I work as a business consultant throughout New Jersey which is a job as strange and vague in tasks as it is in name. It is also very demanding which places substantial limits on my time. In my free time, I often feel the need to "crash" for a bit before I'm prepared to get back out into the world again. This has lent itself to a strong leaning towards media. I used to read books through my classes instead of pay attention and I still enjoy books when I can find the time. I also enjoy movies a lot and can get as deeply pulled into a decent story that way as I can with a book - though, obviously, not for as long. I usually enjoy hanging out with people in quieter social settings - bars, restaurants, etc. It makes it easier to focus on the people I'm with and their own stories.

Since it is common for people to talk about how they were first "awakened" to BDSM, I feel it is important to say that I have known I was different my entire life. This has been further solidified through experience. I was very fortunate to start young. After parting ways, my first girlfriend and I were surprised to find out that our kinks were not regarded as "normal" by most people. Since then, I have developed a fondness for some of the harsher sadistic implements and techniques. I won't delve into the specifics of all that, though. Feel free to ask. It might not be as scary as I make it sound. Or... maybe it is. I have been coming to sites like Fetlife, Bondage.com, and other online communities for many years but I also engage in real-life events when possible. I find it very interesting to see what other people are interested in, even if their proclivities do not align with my own. I also enjoy meeting people who appear to have mastered techniques I also enjoy engaging in. I have also "taught" or "demonstrated" a few techniques in the past when asked but I tend to refrain from it. Not because I think that people shouldn't learn it - I'm just not sure I'm the best teacher. I train people for a living but, uh, not how to restrain or beat another living being... I can be shy but don't let that scare you away. I don't bite... Generally speaking.
