I often hear and read about how many fakes there are here. Heck, I have come across more than my fair share.
Yesterday I was reading "SpotTheTrickster's" profile and came across something that is not only increadibly useful, but blew my mind when I tested it out.
I was already a fan of Google, so it didnt take much to get me to try it.
First, I found a random profile that looked legit. Profile pics were of a clothed person, description was simple and believable, profile had 4-5 "friends".
Next, I right clicked on one of the profile pics and saved it to my desktop.
Then, I opened another browser page to the address https://images.google.com
. This brought up a Google search page with a little camera icon in the right hand side of the search box.
I clicked on the camera icon which brought up more detailed search options.
I selected "Upload an image", then the Browse button.
From there I selected the picture I had saved to my desktop.
The page came up with, and Im not kidding, HUNDREDS of matches of that photo! Some were explicit. Others were profiles on other sites, all of which had different names and personal details.
HOLY CRAP!
Yes, I realize this could be the same person and actually be their photos, but ...
Anyway.
My point is, here is another useful tool to help you protect yourself from those who might do you harm, physically or emotionally. |
