I was first "exposed" to the world of BDSM a number of years ago by accident while working in the area of law enforcement/ corrections. And, no it wasn't while "on the job" LOL. Working in that area, you rely on structure, discipline, repetition, and trust to do your job efficiently. A motto I live by now that my Sgt taught me while working in the jail there was you have to be Firm, Fair, and Consistent. Firm doesn't mean relentless or a hard ass. It means understanding the circumstances and going with them, but having a backbone and standing up when the time calls for it. My first experience was with a woman who was a sub even though she had never used any terms and I had never heard of BDSM. We were playing and kissing and my hand got caught in her hair by accident..... first experience, turn on. I have always been a Dom internally because I have always had the take charge, not wait around type. I am also a Daddy type but just didn't know the name for it. I am the oldest of 3 boys, and fiercely protective of my friends and family (found out a female friend was being abused once and stopped that real quick and helped her) , and loyal to a fault probably. But I'm better than a St. Bernard LOL.
I will help those that are close to me at the drop of a hat. Skills I have learned: patience, communication is essential between people, listening is paramount over action...you have 2 ears and one mouth for a reason.
