Politeness sometimes seems to be a lost art. Which is rather sad, since, I refuse to deal with people who are either rude or stupid. Complete sentences are not a waste of time, they show an ability to communicate properly.
I write well, I speak well, I am a reasonably intelligent adult. I refuse to use copy and paste or some other person's ideas to voice my thoughts. If I have to use another person's words to express myself, then I am not expressing myself, I am only expressing their thoughts.
Taking time to read a profile and journal entry is not a waste of time. Contacting someone totally unsuitable and then waiting for a response is, however, a waste of time.
"Hello" is a greeting not a correspondence.
If all you can say is hello...I could buy a parrot and a dildo and would have no use for you...after all a parrot can be taught more words, but can you?
