Well, the place near Tours fell through, lazy good-for-nothing estate agent didn't pull his finger out. Anohter trip planned to find the next property, but I'm feeling more adventurous this time and I'm looking on the south coast, perhaps Languedoc. Sea, sunshine and mountains :) And perahps a small hotel rather than gites, with a series of courses, retreats, special interests groups, lots of fun...

A place in France has been found, just trying to sort out the finance package!! Will soon be signing on the dotted line for two farm houses and a few acres near Tours, Loire valley :)
And then starting to fly-commute back to the UK... while my partner starts to convert one of the farmhouses into four lovely gites.
It's likely that one of the gites will offer two subterranean chambers and a play room beneath it, suitable for extended imprisonment / isolation. In previous times pear-storage caves and possibly a still (Calvados!!) these are now very interesting features :)
We will need a live-in FEMALE slave at the property, seriously. Enquiries taken, but I WILL weed out the wannabees quickly. |
