| Hi! So I figured it was time for an update. I got some good advice about what to put in here and also have had a few good experiences of my own since starting this profile.

what has changed/what's new
My goals:
Outside the lifestyle: My main goal is to graduate and believe me it is not that easy! I should finish this December if I can buckle down and get all my work done! I'm also looking for something to do after graduation and have a few ideas regarding those goals. I'm going to aikido practice regularly again but am not expecting my green belt just yet ^.^ (I had been hoping to get it before I graduate)
Inside the lifestyle: This is harder for me because my main goal is pretty general, to find out more about it. I am hoping to meet people in the local scene and figure out what it's all about. I am also trying to figure out what kind of play suits me and I have made some progress in this area. For example, I like impact play and have quite a fondness for being flogged and the use of clothespins. I also like the power exchange, what can I say I like being 'helpless'. While I am up to talking to just about anyone you get bonus points for being local and being open to real communication extra credit for being under 35 (I am 23 after all) also having your own real life experiences in bdsm is great too. Otherwise it'll be kind of like the blind leading the blind.
I am a big believer in safe, sane, and consensual as well as safe sex...which I think goes under "safe" but whatever.
What am I looking for? kind of covered this already so I'll move on to what kind of experience I have and what type of interaction I am looking for?
Great question! I don't have a lot of experience but I do have some. So far I've been to some play parties and had a blast so I am definitely looking for local events. Also looking for play partners/a Dom to show me the ropes as it were (bad pun believe me I know...you guys need to get a new line, seriously) I've also had a few private scenes which have been good as well.
I'd say I really got started this past year but have had an interest/dabbled independently since about 2-3 years ago.
Someone also asked why I am submissive that's kind of a hard question but I'll try to answer honestly (despite my better judgment) Life can be crazy and I have to deal with it everyday, I like having a time to let go. I feel like I can be a good sub and can be challenged in a scene in a way that I just don't get in real life. I can also concede in a way that I can't in real life. (gosh I hope this makes sense) Plus it turns me on, let's face it it's hot =p
What got me started in BDSM? I found out about it through porn and at first thought it was a little strange but it wouldn't let go of me! I got curious and started experimenting with handcuffs, rope, blindfolds, spankings what an old bf....and guess what? I liked it, and wanted more so here I am today doing things I thought would remain a fantasy. And I am glad they turned out to be more than that. Sometimes I think what the hell am I doing and my response is? having fun and exploring my desires. And let me tell you a bdsm scene beats a night out at the club any day of the week.
So hopefully, one day I can find a relationship that incorporates bdsm because I don't think I'd be happy going back to vanilla!
