedicure, manicure, facial, eyebrow shaping...I am one high maintenence woman.  As for the apartment, I am switching out the curtains, cleaning and organizing. The sun is out and its beautiful, but it's still chilly enough to have a fire in the fireplace. Best of both worlds!

3/6/2008 5:12:58 AM
Once again I will be at Dark Odyssey's Happy Hour tonight, but probably only for a short while as a lot of my friends are out of town. Not sure where the Happy Hour is? Check their website.

3/4/2008 9:44:39 PM
Tonight's class was very interesting, and had a packed house. Good job all around, I say. Went to 201 Lounge afterwards to hang with friends, so that was fun. Oh! I also was asked to present *again* for Black Rose, so that is a plus! Looks like the class  will be on objectification and will take place sometime in May. I'll post more info as it becomes available.

I'd write more, but I have a big work meeting sick early tomorrow, so to bed I go.

3/4/2008 4:30:05 AM
Hokay! Tonight I will be at BR's class on erotic spanking, as it is being taught by a good friend. If you like spanking, you should be there too! I don't know if I'll make Happy Hour before that (at Lounge 201) because I have a ton of work stuff due Wednesday morning, but .... you never know!

3/3/2008 1:21:10 AM
Had a great weekend -- went to see a gallery exhibit I had been dying to see, went to a super fun play party, and had a movie night and lots of play with the maid. And I don't want to jinx it, but I am so happy that spring is almost here -- I really love the sun being brighter and hearing the birds. Once I see my favorite flower blooming (daffodils) I'm going to fill my apartment with them.

2/28/2008 9:16:12 AM
Now here's an interesting story. A friend of mine - submissive woman, very cute -- got an email from a potential Dominant. She read his email, answered a few others, and then went to answer him: total elapsed time, 34 minutes. By then, he had emailed her again to say "well, I guess you aren't interested." People, let me just tell you: whatever you want in this lifestyle, it is highly unlikely you are going to get it in 34 minutes! Anyway, tonight I will be at the Dark Odyssey happy hour, and if I'm lucky I'll get my glass of wine within 34 minutes. Hah.

2/26/2008 7:52:34 PM
Again -- I am a nice person, but if you bother me and continue to email me after I tell you I am not interested, I am going to block you. It's that simple.

2/23/2008 7:51:01 AM
I have so much stuff to do today, but "Master and Commander: the far Side of the World" is on tv. Nevermind I have seen it a million times (and nevermind that I own the freaking dvd), this movie just sucks me in every time. In my dreams, I am Captain Jack Aubrey, commanding my ship and going after the Acheron. Okay, back to work!

2/22/2008 8:12:42 PM
It's official - I am registered to attend Winter Fire! Good times, good times. This is always one of my favorite events of the year. If it's half as good as last year, then I'm going to have a wonderful time!

2/22/2008 4:57:04 AM
Great. Ice all over the roads, and my work isn't even offering a two hour delay. Grrrr!  At least I'm going to have a fun and relaxing weekend....and I'm hoping to see my emily model some new fetishwear for me. As for me? Crap, bitches, it's cold! I'm wearing jeans and sweaters! LOL

2/21/2008 4:41:32 AM
I'm super tired and I'm behind at work, but yes I will be back at the Dark Odyssey Happy Hour tonight. Dupont Italian Kitchen, around 6:30 pm -- I won't be staying too long, as I have a long day Friday, but I will be there for an hour or two with my girl emily. And yes -- I will be registering for Dark Odyssey: Winter Fire this week as well. If I'm going, you know you should be too!

2/19/2008 3:43:59 AM
I'm back from the big city, which was wonderful except for the fact that I threw my back out - oy!  If you are a Jasper Johns fan, the new show at the Met is pretty good.  I also had to visit the Egyptian wing, because their collection is just so extensive and I love it. Oh! There's also the Damian Hirst shark on display too! So....formaldehyde sharks, Old Kingdom treasures, and Jasper Johns. That's my weekend report.  Thanks to everyone who wished me a Happy Valentine's Day, I did have a lovely one. My sissy maid actually made me a homemade batch of my favorite candy (chocolate covered cherries), and bought me a really good Cabernet. Talk about luxury! Have I mentioned that I am a lucky girl lately?

2/13/2008 11:45:42 PM
Oh jeez -- another Valentine's Day. I truly hope you are not all buying overpriced old dead roses and junk like that for your loved ones. Overpriced roses suck! Me, it's dinner at home and a candy binge with the maid, then I'm heading up to New York for a weekend of shopping and museum hopping. This week is a sad one for me (I lost my mom a year ago), so going to see the Jasper Johns exhibit and having some cocktails in the city will help improve things somewhat. Oh -- do you know what does make a great Valentine's Day present? A robot!

2/12/2008 4:20:25 AM
I've had robots and dogs on the mind recently. There is a local exhibit of robots on display that I'm going to see either tonight or tomorrow, and some of them are so damn cute! I swear if I had a spare $14,000 lying around I would buy a Mitsubishi Wakamaru, because they break my heart they are so adorable. I'd have to get it reprogrammed to speak English, but oh well what's another thousand or two? Maybe I'd learn Japanese to save money. As for dogs, it's Westminster Kennel Club time, and although I'm disappointed that a bull terrier didn't win Best of Group in the terrier division this year, the white mini bull that one Best of Breed was pretty frickin' adorable. I would love to get a mini bull for agility training. Let others dream of a house filled with dungeons and slaves, I want a robot and a bullie! lol

2/11/2008 4:48:59 AM
Gah! It's freezing out. I so do not want to go to work. Definite case of the Mondays.

2/10/2008 1:16:27 PM
I have had a lovely weekend, with a lot of fun and excitement with emily. Only one down thing - I've somehow ganked my heel/foot, which has now made my leg and my back hurt. So I'm relaxing indoors and listening to the wind howl outside, and maybe if I get really ambitious I'll start a fire in the fireplace.

2/7/2008 8:29:04 PM
Just an FYI: the people in my "circle of friends" doo hickey thingie are actually people I know in my regular old meatworld. So if you ask me to friend you and I don't actually know you, please don't take offense if I decline the invitation.

2/6/2008 8:58:51 PM
Sometimes the planning of a scene is as much fun as the scene itself. And I have been doing some planning.

2/4/2008 7:15:51 PM
I'm going to try the Head On approach to conveying information: "If you write me, send a photo. If you write me, send a photo. If you write me, send a photo."  Let's see how that works!

2/3/2008 8:08:04 PM
Okay, between the Giants win and the Puppy Bowl, today has been a truly good day. Suck it Patriots, hahahaha.

2/3/2008 7:06:52 PM
AW, YEAH!!!!!

2/3/2008 2:03:07 PM
I don't know how the game is going to turn out today, but damn the puppies on the Puppy Bowl are cuter than ever! What I wouldn't give to be there when they tape the show. But DAMN, I wish they'd stop running the Pedigree ads with the sad dog who doesn't get adopted! Damn you, David Duchovny, and your sad, cracking voiceover work! Makes me tear up every time they show it....and that's about five times an hour. Grrrr.

2/3/2008 8:09:57 AM
ALL RIGHT! Today is the Super Bowl! (And before that, the Puppy Bowl at three -- yes, I watch it, shut up!) I have a few friends coming over for snacks and beer, so I'd better go get ready. Hopefully the game will be good....GO GIANTS!

2/1/2008 9:26:36 PM
It's nice to have a maid, especially one who cooks well. I am a lucky woman.

1/31/2008 4:42:11 AM
I'm very tired (had a guest from out of town visiting), but I will be at Dark Odyssey's Happy Hour tonight, although I won't be staying too late. I might put my head on the table and take a nap if I'm not too careful!

1/28/2008 6:26:51 PM
It's my very last President Bush State of the Union Drinking Game tonight, so I'm a wee bit nostalgic as I take a sip of wine for every word he butchers. I'd add drinking a shot every time he says "terrer" (aka "terror") or every time he smiles when he doesn't butcher a sentence, but I can't get drunk as I have work tomorrow. Whoops! He just said "nucular" -  time for a drink!

1/27/2008 2:21:35 PM
I'm home and I'm cranking the heat, as I have been freezing all day. I had a good time last night, although honestly I went short on the impact scene I was doing (didn't want to hog the equipment), and I was kind of hoping to beat one or two more fellas while there. Another day, another day.  I think this weekend will end with me taking a hot bath and then curling up with a good book.  I do have to finish getting rid of my #$%& dead Christmas tree, however! I am right down to the wire on the last day to recycle that bitch.

1/25/2008 10:20:47 PM
I should be asleep, as I need beauty sleep for the big party I am going to tomorrow. Tonight some friends took me out to my favorite vegan chinese restaurant (don't laugh - it's good!), and then we went to see an incredibly stupid movie (I'm too embarrassed to say what it was - it was that stupid.) We did laugh a lot, however, especially as we snuck some Jack Daniels in the theater to spike our sodas. Trust me - this movie needed help to get us to laugh!  Anyway, it was  a silly, high schoolish night, and I loved every minute of it. It's off to bed for me, then I'll decide what sort of evil fun things I want to pack for tomorrow...

1/24/2008 5:00:47 AM
Despite the grey, cold, weather and despite being tired and uninspired this week, I am going to Dark Odyssey's Happy Hour tonight. Dupont Italian Kitchen (upstairs dining room), around 6:30 or 7 pm.  I'll be the cranky chick in the hornrim glasses nursing a raspberry vodka and tonic, double lime. Come on out, y'all!

1/23/2008 4:55:56 AM
I think this is going to be one of those weeks where I just try to get through to Friday. There's a party I'm invited to this weekend that I am looking forward to attending, but that seems like a million years away.  Oh - I got my late Christmas present from my maid: a *gorgeous* dark red pvc floor-length dress. I may break it out this weekend, or save it for Dark Odyssey's Winter Fire. Decisions, decisions!  In other news....the Patriots still suck.

1/21/2008 1:47:02 PM
I'm back from the sunny west coast, and other than jetlag and a ton of laundry to do, it was a good trip. Now I'm just relaxing and waiting for Dungy to make his announcement about his plans for next year (it's 4:46! it was supposed to happen at 4:30! HURRY UP ALREADY!!!)

EDITED TO ADD: right after I posted "hurry up already", we had a power outage and I had to wait for an hour to get the good news that he is staying for another year. That's what I get for being impatient, right? But I can't help it; it's my nature.

1/16/2008 2:27:48 AM
I'm travelling this week for work, so I won't be answering emails until next week. Have a good week and don't do anything I wouldn't do (yeah, that leaves the door wide open, doesn't it?)

1/15/2008 4:28:37 AM
I'm a friendly person, and I try to answer my emails, but....there are some things that make it a lot less likely that I will respond. 1.) If you send an email that just says "hi" - what am I supposed to do, write "hi" back? What is this, grade school Valentine's Day, and you're Ralph Wiggum? Write something with substance, please. 2.) Immediate requests to chat - I used to like Yahoo until I got bombarded by requests to chat. (I'm not even going to get into how thrilling it is to have people I said "no" to over a year ago still pinging me with instant messages.) I like to chat with people I know, so I'm not going to chat after one email. 3.) TXT SPK, L33t Sp3Ak. Write me when you have the time and energy to do it correctly. (I don't mind if English is a second language, however.) 4.) Insta-Domme requests -- if you read my journal and profile, you know that I just went through a breakup (a friendly one, but still.) I'm pretty sure my profile right now is checked "friends only", so it is really very unlikely that I am going to be your eternal owner this week, or lock you in my dungeon of wonders.  This is the bitchiest post I've written in a while, but I thought I would get it out there. Thanks for reading it.

1/13/2008 2:56:32 PM
It's official. I no longer care about football this year. Instead, I am cheering for the puppies in the Puppy Bowl. Actually, given my recent streak, maybe I should cheer for the Patriots? I would try to follow hockey, but I hate the Caps fans when they are on the Metro so badly, I don't think I could bring myself to enjoy it. Whatever -- go puppies.

1/11/2008 4:44:23 PM
You know, everyone keeps asking me about who is going to replace Gibbs, but what I want to know Dungy retiring? Because that would suck ass, bigtime! Rumor has it he has enrolled his son at my former high school (and his family still has a house and ties there), so it could be true. I swear, if the Colts don't make it in the Super Bowl this year, I'm just going to watch the Puppy Bowl instead of the big game. OMG PUPPIES!

1/9/2008 6:21:59 PM
Well, I'm a little bummed, and I'm trying not to respond by taking a nap. I've been sleeping between 9 to 10 hours a night recently, and that's a bit much. But my natural response to being sad is to go to sleep -- actually, that is my response to most anything! But I can't sleep my life away.

1/8/2008 2:18:13 AM
I've been so focused on football recently, I haven't written about any other fun activities. I had a fun New Year's, where I got to do some impact play with a female friend, and show off the maid on her leash. I had on one of my tightlacer corsets for NYE, and got a lot of compliments on that. It was a last-minute pick, but pretty (I need to reorganize my fetish wear, as right now I don't even know half of what I own.) This weekend I'm planning some rope work and maybe playing with my stockade a bit. I don't want you all to think that I'm all football, all the time!

1/6/2008 11:59:36 AM
AAARRRRGH. THIS GAME IS KILLING ME. (Edited to add) - Well, the Bucs season is over, the Skins season is over. At this point, all I've got is the Colts, and basically anybody else other than the Patriots. I'm going to take a nap and try not to get too depressed over this weekend.

1/5/2008 10:45:43 AM
Clearly I don't know the difference between Saturday and Sunday -- Redskins are today, Bucs tomorrow. This wouldn't be so embarrassing except I invited people over today. Oops. EDITED TO ADD: Jeez, the Redskins game was depressing! I hope the Jaguars win over the Steelers, but just by typing this I've probably jinxed them.

1/4/2008 6:20:58 PM
Well, I got some interesting news tonight. And now I'll finish this wine and go to bed. Oh, yeah - tomorrow? Bucs over the Giants. Eli gets rattled too easily. Or so I hope.

1/3/2008 8:59:08 PM
Honestly, I think I am still wiped out from New Year's Eve.  I am hoping to get through work tomorrow so I can come home and crash.  This weekend is going to be about football and relaxing -- if I really get some energy, I'll unpack my toy bag from this past weekend. Yes, I'm that tired (and my toy bags are that overstuffed....)

1/2/2008 9:42:27 PM
Wow, the Fiesta Bowl was a real rout, huh? I remember when USF beat WV early in the season, but that was a million years ago, it seems.  I don't care that much about college football, but it's fun to watch the bowl games.  On a lark, I decided to price tickets to see the Bucs/Giants game - $550 per ticket! Looks like I will be watching that one from the comfort of my couch Saturday.

1/1/2008 12:43:47 PM
Happy New Year! I am exhausted -- even though I didn't drink too much last night (just the champagne toast), I was up until 4 in the morning, so I am a little wiped out today. I made hoppin' john. so there will be good luck in my house this year. Hope you all have the same.

12/31/2007 2:00:55 PM
Got home from work early so I can get ready for tonight's party. I hope that all of you have a wonderful New Year, however you are celebrating it. And....GO BUCS, GO SKINS, sorry Seahawks, sorry Giants. Woot!

12/30/2007 3:39:22 PM
TODAY'S SKINS/COWBOYS GAME: 1. Did they import the refs from Dallas? 2. Where has Todd Collins been for the last decade of my life? I love him! 3. Is there a team that deserves this win more?  Okay - during commercials I'm trying to finish cleaning my apartment and getting ready for New Years. Must have a clean house and hoppin' john for 1/1/08. I really wish I didn't have to work tomorrow.

12/30/2007 7:38:15 AM
Saw "Atonement" last night. It was beautiful, but terribly sad. Don't see it if you are at all blue, because it is a heartbreaker. Speaking of heartbreakers, I am not even discussing the Giants/Pats game. Not. Even. Discussing. It. All of my energy today is focused on the Redskins winning over the Cowboys, so that one of my three favorite teams (Bucs-Colts-Skins) can do something about the Patriots. Seriously, if they do win the Super Bowl, it's an asterisk win, stupid cheaters.

12/29/2007 8:08:26 AM
Today's big dilemma is what to wear for New Year's Eve. Latex looks hot, but I can move around more in pvc. But it's going to be cold, so maybe it's a good night for latex after all, right? Of course, I could always go with a corset -- I predict by the end of today I will have a million outfits scattered all over my apartment, and still be no closer to a decision.

12/26/2007 8:18:39 PM
Ugh - I have had this mild headache, but it's been going on all day and won't go away. Could be from not sleeping well, so I'm going to go remedy that right now! In other news, my apartment is a wreck from my maid being on holiday travel. Life is tough sometimes, but I muddle through. I definitely see a cleaning party in January, however.

12/25/2007 3:46:59 PM
Whew - I'm back home from New York, and relaxing and unpacking. I had a great trip: ate too much, drank too much, and had way too much fun. Surprisingly, I didn't do any fetish shopping, and stuck with museums and walking all over Central Park. It was a great time, and exactly what I needed. I hope that everyone has had a wonderful holiday, and that the New Year is a good one.

12/20/2007 4:24:33 AM
The new photo thingie in the search (and on the "who's viewing me?" page) is interesting. I don't know if I like it or not, because you have to scroll through so many pages, but we'll see. It is nice to put a face with a name.

I got an old piece of bondage equipment out of my storage, so I'm hoping to dust it off and see if it works while I'm up in New York. It's a portable stockade, so that should be interesting to travel with, huh?

12/18/2007 8:24:33 PM
Damn, I feel like I have been beaten up from shopping. Not a good sort of beaten up, more of a "crap I'm tired" beaten up. But  the stockings are filled and hung with care -- and they are filled with good stuff.

12/16/2007 10:30:26 AM
I don't do this often (or ever, really), but in case either the BF or the maid (or my family? Hope not!) are reading this -- I just saw the ad for the dvd of "Bladerunner: The Final Cut" and OMG! WANT. WANT. WANT.  Dear Santa...I've been good, you little punk.  How many years have I identified with Roy Batty? Put this under the tree!

12/15/2007 8:46:51 PM
I did most of my holiday shopping today. Somehow online shopping just isn't as fun as shopping in person, but it was cold and I was not feeling up to the crowds today. All I have to do now is some stocking stuffer shopping and I'm done. Then it's up to NY to go buy goodies for myself!

12/14/2007 4:31:12 AM
All I want for Christmas is to see the damn sun, is that so much to ask? That or some snow - I am tired of this grey misty rainy crap. Oh, I'd also like the Bucs or the Colts to win the Superbowl, and I'd like a crystal Bucs shirt that I saw on their website. And a pink singletail I saw in New York. Okay...I guess I want more than some sunshine, but I would be happy with that!

12/13/2007 2:41:08 AM
I'm up at 5:30 in the morning, probably because I drank two large cappuccinos late in the evening yesterday, vs. having dinner. I am so not a genius sometimes. Now I'll probably be exhausted by mid-afternoon, but I am still going to Dark Odyssey's Happy Hour tonight, sleepy or no. I know - I'll drink more coffee to stay awake. Thus, the cycle of stupidity continues.

12/12/2007 7:00:06 PM
Sad but true -- I have not done one bit of holiday shopping yet. I'd better get on it, stat! Looks like I will be spending the holidays in the Big Apple with a good friend. Should be fun!

12/12/2007 4:26:15 AM
I fell asleep last night instead of going out. Oops! This rainy and grey weather makes me more tired than usual.  I did have one bit of excitement yesterday -- I got the pink leather collar I had custom ordered while at BR in the mail. I know a lucky maid who will find that in her stocking this Christmas!

12/11/2007 4:53:30 AM
Tonight I will be at the DC-TNG, which is held at 201 Lounge on Capitol Hill. I probably won't stay too long, but stop by and say hello.

12/9/2007 8:11:29 AM
Wow, I'm behind. Today is Christmas tree day, and I still haven't bought the damn tree! And for the record, getting a zipcar this weekend has been next to impossible - I got one, but not for the time I wanted and not in the location I wanted either. Oh well, that's what I get for waiting. Anyway, the ornaments and lights are out, I've got eggnog, bourbon and rum, and a bottle of prosecco. I will have a tree and have it decorated by the end of the day! I'll probably have most of my friends tipsy by the end of this process, but that's part of the fun too. (ETA: zipcar will be returned before the bubbly and eggnog are served, so no worries. Don't drink and drive, and stay in school!)

12/5/2007 10:13:57 PM
Today was the first snow of the year, and it was so beautiful. The weather isn't helping my laryngitis, but screw it - it's worth it. The maid fixed me dinner tonight, along with coffee and kahlua. Tomorrow night is Dark Odyssey's Happy Hour, Friday I go out to see some friends in Charm City, Saturday I buy a Christmas tree, and Sunday I decorate it (with the help of my boyfriend.) Life is good.

12/2/2007 3:19:13 PM
I didn't know it was possible to be so exhausted from shopping, but I am shot. Got some new stiletto sandals and some hogtie restraints, vet foam tape and a colorful chain flogger that I'll use for cbt. As much as I spent, however....emily spent more! Seriously, we must have been there for four or five hours. Next up, we met my boyfriend and all went to a fun play party together. Today has been cold and rainy, so I'm going to make some soup and go to bed early.  What I wouldn't give for a three day weekend.

12/1/2007 4:39:20 AM
This may some hearts out there, but....I am going to throw out a bunch of old shoes and boots this weekend. My closet is exploding, and I need to get rid of the worn out ones (I walk a lot so I am hard on shoes.) I'll resole the good ones like my dress shoes, but the others have got to go!

11/29/2007 6:12:36 PM
Okay, it's official -- I will be at the Black Rose vending area on Saturday around noon. If you see me, say hello, but don't interrupt my shopping! ;) (For the record, I will be shopping for some bondage gear/restraints, some fetish heels, bulk vet foam tape, and maybe an outfit or two. And then I'll be looking at pretty frilly things for emily - sounds like a full day, doesn't it?)

11/29/2007 4:59:27 AM
Wow, if it is possible to die from mucus, I am in big trouble! Disgusting but true. I've got to get better so I can go shopping at BR's vendor area this weekend. Who is going to be there? Let me know if you want shopping advice!

11/28/2007 3:59:29 PM
Unbelievable. I have another cold! Seriously, I want new sinuses for Christmas, as I seem to catch a cold every time the weather changes (which recently has been every day or so.) Should I take vitamins or something? I wash my hands about a thousand times a day, I try to stay healthy - oh blah. It's very annoying. On the positive side, it gives me an excuse to eat lots of spicy foods, in order to cauterize my throat. Hotsauce is theraputic.

11/27/2007 4:01:40 PM
I am very sad about the death of Sean Taylor. My sympathies go out to his family and friends, and Redskins fans everywhere.

It's a tough day.

11/26/2007 4:49:04 AM
I'm home from travel, and I'm really tired but it was much better than I expected yesterday. My deepest condolences to you Redskins fans yesterday, but yeah - you know who I wanted to win. Wish I could have gone to the game, but then I would have missed my flight! And I'm hoping that the USF Bulls get in the Gator Bowl, but we'll just have to see.

11/17/2007 9:58:00 PM
As usual, a busy weekend. I went to dinner Friday with my boyfriend, and then spent today shopping and hanging out with him, then going to an amazing potluck dinner where I ate waaaay too much (especially the homemade mac and cheese!) Tomorrow my submissive maid is coming over to do some cleaning and then play. Then it's work, work, work until Thanksgiving, then I head out to see family. I hope everyone has a great holiday, and a great week.

11/15/2007 4:15:46 AM
Despite the rainy weather, I will be at the Dark Odyssey Happy Hour tonight. It should be fun.

11/14/2007 4:28:29 AM
Work is kicking my butt this week. I could definitely use another three day weekend, but I'd settle for two days off. Too bad it's only Wednesday, grrrrr.

11/12/2007 12:46:58 PM
Well, this cold is definitely kicking my butt, but I have the day off so I am relaxing. I went bargain fetish shopping (got a great pair of new boots!) and then to an amazing private party on Saturday, and spent quality time with the boyfriend on Sunday (we went to see Bladerunner: The Final Cut.) Today I'm trying to get ready for the work week coming up.

11/9/2007 6:11:26 PM
Too much fun apparently makes me catch colds. That or the rain. I'm a bit under the weather, so I'm going to bed. Bleah.

11/9/2007 4:23:58 AM
Is it the weekend yet? I forgot -- in addition to my busy weekend plans, I am going on a frugal fetish shopping spree on Saturday. Cross your fingers that I find some bargains!

11/8/2007 4:13:40 AM
Once again, I will be at Dark Odyssey's Happy Hour tonight, at least for a little bit. I can't stay out too late as I'm still getting used to the getting up early thing, but I need to catch up with all my friends. See you there.

11/7/2007 6:15:29 PM
Work is beyond kicking my butt this week. I cannot wait for the three day weekend, as I am going to spend one of those days just sleeping in and relaxing. But overall things are going very well -- had a lot of fun with sissyemily2000 the other evening, and I have yet another fun party to attend this weekend. It's good to be the Queen!

11/5/2007 9:33:48 PM
I should really be asleep now. That or I should be at Costco buying a case of sugar free Red Bull. But I guess I'll go to sleep!

11/4/2007 9:45:53 PM
This was a great weekend, except for the Colt's loss to the $$#%@%! Patriots. At least the Bucs won. But I had a lot of fun besides that (and it was a close game.)

11/3/2007 7:43:52 AM
This weekend is busy, as most weekends are for me. Had a very nice dinner last night with a sissy who interests me. Today I'm hitting a couple of museums with my boyfriend, and hanging out downtown. Tomorrow I am hiking with a submissive who interests me. And then -- Colts vs. Patriots, baby! If you aren't for the Colts, don't even write me. Friggin Patriots.

11/1/2007 4:40:32 AM
I'll be at Happy Hour tonight, if only for a short bit. Can't stay out too late this week!

10/30/2007 9:19:58 PM
I am currently interviewing someone in the DC area for what I am seeking. So I will be taking a step back for the time being. I will, however, continue to post about football.

10/28/2007 4:12:50 PM
Here's the world's shortest update. Party: awesome. Redskins? Embarrassing. Bucs? Nearly dead to me. Colts? Awesome. Me? Exhausted!

10/26/2007 4:59:26 AM
I stayed out too late last night and had too much fun, so work today is going to be a long grind. But this weekend will have a big fetish Halloween party, and friends in from all over the place, and maybe even some football. I just wish I had had one less glass of wine last night, and come home one hour earlier. Such is life!

10/25/2007 5:33:24 AM
I'm exhausted still, and my apartment is a wreck. Fetishwear everywhere! I do wish I could sleep in this weekend, but that is not going to happen. I'll push through with my fun plans. I will be at tonight's Happy Hour with the DO people, so stop by and say hello.

10/23/2007 8:28:34 PM
Oh wow, am I tired! Thank you to everyone who came out to my class tonight. I had fun, although I felt a little brain dead towards the end. And damn - weren't the models distracting? Too frigging hot! Special thanks to my special assistant (he knows who he is), as well as for buckling my shoes so I could continue talking the crowd's ear off - nothing will ever stop me from talking! lol

10/22/2007 9:15:54 PM
Okay! My class at Black Rose is tomorrow, so I hope people will come out for it! It's on "fetish dressing on a budget", so if you like fetishwear (and you like bargains), then you should attend. I'm going to sleep now, so I don't look like total ass tomorrow (I'm very tired, but you won't see me sweat tomorrow.)

10/21/2007 7:19:23 PM
Yeah, I don't want to talk football this week, huh? But at least the Redskins won, and USF is still in the top ten (barely.) The Bucs? Ugh. Tomorrow I will have to juggle between the Colts game on MNF and "I Love New York 2", because I'm crazy that way. Anyway, go Colts.

10/21/2007 7:02:04 AM
Wow, I am 100 different kinds of beat up from the paintball game yesterday. It was tremendous fun, however. I just hope I can wear my heels on Tuesday for the class I am teaching, as both of my ankles and my legs took some major hits. I don't think it would look very good for me to do a class on how wonderful fetish clothes are in the Scene, only to be wearing my Birkenstocks!  (PS: Bucs are playing the Lions today, but I'm watching at home as I have models coming over for their fetish clothing fittings.)

10/19/2007 6:41:54 PM
Okay, I'm going to write this as nicely as possible. I like Collar Me - like the message boards, even occasionally stop by the chat rooms to say hi. Ultimately, I am hoping to find a submissive who meets my needs and interests (with me doing the same for them), but I also like chatting and socializing here. In the time that I have had this profile, I have had to turn down people for many reasons (different interests, not attractive to me, distance, age, etc.) I also simply get too much mail (from 10-20 new requests per day), and have met in person only about five people from this site. Guess what else? I have been turned down by submissives here too - and one of the ones who turned me down is now one of my closest friends and advisors. It's the nature of the beast, folks. I work hard to be polite and respectful about it, and I would hope for the same. So, if you decide to whine and moan in a public forum or at an event about "ohh, waah, she turned me down, blah blah blah" - I am going to ignore you, secure in the knowledge that I made the right choice in not giving you the time of day. Dignity and a backbone are very attractive features in a person, regardless of their orientation.

10/19/2007 5:23:58 PM
Don't ask me how I did this, but I accidentally ate some ham in a breakfast sandwich today. I've been a vegetarian since 1981, so needless to say, my stomach is pretty upset and I am not feeling so hot. I'm taking it easy tonight so I will feel better and kick some ass on the paintball field tomorrow. That's the plan, anyway. I'll see if I can get some pictures in my paintball mask, just for fun.

10/19/2007 5:02:23 AM
Arrrgh, USF lost. Oh well, it's still a great season. Happy Hour was interesting last night, although I am sick to death of the lack of air conditioning, not to mention the fact that it's still 80 degrees at the end of October! If I wanted high temperatures and humidity at this time of year, I'd move back to Florida. This weekend should be busy -- paintball all day tomorrow, folllowed by cleaning and organizing my apartment. Sunday will be organizing clothes and doing fittings with the models for my class Tuesday. I really wish this was a three day weekend!

10/18/2007 5:54:01 AM
Okay, so I took down my main photo so that I could put one up that looks a bit more like me (new haircolor, etc.), but now it seems that I've accidentally pulled all of my photos off of my profile. Nice. Anyway, if anyone can tell me how to fix this, I'd appreciate it. I've tried deleting and reloading the photos. It is humorous to see how my mail drops when the pics are gone - what, are you all not reading my fascinating football forecasts? Oh well. I will be going to DO's happy hour tonight, if only for a little bit. Work is very busy, and I've got to prep for my class next week.

10/17/2007 5:14:10 AM
I had my hair done yesterday....and it's brown! There are still some blonde highlights, but every time I look in the mirror, I think "holy cow, that's brown." So I will try to update my profile picture so that it looks something remotely like me, because I am no longer blonde. Yikes!

10/16/2007 5:45:21 AM
Okay, running late to work, but I will be at BR HH tonight. Say hello or buy me a diet soda or something (no beer tonight -- too much wine last night!)

10/15/2007 10:18:22 PM
Tonight I went out and bought a lovely new pair of boots, and then had my friend S over to watch our favorite trash TV, "I Love New York 2." Guys, I'm telling you, from a femdom perspective - this show delivers! Of course, it could be I believe this because S and I kill a bottle of rioja and an Amy's organic pizza while watching it, but hey -- it's the highlight of my Monday night. Okay, time for bed -- I'm getting a makeover tomorrow at Bang salon, so I may have new (and better) pics to update soon. Night!

10/15/2007 5:25:42 AM
I've got to go to work so I can pay off all the floggers and paddles and stuff I bought on my NY trip. Mondays are the worst, aren't they? I may go to BR HH this Tuesday to chat people up about my class, so if you want to meet me, there's a clue.

10/14/2007 10:39:07 AM
I'm watching the Redskins game and taking it easy since my back is still a bit sensitive. I really, really wish this was a three day weekend! It was just brought to my attention that USF IS RANKED NUMBER TWO THIS WEEK. UNBELIEVABLE! And the Bucs eeked out a win, so this is an overall good weekend for me.

10/13/2007 7:10:03 AM
I hurt my back (stupid twist while moving my suitcase on the way to NY.) I want to stay home and watch the USF game, but I'm going to a BBQ and Wii party instead, then a movie night. My back is making me cranky. It's hell being popular sometimes!  What I could *really* use, and what would *really* be helpful to me is for someone to tell me what sports bars in DC and Bethesda regularly show Bucs games, because I want to enjoy the game tomorrow and see it on a big screen. Maybe Old Dominion near the Convention Center? It's either watch the game or go get my hair colored, and frankly I'd rather see the game.

10/11/2007 10:49:31 PM
I'm home, I'm exhausted (in a good way), and I'm answering email as fast as I can.  If I lived in NY, I'd be so exhausted all the time from all the fun.

10/10/2007 5:32:52 AM
Just a quick note -- I'm in New York for two days. Going to see Ms. Polly Jean Harvey in concert, and I am beyond excited about that. I'll be back to posting and checking emails and on the message boards on Friday. Don't anybody do anything I wouldn't do! (That leaves things wide open, pretty much....)

10/9/2007 1:52:50 AM
Today (Monday) was a perfect day for slacking, except for the insane heat in the city. Ninety degrees in October is just stupid and crazy. Got Ms. J to her bus to head back to the city, grabbed some lunch, did some shopping, and then went home to collapse in a sweaty pile from the heat. A friend came over to drink wine and watch the premiere of "I Love New York 2", which was just as awful and wonderful as the first season. They showed a preview where one of the male contestants was being paddled, appeared to have on women's clothing, and was on a leash - now, *that* is quality television! Tuesday I spend time with the boyfriend, Wednesday morning I head to NY for PJ Harvey. It's already a good week, and it's going to get better.

10/7/2007 8:55:31 PM
Okay, so I missed the Colts/Bucs game due to the wedding (which was lovely) -- was it as lopsided as the score would indicate? Any reports would be appreciated. Now I'm working on some online/work junk, and relaxing with my friend Ms. J. We're both drinking wine and playing music and working on our respective work projects. It's good to have company around the house.

10/6/2007 6:36:27 PM
USF won again today -- did anybody see the game? Was it good? I was busy doing pre-wedding stuff, and getting ready for my friend Ms. J to come visit.  Two dominant women at a vanilla wedding -- what is the world coming to???

10/6/2007 8:10:18 AM
I am exhausted from work, and I have a wedding to attend this weekend. It should be lovely, but I will be really bummed to miss the Bucs/Colts game. I kind of hope the Colts win this one (huge Dungy fan), but as always, I hope the Bucs don't stink up the joint. I'm conflicted!  Oh, and my biggest news of all -- I'm going to NY for two days to go see PJ Harvey in concert! I've never seen her perform live (and she's only doing two shows in the US for her new cd), so I am beyond excited. Wish I had more time for visiting in NY, but I'm going to put together a weekend trip soon. It's good to be me these days.

10/2/2007 7:44:21 PM
Another really good day, but I'm so damned tired. The new PJ Harvey is great - go get it. I found an amazing Halloween outfit I want (hot pink pvc hobble skirt and corset), but damned if it isn't $450. I'm still thinking about getting it, though!

10/1/2007 7:28:05 PM
Today was a really good day. And tomorrow will be even better, since the new PJ Harvey cd will be available. I love her and I hope she tours for this one. Right now I'm listening to "Stories from the City, Stories from the Sea", particularly my theme song, "Good Fortune."  Okay, enough dawdling online -- back to reading for me.

9/30/2007 10:14:59 AM
National Book Fair = rocked. Beautiful day, amazing crowd, picked up a couple of history books on Lincoln. Today is Crafty Bastards craft fair with friends, and then football (and reading for work.) If the Bucs win today, I will  be insufferable, but I'm probably insufferable already anyway.

9/28/2007 10:06:19 PM
I just watched the USF/WV game with some friends, and all I can say is -- am I living in Bizarro World? My alma mater didn't even have a football team when I went there, and now not only are they good, but they beat the #5 team? Meanwhile, teams like Michigan and Notre Dame are terrible? Color me surprised! I'm exhausted from a long day, so I'm going to bed. Maybe when I wake up I'll be back in the regular world.

9/28/2007 5:30:56 AM
Wish me luck today -- I'll tell you why later. Hope everyone has a great weekend! If you don't have plans, go to the National Book Fair!

9/27/2007 3:15:14 AM
I'm awake with a screaming headache, so I may as well get ready for work. I need good luck on Friday, so send positive thoughts my way that day. I will be at Dark Odyssey's Happy Hour tonight, although I doubt I'll stay too long as I have some big work events on Friday. I wish the weather would turn cold, so I can use my fireplace already.

9/26/2007 3:12:52 AM
Went to BR's happy hour tonight and had a good time (despite the heat.) And now I'm up at an ungodly hour, so I'm writing for work and looking at Bucs merchandise for women on their website - the pink Bucs socks are so cute. I seriously want to fly home for a game this year, since they aren't playing the Skins in DC. Maybe the 11/25 Skins game in Tampa? I'll get back to writing about all things Dominant in my life, but dammit I want to go to a Bucs game! (ETA: I felt so bad for the Saints during the MNF game against the Titans. That fourth quarter was hard to watch.)

9/24/2007 6:48:57 PM
I do believe I have cornered the market on Dominant Women Football Chat with my journal here! lol If only I could make a career of it...Mistress Kornheiser or something.

9/24/2007 6:42:03 PM
A point of clarification: I was watching the Ravens on Sunday because that was the game showing here, but I am actually a longtime Bucs fan. I go back to the John McKay 0-26 years; back when being a Bucs fan was just about the most humiliating thing you could be on the face of this earth. One Superbowl title notwithstanding (and I still think that was an anamoly, or at least 90% owed to Dungy vs. Chucky), the Bucs are usually pretty awful, and rarely fail to disappoint. I'm pretty zen about football anyway - if the game stinks, you can always drink beer and enjoy the sunshine (or take a nap if you're watching at home.)

9/23/2007 11:29:43 AM
Are you watching the Ravens game? "Unsportsmanlike Conduct" for jumping in the stands and showing some love after that great play?  "NFL" = "No Fun League." That call was bogus.

9/22/2007 9:24:23 AM
One more thing: I am looking for a driver and assistant to help me set up for the class I am teaching on Tuesday, October 23rd.  Let me know if you are interested in serving as my helper for this event (from approximately 4:30 pm - 10:30 pm.)

9/22/2007 9:21:14 AM
I am the epitome of excitement -- went to the party last night, drank a lot of Diet Sprite (no alcohol/no caffeine), loaded up on Nyquil and went to bed! I could hear whipping and slapping and spanking all around me, but sleep was what I was craving. My wonderful partner did take good care of me and made sure no one interrupted my sleep. Anyway, I still had a good (if muted) time, and was glad to see my friends before they left town.

9/21/2007 5:30:46 AM
I think I'm catching a cold. Hopefully it's just allergies -- there's been a really bad cold floating around my office that has been knocking people out left and right. Ugh. Maybe that's why I was so tired last night? I think I'm going to the party tonight sans signal whip, and just take it easy.

9/20/2007 7:51:59 PM
Ugh, I was so tired tonight I could barely stay awake. Came home early, and I'm going to bed in about five minutes. But by tomorrow I'll have my second wind, and be ready for some fun (there's a going-away party for some scene friends.) Only thing I've got to figure out is how to pack my impact gear for work! lol

9/20/2007 4:39:14 AM
Today will be crazy at work (crazier than usual, even) but I will be out at my usual local event tonight. Can't wait to hear all the stories about camp!

9/17/2007 5:59:00 PM
Okay, Redskins vs. Eagles tonight. I usually cheer for the Redskins (unless they are up against the Bucs -- long-suffering Bucs fan here.) I just hope the game doesn't totally stink. If I don't answer emails quickly, it's because I'm watching the game. Do not come between me and football! ETA: wow, this game is not going well. That interception...ugh. Okay, it's an ugly game, but so far the Skins are winning. I'll take an ugly win vs. a noble loss anyday. Edited again: yay, Skins win. And now I'm going to bed!

9/17/2007 12:09:37 AM
Another Sunday, another weekend where I've screwed up my sleep pattern. Ugh. It used to be so easy to go to sleep or stay up all night if I wanted to. Now, I struggle to stay awake when I need to, and wake up in the middle of the night for no reason at all. Guess I'll sleep at my work tomorrow, ha!

9/16/2007 5:48:30 AM
Now, here's an interesting thing. I got a lot of email yesterday, and one email was from someone who said they had been a l/t slave, r/t, etc. etc. I was chatting with someone else, so I wrote back and asked a few quick questions, and asked that they write in first person, not third (I dislike the "this slave" and "this sub" stuff -- I'm not Gorean, I'm not Anne Rice.) So, the person sends me this long email back (and two long instant messages) that they were lying about everything they told me, this was a made-up character for their amusement, they just did it for fun, etc. etc. Thing is, you could tell by the email that this was a total cut-and-paste job that they had used many times! (He apologized for "leading me on", when he had only emailed me once.) So...this is this person's hobby? Making up a fake submissive character and then confessing to being vanilla? Um...okay! Maybe he does something really creative, like doing a memory scrapbook of his wank material, with little stickers and pressed flowers. (My hobbies are hiking, attending cultural events, reading and cooking, for the record.)

9/15/2007 3:53:56 PM
I think the interview went well; thanks to everyone who sent me good wishes. Today I'm chilling, just relaxing and puttering about the house. I am going to head down to Foggy Bottom to see the art installation that is being projected on Roosevelt Island at night, then home for a glass of wine and some reading. Not the most thrilling night, but I'm enjoying my "alone" time.

9/13/2007 5:35:46 AM
I have a big job interview coming up on friday, so I am a bit nervous, but I think it will go well. I'm going out for a short bit tonight to my usual place, but I imagine it will be dead since everyone is at Camp. Boooo!

9/11/2007 7:11:53 PM
Well, crap. Now I may not be going to bdsm camp. Which means I can either hit a different party that is local....or bundle up on my couch Saturday, nap, and then give myself a pedicure. How bad is it that I'm seriously thinking of doing the second option?

9/11/2007 5:39:11 AM
A lesson in futility: ironing and straightening your hair on a day when it is 90 degrees out with 90% humidity. My hair wants to puff up like a cotton ball. Ugh! I found out last night that I am going to go to a local bdsm camp for the day on Saturday, so I am very excited about that. I'll have to pack a picnic basket with my singletails!

9/9/2007 1:21:36 PM
Big party yesterday and big brunch today = me extremely tired! I'm going to take a nap and I will answer emails later. If you've written me, I am answering emails as fast as I can, but I've been swamped by requests (which is a good thing.) Patience is a virture, right?

9/8/2007 12:15:45 AM
It's official: I have screwed up my sleeping schedule beyond all recognition. I slept from 10 to 2 am, and now I'm awake. I have got to get back to normal! My weekend is action-packed; hope yours is, too.

9/7/2007 7:54:28 AM
I'm working from home today. Got a headache, but cappuccino will fix that. After changing my profile, I'm getting a bunch of emails again, so that's interesting. Going to a play party this weekend, and I am looking forward to that. Now I just have to unpack all the crap (oops, I mean valuable heirlooms!) that I brought from my trip.

9/5/2007 10:34:42 PM
I am so glad to be home (this is the understatement of the year.) I worked my butt off, but found some unexpected treasures while clearing out my parents' house. Despite everything, it was a good trip. Amusingly enough, this is the most I have ever used Ben Gay products for their intended purpose in my life - my muscles are beat up pretty badly! Once I get unpacked and settled down, I will finish answering my mail and post some info about my upcoming class. You bitches had better show up and support me, dammit! ;)

8/31/2007 10:01:45 AM
Going out of town for the weekend - we have a buyer for Mom and Dad's house, so we've got to go get the things that we want before the deal closes. Also, have to go to the funeral home to pick up Dad's ashes and scatter them on the mountain. So that's my Labor Day weekend -- cleaning and saying goodbye to the mountains, and to Dad. Hope you all have a good weekend -- I'll be back late next week (around Thursday or Friday.)

8/26/2007 5:00:35 PM
Interesting news -- looks like I will be teaching a workshop on fetish clothing (and bargain hunting) in late October for one of the local groups here. I'll post more information when I have it, but I'm giving you all an early heads-up so you can come out and see it!

8/24/2007 6:46:04 PM
I haven't been posting a lot;  haven't had much to say.  But I will say this: "The Wire" is a million times better than "The Sopranos", and if you disagree with me, you're going to get got!  Season three is amazing so far -- Do. Not. Spoil. It. For. Me.

8/7/2007 8:35:35 PM
Too many of my recent posts have been depressing, so here's some happy news: I'm *finally* going to get in some shibari practice with a cute and willing victim this weekend! And I'm going to go shopping with my favorite glamorous crossdresser.  I don't want you all to think I'm wasting away in lonelyville here. Oh -- and my vanilla ex husband asked me if I wanted to go to Bound sometime with him, for laughs. How bizarro is that?

8/7/2007 5:49:32 AM
Today is going to be 150 degrees or something. Ugh! I hate gym shorts and sloppy clothes, but damned if I don't wish I could go to work in a halter top and shorts. Or better yet, stay home in the air conditioning.

8/5/2007 5:25:58 PM
I've realized that weekends (and Sundays in particular) are hard because that is when I would usually call my folks to say hi and check in with them. It was a good weekend, regardless.

8/3/2007 5:47:13 AM
It's 98 degrees today, and I really don't want to go to work. I've been a little down and blue the past week or so, but I'm sure it will pass. Happy Hour last night was fun, despite the awful weather and stupid Metro's delays and mishaps. Going to two parties this weekend (one vanilla, one partially vanilla), and I hope to go shopping w/a crossdressing friend to find some fun things for him at some vintage stores. But really I'd like to sleep and go swimming, and I don't see that happening. Boooooo.

7/31/2007 8:13:38 PM
I'm feeling slightly better. That was one long-ass cold, though! I'm still kind of sniffly. Maybe if I sleep nonstop between now and Saturday I will be in good enough shape to attend the play party I've been invited to -- and if not, there's always next week.

Funny news from last week: I found out my ex husband went to Bound with a group of coworkers! The world is a small place sometimes, huh? I need to call him and see if he had a good time. I swear I'm living in Bizarro World some days.

7/25/2007 9:47:46 PM
I've had a cold since Monday, so I've been out of commission, email and posting wise. After stumbling home from work, I've downed some airborne and gone to bed by 8pm three nights straight -- pretty boring! I just woke up and feel somewhat better. I have to make up my mind about my weekend plans, and whether I should just rest and recuperate vs. going out. Ha, I still haven't unpacked my toybag from Saturday - I am a mess this week. Okay, back to bed for me.

7/21/2007 11:23:31 AM
The weather is beautiful today, and I'm in the mood to mow the lawn. I've got a six pack of Sam Adams, and a dream -- cover of House & Garden, here I come! Hahahaha. Anyway, at times I do find a meditative quality to doing mindless work, and you can't get more mindless than mowing. I've got another scene party to hit tonight, so I'll try not to wear myself out with the yard work. It's all about balance. I saw a deer on my morning walk, and it was the prettiest thing I've seen in some time. There is beauty in front of you right at this moment, if your eyes are open.

7/18/2007 2:02:57 AM
Hahaha, I love it when I get fan mail: "are u whinning because u r getting older and cannot bounce back." Well, now! First off, I am not "whinning", as I am not a Scottish horse (to the best of my knowledge.) Secondly, did I not make that clear in my post? Yes, the older I get, the harder it is for me to bounce back from my various adventures - something I accept as part of life. Bonus points for snarking me on a month when I'm a little down! Time is a bitch, and it will get you too, sport, and no matter how old and decrepit I get, I will not resort to misspellings and text speak to express myself.

7/16/2007 4:57:34 PM
Ugh. The downside of having a fabulous weekend is that I had work-related business on Sunday, and no time to recuperate from Saturday's hijinks. The bags under my eyes have bags, and I was dragging butt all day today. The downside of getting older is that it takes me longer to bounce back from the trouble I get myself into, but what are you going to do?

7/15/2007 5:53:44 PM
I had a wonderful time last night -- don't know how I did this though, but I hurt my ankle (think I accidentally kicked some equipment) and bruised my legs up pretty thoroughly. If I didn't know any better, I'd swear that someone beat me last night, and not the other way around!

7/11/2007 8:42:57 PM
You know what? This weekend is going to be epic. And I think Happy Hour tomorrow may be fun as well.

7/10/2007 6:22:16 AM
I need to buy groceries and run errands today, but I think I'm going to get a pedicure instead, because chores will always be there for me, but my feet may fall off if I don't show them some care this week (too much hiking, not enough pampering.) This is not posted to start a flurry of "omg I'll pamper your feet" emails, but to demonstrate my strange thought process. There's a big party coming up this weekend, and I'm already behind on prepping. Don't know if I'll play or not (I'm still very blue, so I don't know if I'll feel up to it), but I have to look amazing regardless of what I do scenewise.

7/9/2007 5:54:30 AM
Back to work today - seems like it's been about 100 years since I've been there! I really wish they'd let me have margaritas at my desk, but I suppose that would be a bit much.

7/8/2007 12:22:39 PM
Okay, now I'm really back. Took a few days to be by myself, and then my wireless connection crapped out, so I've been even more away than I anticipated. Thank you to all who sent condolence messages; I do appreciate them. I was lucky to be with my father before he died, and to spend one more day with him.  Not everyone gets that. It still is turning out to be a very difficult year.

7/5/2007 4:41:53 AM
I am back. My father passed away. I probably won't be online much or in the mood to chat for a few days. Thanks.

6/29/2007 9:20:14 PM
I am away due to family.

6/28/2007 4:46:59 AM
There's supposed to be a huge thunderstorm with lightning and hail tonight, but unless I get hit by that I'm still going out to Happy Hour! I really hope there's a break in this weather soon; it is awful.

6/26/2007 5:39:52 AM
Tired, headache, the heat -- I'm just going to guzzle mint green iced tea today and hope for a first wind, let alone a second. I got a package in the mail with some effects from my mother - kind of knocked the wind out of my sails. I'll bounce back. Is it Friday yet?

6/23/2007 4:29:36 PM
Just got home from hiking today. I was at Antietam, and it was really beautiful; a perfect day. Think the three battfield trails were around five or six miles total. I also picked up a book on the history of the battle, so I've got some reading tonight. I did hit some poison ivy w/my hand, so I'm spending the night with my book and some calamine lotion!

6/22/2007 5:07:49 AM
I am very, very, very, very, very, very tired. What I wouldn't give for a three day weekend right about now, or a spa day. Maybe some B-12 vitamins would help or something. Short of pouring coffee in my eyeballs, I simply have zero energy!

6/21/2007 6:12:34 AM
Aaack! My internet connection was down for a day -- I will answer emails and junk tonight. I'm late for work! I'm going to HH tonight! Gotta run!

6/18/2007 7:25:49 PM
This week is crunch time at work, so I won't be on much. More bad news about family matters. I need a lot of coffee to get through this week, but get through it I will.

6/17/2007 12:38:42 PM
Today I am sipping champagne at home (I splurged, sue me) and trying to work up the energy to finish folding laundry and getting ready for the work week. Had coffee today with a friend; that was fun. I'm still in a sushi coma from last night -- Sushi Ko was wonnnnderful. Nevermind I eat vegetarian sushi - it was great.  I wish I had some limoncello (my favorite summer drink), but I will pick some up tomorrow. I'm going to go read and chill in the backyard. In the meantime, Happy Father's Day to all of you who are dads, and my thoughts are with those of you who remembering your fathers.

6/16/2007 8:06:25 AM
The weather is gorgeous today. Damn, I wish I was tubing this weekend! But I've got fun plans tonight, and my sunburn from last week has just healed, so maybe it's for the best. But next weekend? Harper's Ferry here I come.  In other news, even though it's hot outside, I'm dying to play with some wax. Go figure!

6/15/2007 5:55:18 AM
The only catastrophe last night was that I really should have gone home at 10 (vs. 11), and held off on the last round of cocktails. Oh, my head! But I am grateful for not having worse news today. Got some funny emails last night -- someone from Canada wrote me, and when I wrote back "sorry, you're a bit too far away", they responded that that was a lame excuse, and then wrote "blah blah blah" - I love it! I blocked him, but I laughed. Yes, I am sure I can travel between here and Canada three times a week to meet this wonderful, true submissive - and there is nothing like arguing with a person or namecalling to show your submissiveness. On that note, off to work I go.  Until next time, blah blah blah!

6/13/2007 9:13:29 PM
Oh. Looks like I am going to HH tomorrow night, barring catastrophe between now and when I wake up tomorrow.

6/13/2007 9:12:15 PM
I love the message boards; truly, I do. But sometimes people write a dissertation with every single response on every single topic, and it just reminds me of work too much! Arrrrgh! Does anyone actually read all of those super-long responses, or is it the sound of one hand clapping? Maybe by the time I get home from work I am "short attention span girl." And of course I'm writing stuff here, so I'll just hush up now. Feel free to send me a "TL;DR"*  warning if this journal gets too ponderous.  *("TL;DR" = "too long; didn't read")

6/12/2007 9:54:00 PM
Eh, I'm still in town. The trip might be next week or this week; I just don't know. I am not a big fan of being in limbo, but that's how things are right now. If I do make it to HH this week, I will expect lots of hugs and a few beers. Maybe more than a few.

6/12/2007 5:34:15 AM
I will likely be going out of town tomorrow due to a family emergency. If you don't hear from me, that's why. If you have my gmail addy, that's the way to reach me. My phone does not work where I am going (and I hate the phone anyway, as I spend all damn day on it dealing with doctors and hospitals and lawyers.) Things are bad again, but it's not unexpected. Good thoughts and wishes are appreciated. I can't believe that I am having to go through this again after only four months. Life is truly a bitch sometimes.

6/12/2007 5:30:27 AM
Okay, I've calmed down a bit from Sunday night. It would have been humorous to be able to hear the collective millions of Americans screaming at their televisions during the infamous "blackout" scene, wouldn't it? Intellectually I understand what Chase was trying to do, emotionally I still don't like it and I find it highly unsatisfying. Dammit, when the ancient Greeks invented drama, they set up some rules, and one of the rules is that you have a #$%& ending. Rules are rules, people - I'm not just talking "make things easy and entertaining for people watching television," I'm talking the basic rules of drama.

6/10/2007 8:25:03 PM
Well.....that was disappointing, wasn't it?

(And don't tell me that final scene was shot as Tony's POV, because it wasn't. And the use of "Don't Stop Believing" was a horrible music choice -- and unoriginal, since it was in the pivitol scene from "Monster". Weak sauce, all around! BOOOOO.)

6/9/2007 3:20:52 PM
Tubing today was great, although my shoulders got a bit sunburned. Now I really want to go rafting or canoeing, as I haven't done that in years, and I miss it. The weather was perfect, and so was the water. Tonight I'm relaxing, reading, and trying not to think about tomorrow night's final episode of The Sopranos.

6/8/2007 5:06:26 AM
I don't feel well from the heat. I can't wait to go tubing this weekend. Going to more Shakespeare next week - fortunately this time in an air conditioned theater vs. outside. If I had a swimming pool I would just live in it right now. Ugh.

6/7/2007 4:20:26 AM
Going to try to make it out to my regular HH tonight, but today may overwhelm me. I am so tired, and I haven't seen the gym in a week. I can't wait for the weekend when I get to go tubing. Serenity now!

6/6/2007 5:50:12 AM
A pet peeve of mine: you write me, say you're interested, etc. I visit your profile, and there is not one thing about you! Not what you're looking for, not your interests, your hard limits - nada. I understand why people don't put up pictures, but how on earth is anyone supposed to be interested in you when you list nothing about yourself? I see that "..." when I click on a profile and I think "great, another friggin' enigma sub." Mystery is overrated sometimes, people - throw me a frigging bone here! Okay, enough crankiness from me, now it's time to go to work and be cranky with the general public. Have a good one.

6/5/2007 7:48:44 PM
Went to a local tng happy hour tonight to meet a friend. It was nice, and I got to catch up with a lot of people I haven't seen in some time. The weather was nice enough to sit outside, so overall it was a pleasant evening. Nothing too earth-shatteringly exciting, but what do you want for a Tuesday? Tomorrow is going to be an tough day at work, so I'm going to bed soon. Night!

6/4/2007 8:34:20 PM
Just watched the Sopranos -- I am going to be so upset when it ends next week! All these dead people. It can't be good, that's all I can say. Why Bobby, and not Janis? Why Sil and not Paulie? Ah well. After this it's back to "the Wire" for me, because Lord knows I love Baltimore.  The only other show I really love is "Deadliest Catch";  I truly believe that if I get sick of my current life, I could go work on a crab boat. Never mind I'm a vegetarian - it could happen!

6/3/2007 7:54:44 PM
Okay, okay, okay -- I have no pride. Please go ahead and send me Sopranos spoilers! I won't see it until Tuesday night, and I just can't wait that long. I'm usually patient, but screw that - it's the next to the last one!

6/3/2007 5:59:46 AM
A rainy day, so I'm getting some work done. Saw "Knocked Up" last night; it was very funny. There's a good article in the Post today about Eastern Market and how their vendors are really hurting for business, so if you have nothing to do today, head down there and buy some produce or flowers or something. There's also a huge, huge article about feet in the Style section -- I *know* a lot of you will enjoy that article! Dammit, I need a pedicure.

6/1/2007 9:52:04 PM
Work then gym then out with friends. I didn't plan on tonight being so late, but late it was. Ah, well. I had someone tonight ask me an interesting question:  why I was so guarded with potential relationships. It's something I think about quite a bit. I think having been burned once (and burned badly), I am guarded these days, because I value myself and I am not going to throw myself into anything without being sure that it is right for me. On the plus side, I do think it makes me somewhat more patient with others, in that I know that maybe they feel the same way too. It's not a bad thing to be guarded, sometimes.

6/1/2007 6:10:58 AM
Aaaaand, I get more fan mail: "women on this site are a roal (sic) pain in the ass and you are one of them." - thanks, I love you too! In other news, I had fun at happy hour last night, although a friend spilled an entire glass of soda in my favorite handbag. The bag is bucket shaped, so all the contents of my purse were bobbing around in a little sea of Coke. It was pretty funny looking. Off to work I go, even though it's hot and disgusting out, and I'd rather relax in the air conditioning at home. And certain people should get their ass home from travel already - hee.

5/31/2007 5:42:05 AM
Went to Shakespeare in the Park last night, and it was wonderful (although hot weather-wise.) If you have a chance to go see it, I reccommend it highly. Being that it's Thursday, I'm going to my usual place tonight -- and tonight is a blue moon, so who knows how silly I will get?

5/29/2007 8:06:41 PM
So, I changed my profile. I have been dating a couple of people on a regular basis, and I am going to interview a potential submissive, and so I am going to focus on that for the time being. I will still be around here, goofing on the message boards and chatting with friends, but I'm taking a step back from seeking new people to go out with. Of course, if everything blows up in my face, I could change my mind again, right?

5/27/2007 6:44:43 PM
It's laundry and Sopranos night, yeah baby! I'm catching up on the three episodes I hadn't seen, and doing boring household stuff. This has been a weekend where there has been some begging for attention - but if you did have my attention, what on earth would you do with it?

5/24/2007 10:39:08 PM
It's late, and I'm up listening to Sufjan Stevens cover Tim Buckley ("She Is"), and Jeff Buckley cover Leonard Cohen ("Hallelujah".) And I'm thinking. "As for me, all I've ever seemed to learn from love Is how to shoot at someone who outdrew you." But you don't really care for music, do ya? ;)

5/23/2007 9:32:28 PM
Wow, that last email made me cranky! lol Annoying me is never the winning approach, kids, that's for damn sure. Anyway, tomorrow is Thursday, so I'll be at my magical place at the magical time, having one or two magical beers (gotta forgo the magical Peach Stoli as I have a work event the next day.)

5/23/2007 9:16:33 PM
Now, this is cute: I just got an email from someone, stating "your (sic) on a lot for someone not looking. lol." Now how does one respond to such a charming and scintillating comment? One, I've narrowed my search, but I am not quite done looking yet (although I'll be sure to issue a press release once that magical day arrives.) Two, I have many scene friends here, and we chat and joke around. Three, I post on the message boards here to the topics that interest me. I am both interested and active in my community, both online and in real life. So -- that is why I'm here. If I happen to find someone while I'm here, so much the better, but guess what? I'll still probably babble on here about the dumb stuff in my life, so neener, neener, neener.

5/21/2007 5:10:41 AM
Aaarrrgh! Arrrrgh! Aaaarrrgh! I should have been more specific -- a friend Tivos the Sopranos for me, so I'm an episode or two behind most of you. For the love of Bob, don't send me spoilers, because I have no willpower in that area and I will read them! lol

5/20/2007 3:58:09 PM
I had a really good weekend. The weather was beautiful, and I got to be with a lot of friends. I also caught up with The Sopranos, which I love and can't wait to see how it finishes. I'm doing a lot of thinking these days about what I want, and part of that includes who I want. I need to do more thinking.

5/17/2007 5:35:02 AM
Pop quiz: Where am I going to be tonight? And what am I going to be drinking?

5/16/2007 5:39:43 AM
I haven't written anyone back this week as I'm not feeling very chatty. I'm fine; it's just a particularly challenging time at work, and by the time I get home, I have a glass of wine and then collapse. My inbox at work is full too, if that makes you feel any better. Sometimes I'm just not very communicative. Rare, but it happens.

5/11/2007 5:42:25 AM
Hahahaha. I just realized -- if you see me on the site at 3, 4, 5 in the morning? That means I fell asleep without remembering to log off. Man, I am such a dork sometimes! I wake up and I think "what are all these chat requests?"  Okay, off to work -- going hiking early tomorrow morning, then shopping, then buying some gardenias for remembrance on Mother's Day. It's a Southern thing - heck, I may actually go to church on Sunday, and wear a white flower. Be sure to wish your mom a happy day on Sunday, if you still can.

5/10/2007 5:57:40 AM
Thursday, blah blah blah, usual place, blah blah blah, usual time. I am a creature of habit.

5/9/2007 6:17:33 AM
While I'm recommending movies, another favorite is "Raincoat" (directed by Rituparno Ghosh.) Melancholy, but I love the cinematography -- and the soundtrack is one of my favorites.

5/7/2007 5:55:25 AM
My allergies are now at their worst of the year. I have green stuff running from my nose and eyes. Sexy, huh?

Watched one of my alltime favorite movies last night: "Being There" with Peter Sellers and Shirley Maclaine. If you haven't seen it, do rent it; it's simply wonderful. And I like hearing peoples' views on the scene at the lake (if you've seen the film, you know what I'm talking about.)

5/4/2007 8:48:53 PM
So who ended up catching the absolute last train last night? You know who! It was more from flirting and telling jokes than from drinking, but I am still feeling a bit sleep deprived. Tomorrow I'm having mint juleps with friends and watching the Derby, Sunday is a movie day. Not super exciting (practically vanilla!), but I need a quiet weekend after such a busy week. I do wish there were more play parties coming up, however. Patience is not my strong suit.

5/3/2007 5:20:31 AM
I am going to my usual happy hour tonight, but I will not be there until around 8pm due to a work commitment. And I'm probably not staying very long as my allergies are kind of bad today. Of course, every time I say I'm not staying long, that's the night I'm chasing the last train home on Metro! But no, really, I'm not staying very long. I mean it.

4/30/2007 7:56:54 PM
Short message as I'm exhausted and going to bed. Work - hectic. Family situation - distressing. Personal trainer - hard but fun. Baked Cheetos - guilty pleasure (the small bag.) Sugar Free Red Bull - in my veins instead of plasma. Botox - need it; behind. Hair appointment - need it; behind. Sleep - need it, so I'm going to get some right now.

4/27/2007 6:26:54 AM
Haven't been online in the last few days, as I've been crazy busy (mostly in good ways.) If you've written in the last few days, I will get back to you. I will probably be going out of town for family business next week, so if I go totally silent, it's because of that. Last night's regular event was a blast, and this weekend promises to be too much fun for me to handle. And the personal trainer thing is going well too -- I'm shocked that I enjoy it! Have a great weekend.

4/23/2007 5:01:48 AM
I don't want to go to work today. I truly don't.  But I have fun plans for this evening, so that will carry me through the day.

I got the new NIN cd last week (Trent, if you're on this me? Hahaha.) and I would have to say that my favorite track on it is "In This Twilight."  So, if you have Year Zero and you listen to that song, you'll know exactly what is in my head.

4/22/2007 7:19:52 AM
Last night was a girl's night here at Casa Mistressa.  A friend came over and we did pedicures, waxed our eyebrows, and watched movies together. Unfortunately, I drank both red and white wine and I now have a killer headache! I'm just glad we did our brows before we were too tipsy. Oh, and the movie was "Capote", which is one of my favorites. One of my favorite writers as well, especially the short story "A Christmas Memory."

Okay, now it's off to work out (despite the headache, because I'm hardcore like that) and then later a movie date.  Have a fun Sunday!

4/18/2007 7:58:53 PM
I may actually go to my usual spot late tomorrow night (after 10), depending on how late my work event runs. Of course, I will have my alpha male/major domo with me, so if you do something silly like fall at my feet, he will kick you out of my way so I can get to the bar.  Do not get in the way of me getting a beverage!  In other news, I went to a personal trainer for the first time today, and all I can say is OW. My legs are killing me! I didn't think I was doing a lot, but now I can't move from my chair! But here's the funny thing- he said "you follow instructions really well." Ha!

4/18/2007 4:33:09 AM
Oh my gosh, I think I finally see the sun after about two weeks of rainy and cloudy weather. I want my money back for this spring, as it has been weak! I will not be at my usual stomping grounds this Thursday due to another social event, but by all means go and have one for me -- but don't charge it to my tab!

4/16/2007 5:39:40 AM
Great. I get a day off of work today, and it ends up being windy, rainy and cold out.  I'm still going to bundle up to struggle to the gym and then mail off my taxes (yes, I waited until the last minute - family tradition.) It's still a day off, so it's still good.

4/14/2007 7:37:07 AM
Another busy weekend -- I'm doing the makeup for a friend's wedding party. I did professional makeup for years, so this will be fun.  I'm also cleaning my place -- why am I doing this, when I could have so many people do it for me? Because I have to know you really well before you scrub my tub. I'm funny that way. Hell, most people I won't even let in my apartment!

If you live in the DC area, I recommend you go see Artomatic this weekend or next. If not, I recommend you do something fun this Saturday.

4/9/2007 10:10:31 AM
I'm home from the big event, and I'm exhausted. But - I think it went well. I know I had fun.  It will take me a couple of days to catch up on emails, not to mention sleep. I'm working on it.

4/4/2007 5:06:13 AM
Okay, I'm going off the grid for a few days because of this week's big local scene event (I'm attending and working at it) and because my day job has gotten even crazier than last week. So, I won't be checking in here until probably next Tuesday. If you're holding your breath waiting for me to answer an email, stop that, as you will pass out!  As for my usual Thursday plans (hint, hint), I've got a 50/50 shot of showing up, since I still have to do more work and lighting and stuff for the big event. But damn, I would like a glass of wine!

3/31/2007 11:04:26 AM
Work: still eating my life.
Weather: beautiful. Getting out in it.
Music: Citizen Cope (his first cd.) I love him to pieces. Also J Dilla (RIP) and DJ Earworm.

For those who read my silly entries, if nothing else I'll expand your musical tastes.

3/30/2007 4:21:38 AM
It's truly spring here, and it's beautiful. Met a couple of interesting people from CM last night, and had a lot of fun -- although someone in the crowd managed to spill pasta sauce on the lining of my off-white coat. Damn thing is a stain magnet, anyway. Back to work -- have a great weekend, everyone.

3/28/2007 9:57:40 PM
It's official: work has eaten my entire life this week, not just one day. I will be going to my usual hangout tomorrow (hint, hint), but I'm pretty sure I'll look a fright, as I have to stay up tonight and continue working. So, if you go there, please pull me out of my beer if I take a nap and my head hits the table. I usually try to be more polished, but this week has been tough!

3/27/2007 9:47:09 PM
Got the poem! It's "The Widow's Lament in Springtime," by William Carlos Williams. Thank you very much to a Good Pet for finding it for me, as I was sure to go crazy soon if I couldn't read it.

I love William Carlos Williams.

3/26/2007 8:09:27 PM
Work officially ate my life today, but I will answer my emails either in the morning, or late tomorrow (Tuesday.)

Also - does anyone know the name of a William Carlos Williams poem that has to do with falling down in a bunch of spring blooms and dying? Or seeing clouds of cherry blossoms and wanting to lie down and die right there? Bonus points if anyone knows what the heck I am grasping for here. This is driving me crazy.

Anyway, goodnight!

3/24/2007 8:31:03 PM
It's been a long but good weekend, and tomorrow I turn 44 (wow.) I got some very good but challenging news today concerning my work, so I'll probably be even more slow on my emails. Trust me -- it's for a good cause!

3/23/2007 3:25:13 AM
My favorite flowers in the world are daffodils, and they are starting to pop up everywhere. It's a real struggle for me not to swipe them out of peoples' yards - so instead, I buy them from the homeless guys near the Metro, who probably steal them from your yards.

Sorry about that.

3/22/2007 5:39:40 AM
The place I usually go on Thursday nights? I'm going there this evening. Hint, hint.

3/21/2007 4:57:22 AM
If you listen to Amy Winehouse and crack open a bottle of wine while listening to her and answering your emails? You are going to  wake up with a red wine headache, guaranteed. I do recommend her cd though -- she's great.

3/20/2007 10:03:39 PM
About me and the phone -- I've had many, many people ask me to talk on the phone. I understand, but you know what? I associate the phone with bad news (my mom's death, my dad hospitalization, etc.) So - if I don't seem thrilled to get on the horn, please undertand that recently the phone has not been my friend, okay? Besides, I am not here to fulfill your path to happiness; I am here to blaze my path. If you get happen to get happy in the process, then that is a bonus, right?

3/19/2007 9:23:16 PM
So...I changed my profile a bit to update where I currently am in my life. I've given myself a few months to get over my previous l/t relationship, and now I'm ready to move on with things. See how this goes, right?

And then I get 27 emails in a single day. Holy crap!

It's sort of flattering, but it's hard to keep up. So - thank you everyone, and I'll write back as quickly as I can.  Don't bitch - I'm trying to avoid carpal tunnel syndrome!

3/17/2007 5:57:55 AM
My birthday is next weekend, so Happy Birthday to me! WOOT! I am starting the celebration early this year.

And no, I don't want any birthday spankings. Get your mind out of the gutter, people.  If you would like to Fedex some cupcakes to me, that is another matter!

3/14/2007 7:00:33 PM
Work has been kicking my ass more than usual these days, so if I don't answer you promptly, that's  the reason.

3/7/2007 4:33:28 AM
I'll admit it: I am completely addicted to checking the 'Who's Viewing Me' section of the site. I don't know if it's raging ego or voyeurism, but it's fun.

3/5/2007 7:16:27 PM
If you're going to write me, please say more than just 'hello', and include a picture of your face. Not your crotch, your face. Smiling is good. Happiness is good.

Tell me something interesting about yourself. Oh, and male or female, you get bonus points if you're a Sufjan Stevens fan. I'm just sayin'.

2/25/2007 9:55:59 AM
It's snowing here today, and it's quite beautiful. That's all!

2/25/2007 5:21:44 AM
Unbelievable. I have another cold. I should own stock in Dayquil and Zicam.

2/24/2007 2:18:50 PM
For men who write me: did you read my profile? Yes, no, maybe? If I am interested in you, I will contact you, not the other way around.  It's quite simple, really.

2/13/2007 6:03:53 PM
Got back home this week; thank you everyone for your emails and good thoughts. Things were better than expected, overall, and for that I am glad.

I have a metric ton of email, so if you wrote me I will get back to you. I'm typing as fast as I can, and I'm pretty tired! lol

2/6/2007 5:36:58 AM
I am going out of town due to a family emergency. I will hopefully return in a week or so, but I can't be sure. I will answer emails when I return.

2/3/2007 1:09:53 PM
It is amazing to see how many people either didn't fully read my profile, or who just want something so badly that they can't follow directions.

Reading is fundamental, people!

1/31/2007 12:39:41 AM
If you aren't cheering for the Colts this Sunday, I don't want to hear from you. It's a hard limit, people!

Also, if you have hardcore Clara Barton fantasies or some kind of disturbing mucus fetish, you should have been at my house this week, as I have the cold from hell. It's not pretty.
