| I am new to the community, with little to no experience. At this time, I am most interested in learning how others live out their appreciation of the lifestyle, whether that means a true 24/7 version of a d/s relationship, or as more of an accessory to their interests.
Personally, I am not interested in TPE or humiliation, but I might contact a dom/domme or sub to discuss what they like or don't like about these aspects of the lifestyle.
I am rather old fashioned, and do not think I could divorce the concepts of a d/s relationship from a "normal" relationship, but that is one of the aspects I am searching a deeper understanding of. I believe that any relationship is based on mutual trust and understanding. Looking from the outside, I am starting with the view of even though there is a dominate and submissive or slave and master, neither is more powerful than the other, because the sub/slave holds power in offering their service to the person of their choice; and although the dom/master has the "power", they also have the responsibility of serving that sub/slave within their expectations of the relationship.
I tend to ramble on these things, so I will stop here.
