Most of what you might want to know is on my profile: http://.com/users/98190 ...but I'll copy some of the important bits (hmm, it all seems to be important bits) here. Mainly interested in just getting to know some cool people for play, learning, drinking, geek-fests...nerds especially. I've been wanting to get into a regular D&D game somewhere. I spend a fair bit of time playing music in local community brass and concert bands and occasional jazz jams, which between them take car of most of my drinking requirements ^_^ <srs-bsns>
I'm not on any kind of "journey" with kink, though there is stuff to learn. I see nothing spiritual about what I do, I'm out for physical and emotional enjoyment. Protocols dictate how my computer connects to the net, not how I interact with people. Hierarchies are there to be overturned or bypassed. I laugh at the king who wakes up to find himself an empty figurehead, I laugh at the self-proclaimed power that is followed by no one. I run with the quiet rebellion that you never see coming. "We've been pulling out the nails that hold up everything you've known."
</srs-bsns> I'm a complete nerd. The kind of nerd that's both shy and socially inept (I'm starting to wonder about social anxiety disorder, but then I'm no psychologist). I'm much happier discussing the implications of Young's double slit experiment or World of Warcraft mechanics than I am talking about any local sports team. Did I mention shy? If I don't have some sort of back up person with me that I know and trust, then I sometimes just can't handle unfamiliar social situations. If you've seen me around but I appeared stand-offish or particularly silent, that's what it is. I'm not intentionally rude (mostly, but some people just bug me)... Sorry, no face or body pics there either, I'm not entirely comfortable broadcasting my identity around here at the moment.
