| I may look kind and gentle, with a sweet demeanor and a drawing smile and laugh, but when I'm in "safe space" or the leather community calls it "leather space" I am stern, patient, and over everything I demand the respect of those that are around me. I am Not leather, although I respect their practices and have adopted many into my own lifestyle.
Punishment isn't a slap on the hand and sending someone to bed without supper or play, punishment doesn't exist in my world. Either you Want to submit, or you don't. If you Want to submit but don't feel like you know how to serve properly, then it is My responsibility to teach you, until you understand, and can serve properly. I expect that if I teach you something and you have learned it but don't follow the practices that I expect from you, then either you are rebelling, and so you are just in it to role play (and that isn't something I am interested in) or you need to have more practice and I am always willing to continue to help someone learn and grow.
As a member of the community, when I see a submissive or bottom being Rude by interrupting when a conversation is in progress it shows me that they are poorly trained, and have very little social graces, it Isn't a sign that they are "Alpha submissive" because in that regard to me, Alpha and submissive are contradictory in nature but further on that topic, even if such a thing were to exist in my vocabulary by demonstrating poor social protocol how are they demonstrating that they are a higher class of submissive?
On the same topic, when a Master, Mistress, Sir, Top... and so forth demonstrates those same atributes and thinks it's alright because they are "Dominant" they have Also lost several points of respect in my opinion. How is a submissive to learn when their Dominant is behaving in such poor form, and when a submissive acts out and is then punished after watching their Dominant acting poorly as well, it demonstrates very poor form.
For me this is a lifestyle, from when I get dressed every morning to when I put my head on the pillow every night I live my life with the highest expectations not only for my Own actions but those that I surround myself with. I like to drink and eat out socially, I am not extraordinarily charismatic but I have a flair for enjoying the things that happen around me, and the people who stick around. I am not perfect, and I never wish to be, it's the imperfections that make the adventure that is life so enjoyable.

I honestly haven't played for a while, it bothers me sometimes when I go to meet and greets and introduce myself as a switch but then proceed to ignore the blatant opportunities that knock on my door. I'm not picky, I just don't find that I Need to submit to just anyone, and when it comes to Topping I have been bored with what is really offered. I love my life, it's pretty fantastic, just kinda bored of the fact that I have landed myself into the vanilla pile again. |
