It wasn't the best situation, but I survived. And when I left, I made a concerted effort to teach myself the social skills I'd missed out on.

And, while I made a bit of progress, I didn't quite get the results I expected: I'm still horrible at small talk, still uncomfortable in public, still avoid social settings. But somewhere along the way, I've learned a bit about how to read people, and I'd like to hone this skill. Books can only give me a foundation, so I'll post this in hopes that I'll encounter a few people willing to give me some hints or a bit of advice.

Sirs, a moment of your time, please. For all of you who have offered to teach me the finer points of BDSM, thank you. However, if you'll take a moment to reread the profile you'll find that what I desire is training on how to interact with people. My logic was this: to be a good Dom, one must also be skilled at reading people, ergo, who better to teach me to be a proper, cultured, confident lady than a Dom.
