| For me, being a Dom comes from within. Its not a role I play and its certainly not a fantasy. Its real, its natural and its an integral part of who I am.
But while I am confident and comfortable knowing that I am Dom, I also think it important to stress that there is much more to me than just being a Dom. I am a fully rounded 3 dimensional human being that just happens to be a Dom. Sure, I love many aspects of Ds (as can be seen from my list of interests), but I also have a passion for photography, the country air and constantly challenging myself. For example, I am always signing up for night classes as I love to learn (recently I have taken classes in philosophy, welsh and photography - but not all at the same time!) and love just wandering around London, enjoying the bars and cafes and strolling around the galleries and museums. And being a country guy at heart, I love to escape Zone 2 to enjoy long walks, great views and cosy country pubs.
As for Ds, I believe the most important aspect is the mental side - where a sub feels she has gifted control and feels at the Dom's mercy. Chains and cuffs can restrain the body, but without getting into a sub's mind, the Dom can never truly have control. Although of course I do love chains and cuffs as well, and I have a particular interest in total sensory deprivation, where a sub experiences a variety of sensations, but doesn't know where or what or when the next touch will be. I love to be cruel:)
So what am I looking for? Well, a sub - but a sub who knows that she is a sub, who knows that her submission is a wonderful gift to give, and who wants to strive to be the best she can be as a sub. A sub who wants to learn and develop and grow with a Dom. But I also want much more than just a sub. I believe that Ds should be the foundations of a full relationship....where the woman isn't just the sub, but the lover, partner and friend. A relationship where fun and laughter exists as well as screams and squeals, and where delicate lace lingerie is just as important as the blindfold.
