Who I am: Boston area Dominant male not participating in the local "scene", both for personal preference and career considerations. Independent IT consultant, primarily in network security and software design.
What I'm looking for here: Discussion of BDSM philosophy. Mostly I'm curious to get a look at how other power/control exchange relationships function, having reached a point where I understand what -my- motivation is for the choice. Long term, I would like to meet other peers in the lifestyle for conversation.
What I'm NOT looking for: Sexual encounters or BDSM gatherings. I'm not interested in casual relations with submissives for BDSM "play". I enjoy speaking with subs/slaves as much as with Dominants, however I am interested in points of view and shared wisdom, not sex.
Interests: Technology. Culture (mostly oriental). Mind/Body Fitness. Music (primarily Industrial and other Electronic) appreciation and performance (I havn't touched turntables in a few years, however). Literature and Film. Politics. Travel.
Etc: In addition to my work, which consumes a large part of my life, I write for an electronic magazine with a strong anti-popular-culture bent, and coordinate a project in the city of Boston refurbishing computer hardware for donation to homeless families getting back on their feet via the Homeless Empowerment Project. We're also currently looking to find more technically inclined persons willing to teach an occasional class at shelters.
