Cats are not creatures to be taught or commanded, they are not simple animals to be collared and controlled. They are intelligent and graceful things, hunters detached from the world they observe with no need for someone to depend upon, and there is a certain mystery about exactly how they tick. Throughout history, cats have been the subject of many myths, legends, and lore, from the Ancient Egyptian goddesses Bast and Sekhmet, to the Celtic cait sidhe, to the Viking "cat people," to modern-day superstitions and media portrayals. Protectors of the household in many stories, cats are powerful and beautiful companions, and commanding of respect.

Please, feel free to call me Kat, and welcome to my twisted little corner of the world wide web. I'm somewhat new to the BDSM scene, learned enough to know what it's about and some of what I like, inexperienced enough to say my tastes are changing and growing the more I learn. As indicated by my name, I enjoy being caged, and if the theme hasn't caught on by now, I'm very cat-like in a number of ways. I mewl, I purr, I love having my head scratched, I chase lasers, and I love being cuddled and pampered. But as cat-like as I am, I am nobody's "kitten" and calling me such without my permission is not okay.
Outside of the scene, I'm an amateur writer struggling with issues of identity, anxiety, and depression, and while it is a long and treacherous trek up the mountain, I have come far in my struggles, and every day is another step closer to the summit. I'm a fairly easygoing individual, quick to laugh and quicker to crack jokes, but also very shy and far more introspective than I let on. While I am not exactly introverted, I am also not extroverted, either, and indulge in the pleasures of friendships and time to myself equally. I am also a mix of contradictions and questions, a painting pitted with mistakes and regrets that do not subtract from the larger beauty that is life, and I seek to learn and grow with every experience.
I'm a firm believer in science before mysticism, checking superstition and myth against facts, and I love all things occult and fantastical. I believe that we are not alone, that it is, in fact, arrogant to assume on the grand scale of the universe we are the only intelligent life. I believe ghosts and apparitions are proof of an extension of reality, matter, and energy science has yet to fully understand, but cannot for myself say what that extension is. I believe that thoughts are a form of energy, and while we cannot consciously see it, certain patterns of thinking can ultimately have an effect on the world around us, however small it is. I believe in divinity and things greater than us that exist outside our conscious ability to perceive them, but I do not believe in miracles or a single "true" God; rather, this divinity is as we choose to interpret it, and there's nothing wrong with that.
All philosophical rambling aside, I'm a pretty approachable person, and a loving person all around. I'm also a complete geek, and my favorite hobbies/shows include:
