I posted a few pictures of the Mother and Kittens I rescued about 7 years ago. The mother cat came into our shop starving and looking for food. The girls in the office named her Tabby and fed her. They told me I should take her home and I agreed but I asked,"What about the kittens?" it was obvious she had just had a litter and I didn't want to take her home and leave the kittens to starve.
The girls (Shannon and Shelley) followed her and found the kittens, they were under a large wood shed behind the shop. Their eyes were still closed and they were inches from antifreeze and oil spills. I had to jack the shed up to get under there and get the kittens.
I took the kittens home and raised them to about 10 weeks and found homes for 4 of them. There were 2 champagne, 2 orange and one black I named Patches and kept. Tabby only weighed 6 pounds but she is really fat now and probably 14 years old according to the vet. Patches is tearing up the door jambs in my new house, I need to figure out what to do to stop her. I will not get rid of her.
