I believe that being true to
oneself is an undeniable need and an immeasurable happiness. Having
an outlet for one’s desire is part of what makes life feel complete, and can
infuse all areas of life with vitality and inspiration.
I find societies’ negative
perceptions of what we do ironic, considering the profound freedom and
innocence in our play. In our context, power exchange is a ritual of
trust, connection, and pleasure. When done in a consensual and connected
way, power exchange is life affirming and deeply expressive of our
humanity.
I believe professional
domination requires expertise, responsibility, creativity and compassion.
I view dominance and
submission as a creative medium that engages all of the senses and draws on
many elements of the arts. What we do is laden with symbolism and
enriched by theater, dialog, visual aesthetics, and movement. Like all
other art forms, ours contains potential for beauty and meaning.
Both domination and submission
rely on mutual responsibility and consent. Submission is not a state of
actual helplessness or degradation, but an experience of empowered surrender.
The dominance I hold is
neither selfish nor selfless. My power is ultimately that of benevolent
authority in service of shared happiness.
While power exchange has the
potential to be a profound experience, it also has the potential for
lighthearted fun. This is worthwhile in and of itself.
In fulfilling my role with
skill, creativity, and heart, I create a space that is not only liberating and
fulfilling for my subjects, but also for myself. I am fortunate to enjoy
a life of freedom, adventure, and meaningful contributions to the lives of
others.Toward all of these ends, I
have developed a unique and evolved practice that reflects my passion for the
art of domination.
