Currently seeking possible offline interaction with submissive men or women. I love women, typically blonds and redheads, especially ones with curves. I do have experience with women, so this is not just a case of being bi curious.
I love boys. I do tend to like boyish-looking types. Being buff, and with a lot of hair on your chest, will get you nowhere. Been there, done that, over it.
Right now, I am mainly interested in puppies, kittens, and the schoolroom scenario.
I have a tween daughter, and she is with me except during the Summer. While she does understand some about this lifestyle, obviously some of the physical aspects would not be things to do in front of her. My weekends are pretty flexible. No one over 35.
Not interested in cross dressers. Not interested in sadism without anything else. No one further North than SLO or further South than LA.

I'll be removing my account here in the next day or so. I've had more luck and conversations elsewhere.

Think I sprained my wrist. Delay on answering emails.

Alright, I can honestly say this might be the result of my Anglophile tendencies, but how is it that there is so little available on the Governess and schoolroom style dynamic? I'm an historian, and I love many things from the 18th and 19th centuries. I love the literature, many of the games that were played, and the clothing.

When I married my (now ex) husband, I found a British bridal magazine that asked a very pertinent question...Why Wear White? Since I almost never wear it, I decided I wanted something different. My mom and I designed the dress, and everything around the English foxhunt concept (which I had also used to decorate my bedroom when I was a teenager). So my wedding gown was composed of a long-sleeved, black velvet jacket, a cream skirt of silk shantung, off-white button-style boots with low heels, and a black bowler hat with a chiffon bow tied in the back (instead of a veil). I loved that dress, and am now dreaming of something equally fantastic for play. I can see it being easily integrated into the Governess Domme role.

Current reading list: Sexual Outlaw, Erotic Mystic: The Essential Ida Craddock, Gnostic Philosophy, and Iberian Popular Religion: 600 B.C. to 700 A.D. I'm posting this, because a few people have asked what I like to read. I don't read much fiction, but when I do, they're usually mysteries, historical fiction or vampire related. I've been collecting books about vampire myths and legends since I was about nine. Oh, and while I do still get books in print, I am enjoying my ereader. It's small, has a touch screen, shows in color, and can also be used to download music and movies, surf the web, send/receive emails, and send/receive instant messages. I <3 Droid functionality.

My friend wants me to get involved in roller derby. Don't get me wrong, it might be very cool to go around that track, less so to maybe loose a tooth. Haha. So she came up with idea of my being an NSO. Thinking that might be more my style. One is able to choose a derby name. Could be pretty awesome.

Working on my book again. I changed the theme, since there seemed to be more interest in one direction than another. No, it's not BDSM related, although there are certainly numerous ways that BDSM and religious practices can overlap. Heathenism is a good thing.

My best friend in the area is finally coming back, so I will get to see her regularly. Right before she left, I finally told her about my lifestyle, and she said she'd had her suspicions. It was great that I didn't get judged for it. She's found a very nice guy. They're not in the lifestyle, and they didn't meet while looking for anyone, but it's good to see her happy. He's about twenty years younger than she is, but it's done great things for her.

Thank you selfbnd for the pizza last night. It was great, and so was the conversation. Also, thanks for taking the new pictures. I look forward to posting a couple of them here.

So, after I came home, I started reading Black Butler II. Sebastian. What can I say?***Spoiler***

Puts a whole new spin on the adage, The Devil is in the Details. He's ranking up there with Zero for my affection, but look how many years and how many new series it took for that to happen? I think I'm going to invest in some boy <3 boy manga next.

Why read manga? I find that the culture is a lot more laid back, than we are in American. Ours likes to think it is very liberal and relaxed, at least for the most part, but we still have way too many hang-ups. I have a friend in Santa Monica who has always been into books and movies with boys in love, but it took me awhile to warm up to it. She has a collection. I think it's time for me to visit my friend, and expand my horizons.

My Confession: I watched way too much HGTV. I'm obsessed with houses and decorating shows, and I've been addicted to HGTV, TLC, and Discovery Channel shows since I was about twelve. I want two houses. One to look like the Top Pot Doughnut Shop in Seattle, and one that looks like Kate Winslet's character's house in the movie The Holiday

In the case of the shop style, where the tables are on the second level, there would instead be a walkway that runs in front of three separate rooms. So the rail would be off to the left when you walk by, creating a gallery sort of area. There would be two bedrooms, with a Jack-and-Jill bathroom between them. Floor to ceiling, built-in cabinetry on each of the outside walls in the bedrooms, eliminated the need for closets, armoires or dressers, a single window in the wall to the back of the house, in both bedrooms and the bathroom. The bathroom would have a traditional black and white tile floor, a chrome shower rod that let you use a curtain to wrap around the claw foot tub, and two pedestal sinks. Downstairs, underneath the bedrooms, would be the kitchen. You can't see it in this shot, but that's how it is in the shop. I'd keep the floor-to-ceiling shelves on either end of the first floor, and the living room would be the front part of the house, with a fireplace built into the shelving where the guy in the red shirt, and the lady in the black trenchcoat  are sitting. The living room would have have a huge flat screen television, one sectional couch, and a couple of chaise lounges. Tailored and modern furnishings, to go with the overall design of the house. Laminate floors, because they're inexpensive, are easy to keep clean, wear well, and come in so many colors. I would love to have a screen you could pull down over the windows shown in the left of the shot, and use it as a movie screen, which would then just require a projector and computer be installed in the living room.

It might be premature, but I've been pleasantly surprised about how things have been going since I returned here. I've had some great conversations, and not been inundated by emails from people that quite obviously don't fit into the categories that I specified I was looking for. In the past, that has been an issue, so it's a nice change.

Yes, I am the first to admit that my pics are not the greatest, and that putting ones face on the Internet is a huge commitment. Still, it would be nice if people I end up talking to extensively would provide me with a picture of themselves that is taken from closer than fifty feet away. You know, the kind of picture where if we meet in person, I can actually tell it's them, when they're right there in front of me.

Hint, hint.

I know, not subtle.

Considering attending the next West Coast Social, but it's been a long time since I've been to the Lair. I was a different person then, and I'm not entirely sure I would have the patience for the group social dynamic. It also looks like they are changing the date for the month, so it won't necessarily be on a Friday. Saturday would be better for my schedule.
