I realize that this box is somewhat important to introduce myself to the rest of collarspace. However, that does not mean that I have to like. I have never been a fan of talking about myself. Hillam is my last name, my first name, for the moment, is inconsequential. I am 48, male, and dominant. There now that we have the basics out of the way time to get to the meat of it all. I believe that being dominant, or submissive for that matter, is a state of mind. It is not a sex act, it is not a game, and it is not a role. It is a state of being. I also believe that a dominant should always conduct oneself as a Gentleman or Lady.
Which has lead others to ask me...how I could call myself a Gentleman if I was in the BDSM lifestyle? Doesn't everyone in that lifestyle treats women like objects? The short answer to that foolish question is no. I see attributes I think would make for the right balance to actually make a Dominant…also a Gentleman.
The key factor in all relationship…is pretty basic…you need to show respect to each other. A dominant shows this simple courtesy to whomever he interacts with regardless of background or circumstances. I try to act with honour and integrity not just with women I know but with everyone. I will compliment you when you have done something exceptional and worth noting..not hollow praise but heartfelt words that carry meaning.
I try not to look for the worse in others, I look for attributes of success and is positive about life, my world, and your place in my world. It will be my goal to empower you to become a better you. I don't think that I have nothing more to learn but I am in a constant search to expand his understanding of life, BDSM and the delicate precious creature called the submissive woman. Finally I do not take himself too seriously because I understand I need a sense of humour to survive.
