We own and operate the educational website XCBDSM.com, which has a lot of information for kinksters both new and experienced. We also manage a local non-profit organization called the "Colorado Center for Alternative Lifestyles" (ColoradoCAL.com).
We are a poly/kink household based in Aurora, Colorado. Eventually, the plan is to grow our family to include many people, hopefully all living together or nearby to each other. We are open to all identities, genders, and sexual orientations.
Generally, we will extend invitations to persons that we believe will be a good fit. But are happy to consider those who approach us. All dynamic between the people involved would be negotiated. We have no pre-determined rules or expectations. We want and expect you to actively participate in crafting the power exchange to meet everyone's needs and desires.
Right now, we are actively seeking a bi/pan-sexual submissive (any gender) to help us keep up with life (we are so busy) and to have some fun with. The ideal person would have an interest in helping us with house work, as well as organizing and hosting kinky events and classes, and would be somewhere near us (Colfax & I-225), but even that can be worked around.
In addition, we also offer guidance and mentoring to new or inexperienced individuals who wish to explore the lifestyle.
A note on "guides" and "mentors": If you are new to kink or the public community, our approach will be to introduce you to many people, get you involved in local groups, and give you the tools you need to explore the community safely. Others will do the opposite, by restricting who you talk to, discouraging you from joining groups or attending events, and trying to make you rely on them for your safety. If you find yourself in that last kind of situation, GET OUT. There are abusers in our community and that is one of their methods of isolating you so that you have no support structure and no one to warn you about them.
We are active in the Denver community and we have been invited to teach at events here in Denver and around the country. In 2017, we have classes scheduled in Las Vegas, Ft. Lauderdale, and Edmonton.

Living in a Ds/Poly Household Lots of people on this site have listed "joining a poly household" as something they are looking for. But when they contact us, they have a wide range of ideas about what that means, or no idea at all. So we thought it would be a good idea to write a little bit about what this looks like, for us.
First and foremost, we are a family. We have jobs, we have bills, we eat diner together in the evening, and we take interest in each others' lives. No one is considered sub-human, and no one is prohibited from having or expressing emotion. We are a family.
If family is our foundation, D/s (Dominance and submission) is the skeletal structure. It forms the shape of how we live and behave. We view emotional intimacy, power-exchange, S&M play, and sex as completely separate elements and each is negotiated separately. In other words, we believe that it is possible to have a deeply fulfilling relationship with someone that is grounded in power exchange, but does not include sex or sexuality. Which is why the head of the household, who is a straight male, has opened his house to people of all gender identities and orientations.
We believe strongly in education and mentorship. Our family teaches regularly at local and national events, as well as participate in one-on-one instruction and guidance.
Ultimately, the goal is to grow, both as individuals and as a group. And anyone who joins should share that passion. So that is a very basic introduction to what we do and how we live, we may add more later as questions continue to come in. |
