Back here after a few years away from everything. I can no more be defined by my involvement in D/s than my interest in art or music - it's a part of the total package. However, it is in my nature to take the lead in my work life and my social life, and this has almost naturally spilled into my sex life too. While I have no desire to be a 24-7 lifestyler, I've made some good friends though my 'interest' who have become just that - friends with whom I share an interest, regardless of which side of the riding crop they find themselves on. From this we've discovered that we share other interests - and that's how real friendships develop. One warning, however. I did not initially look back on my break from D/s as a waste, as I was happy with the choices I had made and the person I had chosen to be with. However, I have come to learn that fundamental honesty was not a part of my last relationship, and it was the weaker for it. I expect honesty and will offer it unconditionally.
