I tend towards not being 100 percent definite on lots of things. I have sneaky reservations about some aspects of gay marriage. I do not entirely believe the church is entirely evil, or that rope is entirely boring. Not only as a man do I have some thoughts on abortion, but some of them are not entirely in agreement with pro-choice advocates. Gender issues confuse me, but I don't care enough about them to bother learning more. Seeing someone being slapped in the face really really bugs the shit out of me.
Being kinky does not exclude you from being a complete asshole, and it definitely doesn't exclude me from acting like one. Spelling and punctuation matter and your attempts to establish superiority through them is lame.
I do not give a fundamental fuck about some person on the other side of the world having a crap day and posting about it on the internet, even if that person does have nice tits. I have never met a 'mentor' who was not an insecure wanker. Old guard is old hat and proof that we are capable of learning or at least getting bored of crap.

Well - the perfect week in terms of perving! Not only did we have
the mini-munch on Tuesday, but this Saturday we have Nimhneach to look
forward to!
Mini-munch was verra well attended. My own guilty secret has been my
non-attendance at a mini-munch for a loooong time. In my defence I can
only cite the shittiness of
a) Tuesdays in general, awful bloody days, just after getting
mondays out of the way and along comes Tuesday and bitch slaps you with
its not-quite-the-middle-of-the-week, so don't even think of getting
your hopes up for the weekend
b) Wet rainy Irish winter evenings. They just suck the fecking joy out
of everything. Cept that this Tuesday was glorious in its sunshine, its
lack of rain, drizzle and general greyness.
So about 16 folks turned up to the munch. The good, the bad and the
ugly (that last one would be moi). I was late for the meet and greet,
but one of my fellow mods had the decency to be on time, and was
utterly shocked that I was there at all, so no harm done! Anyways, met
a few very decent, sensible and all round nice new people to munches.
Pint was had with most pleasant 'meet n greet' conversation - all very
good and a nice start to the evening.
Piled across to munch pub, which had that nice mid-week feel to it.
You know that one where everyone feels slightly guilty to be out in the
middle of the week, but has had a 'ahh fuck it' moment and decided to
get a few pints in anyways? And mid-week-ahh-fuck-it-pinters are the
best sort in my opinion. No messing, no loud voices, just the sound of
sensible slurping of alcohol.
Conversation at munch lapsed into fetish and pervery more often than
not, but was also accompanied by every and any other topic as usual.
There was more than a few familiar faces, some of whom I had not seen
in far too long, others who I have met recently and then the
(unfortunately large) usual cadre of people whose name I actually know
by now, but those self same damn names promptly fly out of my head as
soon as I actually meet them....
Anyways was a damn fine munch and won't leave it so long till I

So onto Nimhneach. There are rumours afoot that the vacbed will be
making a welcome return. Also the music list is being widely discussed.
Which kinda leaves me a bit bewildered as I have the same recall for
song names that a I have for peoples names and also when I actually am
at Nimhneach the last damn thing on my mind is what music is playing.
About the only time that I realise what music is playing anywhere is
Xmas when every shop has those goddammawful xmasy jingles, I dunno if
that makes me sound even more grumpy than most of you already think I
am, but if so, then so be it. I am NOT apologising for hating them
xmasy shite songs.
From what I have heard a few people that I generally say hello to
and actually talk with at Nimhneach will not be in attendance due to
exams. You have my condolences for the time being however I will send
each and every one of you an email on Sunday that will be full of
glooatingly good tales of the night, just to make sure ye are as
miserable as ye should be around exam time!

Well - the big freeze is here. And it's coooold. Next weeks sat munch is cancelled due to no mods being available, it being valentines night and whatnot.
The whatnot includes a bit of consolation as Nimhneach is on! I dunno if big freezes and rubber make a good match, but reckon might find out! Other whatnots include a private party being organised by Hysteria, not too sure on the details of this, but some information available on their site.
The bdsm-ireland board has been ticking over nicely, some interesting debates and everyone being all polite to each other. I have to admit - people having interesting debates and being nice to each other is remarkably rare!!

Hard to believe that another Nimhneach is on next weekend (actually harder to believe that it is actually sunny at the moment...what the hell is the country coming to? I blame this recession thing, coupled with the Lisbon thing, coupled with global warming).

Yet another update - my dedication to this journal knows no bounds!
Interesting news - bdsmireland.org is now up and running. It is currently more or less acting as a gateway to the bdsmireland yahoo group. There are a few articles, links etc that people might find interesting on it, and hopefully we will get more up on it soon.
Other interesting news is Nimhneach has had to change venues as Voodoo is no longer available to us. Kinda saddened by this, as I thought Voodoo was a pretty good venue and treated us all quite well. For updates on this keep an eye on Nimhneach.ie
If you were at the last one, I was the guy on the door (for a while,
no-one would trust me in a position of any responsibility for too
long...). It was a cracking night as usual, my eyes were pretty much
falling out of my head such were the displays of delightfully perverted
costumes. In between my oogling I even managed some conversations,
which is a clear indication to me that I had no-where near enough to
drink...

I have not personally met the organisers (far as I know...in fact I may well have met them at a munch, but I truuuly suck at remembering people from munches...) What I do know is that they are a well respected group of nut jobs here in the Irish scene! So best of luck to them all, I fully intend to support them by pitching up on the night, hope you do as well.
Other stuff....well this new 'friends' function on collarme is kinda cool. I have a grand total of 5 rather cute women on mine! Which means either I am a lucky pric or they have no taste in men. Been neglecting this journal thingy again, also still flaffing about in terms of updating my profile...easier of the two is probably to have a go at this journal.
New things - wet weather!! Ireland is back to grey dismal horrible weather. Not even August yet and I have given up all hope of seeing sun.
Worst thing is when someone sends me a mail moaning about how hot it is wherever they are...here's a hint - I get insanely, pathologically jealous when you send me these mails and its likely to trigger random acts of violence, such as throwing monitor out the window!!

Well time to update this thing again I guess. So went to the last weekend munch here in Dublin, it was, as usual a bit of a laugh. Pretty much the usual gang, with one or two, and interesting new faces.
As usual suspect most people drank too much, I sure did heh heh.
In terms of things on this site, its gone all quiet! Maybe this is a summer thing, everyone off sunning themselves! Personally not a huge fan of sun worshipping, how boring is just lying like some great big vegetable 'soaking up the rays'?
Still waiting for notice of a Galway munch, though do believe one is occuring down in Limerick soon. Might actually head down to that one, any excuse to get out of smelly summery Dublin!
Went on a mad bender of a morning in terms of ranting on the Message Boards here a few weeks ago, not sure how many people I managed to piss off...but not to worry.
Other interesting tit-bits - growing paranoia about sooo many of the profiles here. I do know that a few of them are for real as I have met the people behind them in r/l, but at a guess I think that 50 percent are utter muck.

Have tried to at least scan the boards, and even have made a few posts. Couple of observations:
