Presenting oneself to the world is always so difficult. What do you let them see? Which pieces do you want to give teasing glimpses of to catch the eye? Which ones do you hide away until you know someone better?

The easy part: I’m a poly, pagan, heteroflexible geek (of several varieties) that switches.

Polyamorous: College was apparently an eye opening event for me and turned my life upside down. I discovered that the little world of expectation that I’d grown up with in the central Midwest was a bit larger and more complex than I’d thought. That love is far more than just which one single person you’re going spend your life with in the little house with the white picket fence. It’s often messy and grandiose and happens with more than one person at a given time. That it’s ok to love and be loved and share with more than one of those people. I’ve been blessed time and again over the years with friends and lovers who share that outlook.

Pagan: Mostly of the religious witchcraft bent. I’m an early member of a home grown tradition that based itself originally off of the writings of pagan authors like Gardner, Valiente, Evan Jones, Victor Anderson and the like. We voraciously read all that we could find and used it as models to figure out our own system of belief, structure, and practice. Each of my tradmates and initiates has added their own particular knowledge and flavor, and so we go on, treading on the borders and meeting at the threshold.

Heteroflexible: I don’t rule out relationships with other women. It takes special ones to catch my eye, though. Only a few have done it. All I still call friends.

Geek: Gamer girl and tech geek. That’s me. My largest time waster hobby is World of Warcraft. Ex-moderately hardcore raider. I’m learning to enjoy the game all over again in different ways since retiring my raiding character. I spend time in Second Life to keep up with friends and loved ones and because of the infinite imagination that comes into play with the characters I have there.

Switch: This is probably the newest phase of myself. I’ve spent most of my time in the various kink communities as a submissive. Gorean lifestyle, 24/7, M/s, D/s…all of it was from the bottom end of the spectrum. 5 or 6 years ago, though, I started meeting people that allowed me to stretch out the parts of me that, previously, I’d had to ignore or actively suppress. These days I’m far more comfortable with the idea of really being a switch, in no small part due to the support of close friends and the welcoming affection of PBC. He who lets me stretch and control and take the dominant role when I am feeling secure enough to do so and who lets me run free and wild while still allowing me to come home as his pet.

The Miscellaneous:

I’m an aspiring author, love good food (both preparing and consuming), have several pets, and live on my own.
