I hear the term 'power' used quite often; especially within D/S and the 'power dynamic'. I've come to find that I define the word differently than others. Much differently than other dom/dommes that I have the pleasure of conversing with.
My power does not come from my power over another, it does not come from the ability to make or keep things from happening in the greater world; my power comes from my control over myself. The ability to put my mind to creating and producing. This realization lead me to another realization; I do not wish to 'own' another. I wish to have another to inspire and challenge. The words sound cliche; but the truth is not.
