Consent is really important to me. Without consent, what we do is some cocktail of: emotional/psychological abuse, physical abuse, kidnapping, assault, sexual assault, rape, kidnapping and false imprisonment, actual bodily harm, and occasionally grievous bodily harm. These are bad things. With consent, what we do is awesome fun between consenting adults.
Part of consent that we often leave out as a given is *Informed*, if we do not know to what we are consenting, we cannot consent, that's legally and technically true. If you're in a romantic relationship with someone, and you're monogamous, then one of the, usually unspoken, rules of that dynamic, is that you don't play away. You don't cheat. If you don't have your partner's consent, then you are violating their consent. If you assume that what they don't know won't hurt them, then you're forgetting all the damage you'll do if and when they find out, as well as the damage you're doing to yourself.
Funny thing, those who are the least trusting and most jealous are often that way because they are untrustworthy. Often they do not believe that their partners are not cheating, because they are cheating and lying about it.
Tl;dr: Please don't make advances at me if you are, or would be, cheating on your significant other. It's a consent violation. |

Sometimes I feel a little bit bad for blocking people, it feels a little rude. But usually, unless they've actually sent me something ridiculously rude, it's just a time saving measure. Do you have any idea how many messages a woman on this site gets every day?
