I have been in the lifestyle for 12 years and have found that I am losing interest in any relationships that don't have a D/s aspect to them. I love to put my sub in subspace and help her push those limits which she is trying to expand.
As a Dom, I believe in old fashioned ideas like opening a door for a lady and planning our time together, A Dom must always have the utmost respect and adoration for their sub, even as you have her on her knees and are calling her a whore.
Ideally I would love to find a sub who is very serious about play and who loves the idea of a 4 hour play session. Given the right sub I would like to live the lifestyle 24 7.
