I've always been drawn to kink and D/s, but I have little experience in actually practicing it. That's something I'd be interested in changing, but I'm not one for big scene parties. I'd prefer to explore in a one on one type setting with someone special.
There's a lot in this lifestyle that does not interest me at all (pain, for instance). I'm not into overt physical domination. I prefer a more sensual approach. I don't like hurting or harming people, physically, psychologically, or emotionally. I like to make people laugh (as you might imagine from the name, I am an actual stand up comedian (with a day job (who enjoys nesting parentheses))). I'm looking for an intimate and loving relationship that happens to involve a healthy amount of kink and D/s. I think "intimate" is the operative word there. I think that's what draws me to D/s. It creates a level of trust and intimacy and honesty that is unsurpassed by most conventional relationships.
But that's long term. I'm open to some fun in the meantime. You know, to initiate myself to the lifestyle. Purely in the interest of science, of course ;)
