I'm a sensualist, one might even say a hedonist. I don't think I'm particularly cruel, although I've been called a psychological sadist by a sadistic leather top of my acquaintance. Of course, he considers punning to be non-consensual sadism, so perhaps that should be taken with a grain of salt ;-). I love petting, teasing and tormenting my playthings, with a little pain thrown in for spice. A little pain might consist of pinching, hair pulling, spanking, paddling, biting, scratching, etc. I've been known to cause light bruising, but generally don't cause large amounts of bruising, deep bruising or draw blood. Responsive subs inspire me, both when responding to pleasure and to pain, so I have drawn blood with my fingernails on a particular bottom who was displaying an extremely positive reaction to a lesser and gradually increasing level of scratching (gradually increasing pressure while raking my nails down his back). A comment on knife play. The observant amongst you may have noticed that I marked that activity as "I love it", yet above I say that I rarely draw blood when I play. Both are true. I love knife play for the trust demonstrated by the sub in allowing me (yes "allowing" if they think I would permanently damage them, any healthy minded individual would be out the door) to play a sharp blade around his body. I'm not into blood play and knife play isn't about cutting for me. Also, it isn't a make or break deal if this is a hard limit for someone. The best way I can describe it is to say that it's almost a ritual way for a sub to demonstrate that they trust me with their life, and they know at some fundamental level that I won't betray that trust. It's also a way for me to demonstrate that I'll take care to be true to that trust. Frankly, trust is one of my biggest turn-ons, possibly even at the top of the list of turn-ons.
The reason for the "eventually" in the first paragraph is because I am currently both a student and working full time, so I don't have the time I feel is necessary to devote to a relationship. That said I would be interested in communicating with those with compatible interests as my time permits. Frankly, a relationship that isn't based in friendship isn't worth having and I'd be perfectly willing to garner a few friends who may remain as only friends or develop into something more.
