My St Andrews Cross Project is nearly finished. Well the cross portion of it anyways. (and of course I've blown up my budget) The design/developement portion is complete and so is the build. I just need to disassemble it and put on the stain/finish and then its ready to go. Should I go with Classic black or something more like a charcoal grey stain?

This is one of my bettter projects to date. This cross was made so that it can be assembled/disassembled without any tools in a matter of minutes. This cross breaks down into 4 sections... easy to store away or transport!!!

I'm also considering building some add-on attachments... A butterfly chair (spreading legs) that attaches to the cross which becomes the back of the chair... and a head rest board for when the cross is put up at very steep/horizontal angles.  Thoughts?

Started my St Andrews Cross project today.. hoooray!!!!
Picked up some nice redwood 2x6x8's and all the hardware!!
Just have to decide on what color to stain it when im near done...

Any suggestions?  I was thinking a dark/smokeblack that will still show the woodgrain and finish it off with s clear coat?  So any opinions?

So what is the deal with this place?  Everyone seems so uptight and touchy here?

I mean I finally updated my profile quite a bit, browsed the profiles and journals of many locals, talked in the chatrooms, and yes even sent a couple hello/intro messages.

But from a new guy to collarme's point of view, just saying hi and introducing myself politely and respectfully is no "reason" to bite someone's head off!!!!? Or marking you as a favorite (temp or perm) shouldn't be taken as offensive, or deserve an ass chewing!!! The help section clearly states its purpose is to "bookmark other users you took interest in"... So that's all I was doing!?!?  (but no I didn't realize right away that showed on your lists too)  Honestly in most cases I liked the persons writing, either their about me.. or their journal entries. But Yes for some it was more the (common) interests and even different kinds of the photo's (drawings,tats,etc.. too) that caught my attention. But don't be offended??? (why ARE you offended???!!!????) 

So is it this place is just full of scammers and fakes and everyone is just tired of em all? (yes ive seen plenty of those too)

Is that why collarme seems so grumpy? Is this place just as bad or worse than ALT.com or bondage.com?
