I've come to the fetish world sort of by accident, in my role as a photographer, in the course of photographing models that enjoy kink.
I've also written custom erotica on a freelance basis, and I get a lot of requests for bondage-related material--which has required a little research, and, well.....I find it interests me; I guess one thing has led to another.
So, through writing bondage-related erotica, I've come to see that I find this world wildly interesting on a personal level--something I wasn't initially prepared for. While I'm still interested in learning about bondage for the purposes of photography--simply as a photographer--I'm also very interested from a more direct, erotic perspective. I want to learn not so much how to tie in a set style accepted as aesthetically pleasing but how to tie in a way that leads my partner to become consumed by her own desire to submit to me as a dominant but benevolent external force focused on her pleasure--that is, rather than in a way that simply results in a conventional-looking bondage shot. I want to photograph the feelings not just the artifacts that create the feelings. Creating a true record of desire and slaked lust is what I find fascinating as an artistic goal.
