Sometimes I write something and decide that I need to post it here, such is the case with this:

To be Gorean is not to be from the fictional world. To be Gorean is not, to follow the customs of the fictional storyline. To be Gorean is not even to own a consensual slave. To be Gorean is to follow the Philosophies of the Ancients, the genetic predispositions of the Human Race, to temper those predispositions with a code that embodies Honor, Integrity Responsibility and Courage.

If you wish to add whatever legal and practical customs and rituals from the fictional series you wish, then fine, have at it.....but that is not what "Gorean" means. Soooo...."This is Earth, not Gor" should mean "Be smart, be safe, be legal, be consensual in your practice....but the most important thing is, follow the philosophies" THEN, you are Gorean.

A quick thought before I head out to work.

"WE" are intense.

We Goreans live and love intensely. Most people, those we call "vanilla", but also those who keep their fantasies and kink in the bedroom rather than fully integrated into their larger relationship, may not be able to handle the intensity of not role play, but everyday Gorean cultural life and relationship. A Gorean Master nurtures, builds up, instructs, punishes, rewards, cuddles, spanks, humbles, exalts, BUT MOST ALL.....He INVESTS! He invest his full attention, his time, his money and his future in his slave. Half assed is a hard thing for a Gorean Master to do.

He FULLY ENGAGES. This is something that the 21st Century American female is not familiar with. She is used to the lazy, shiftless or confused men who bow and scrape to try to get her panties down, and then rob her blind of whatever they can take off with to hit the next feminist princess.

Free and kajirae! It is no wonder that the newbie to Gor is blown away at first, enthralled (sometimes literally smile emoticon ), but then often RUNS SCARED from the intensity and fullness of relationship they have now encountered. OH GODS! He WANTS me....HE SEES Me, not just what I will to throw his way, but he KNOWS me as a WOMAN! Gorean Masters know what a woman is and we want her ALL. What she IS and her POTENTIAL as well. Her potential is what we make it and we DO MAKE IT.

It is frustrating to show a woman the heights and depths of her feelings and see her squirm in the throes of her womanhood under your touch, under your body, and then you get the sudden hurried escape. The run for her life back to the black and white of the sniveling earth boys ready to beg for her favors and rob her of her earnings.

The Gorean Master sees his girl in her totality. He seeks to show her her present lusciousness and then build her to her great potential, and this is not just in sex. It is in education, skills, work if she desires, hobbies, he is there for her and wants her to see life from the top of the mountain that is her ability.

This loving ownership, is what she gets from what the vanillas see as a one way Master/chattel union based on abuse and the woman's low self esteem. Friends, some of the strongest women I ever in my life met were Gorean kajirae. And they were some of the most fulfilled, because not only were they confident in there abilities, but they had a man that nurtured those abilities, not being threatened but exalting and proud in her accomplishments.

THAT is the Gorean Male....AND He's not afraid to roll over in the morning and show her that she is a TRUE WOMAN and the object of his burning passion.
Sorry for the rant...just a thought I had while prepping for my day.
