As the morning light steaks across the room she stands at the foot of the bed Refreshed an awaken an out of the shower with beads of water on her skin The towel she wears wrapped around her holding her tight an drying her As she does not realize I am watching her for she thinks I am still asleep An as she stares at herself in the full length mirror I study her model body Now naked as she poses as being photographed for the cover of a magazine An as I watch her through barely open eyes as I study her lines and her curves Doing so while she twists an turns getting every side an every angle possible Being an inspiration to me that only the great masters could have dreamed of An getting up after she left I get into my studio an sit before a blank canvas Closing my eyes to once again envision truly a timeless beauty unfathomed Paying attention to every detail with every stroke in fluid motion of color For I want her to know that it is with her love that brings me to life An wanting so much to live with her in the world her heart has shown me
So now, taking a step back to view the image of what has now began to emerge She has become the source of every movement the brush touched to create While now the moonlight streaks shadows on the wall an she is back home To view what I saw this morning crying tears of what my art imitates love
