Profile recently retooled after reading several profiles.

A bit about me: The "intellectual" isn't really meant to describe me so much as the type of Dominant that I consider myself to be. Inasmuch as I like domination, it is not exclusively for me about the pain and physical punishment, though those are certainly attractive elements. But to me there is an emotional side not to be forgotten, an intellectual side. This doesn't mean a lot of head games and emotional wounding, but a general exploration vis a vis the submissive's psyche as well as my own.

That said, I am new to the lifestyle and the scene. I am fortunate enough to have an exceptionally good friend who has a dominant husband. I am learning a good deal through the both of them. Things that work for me, things that don't work for me. What I want and expect out of a submissive, what I want and expect out of a submissive relationship, etc.

I am a young, normal looking and behaving professional in the metropolitan D.C. area. I have no tattoos or piercings, do not wear leather in my daily life and have no interest in it. A little bit your average Joe, though that changes considerably when behind closed doors.

What am I looking for? Well, a submissive of course. Ideally, she will be articulate, conversant, relatively new to the scene, open-minded and capable of expressing her own desires and wishes. Obsequious slavery, while having its place, bears no great attraction to me on a day-to-day basis. A strong willed woman is far more attractive. Who doesn't want a challenge, right?

This is not a joke. I am not playing around and I am not surfing for cybersex, one night stands. I am at this point simply interested in meeting and talking to people. I want to learn more about the scene while I explore in the flesh with my friends.

So, feel free to write if what I have had to say is attractive or interesting to you. People that take themselves too seriously, though, needn't apply. Life is short and should be fun.
