I haven't written in quite a while. kyss and I have become more active in our local BDSM community and I have made friends with some really wonderful folks. I have attended a number of Domme/Dom roundtable dinner events (no submissives allowed), as well as a few of the Allentown Area munches, and we have played at a local dungeon a couple of times.
We are planning to scene again next weekend at a resort in the Poconos along with our new friends. I am looking forward to a fun evening as we will be dressed in costume...I as Mr Shivers and her as a little blue fairy girl.
In just these short months I have been able to swing my floggers again and it feels good to get that release and to take her into subspace. she wants more too...and I may let one of our Domme friends flog her as well.
In November we will be spending the weekend at Brimstone. What a wild time we hope to have there! We have reserved a room at the hotel and the entire hotel has been booked out for the event. Saw Renaissance in concert tonight at Tarrytown Music Hall in New York. It took 3-1/2 hours to get there from Pennsylvania due to NJDOT patching a 20x20'section on 287N that backed up traffic 15 miles. So we missed our dinner reservation and half of the opening act, Steve Hackett (of Genesis). Then on the way back, NJDOT had 2 lanes of I-80W closed, turning a major highway into a one lane road, adding one more traffic jam to our evening. When we got home, I took one step into the house and all the power in the town blacked out. Turned back on again in a few minutes, but it was a fitting ending to a difficult evening.
However, Renaissance still performs with passion and beauty. Mother Russia was as good as I've ever heard it. And I've heard it in the 70's when they were at the peak of their career. Kudos to singer Annie Haslam for singing like a lark and hitting that soprano hi-c on Ashes are Burning.
But was the concert worth the traffic nightmares? Sorry, but no concert is worth such torture.
