So, OK, ya know that "game" where you assign a gender to an inanimate object, especially a particular object that you own?
i am having issues with my washer and dryer. About a year ago the washer started leaking water and grease while it is running. So, i have it up on "blocks" with a bucket underneath. A couple of weeks ago it stops running the final spin cycle. No big deal you say. Except that it takes 2-3 hours to run the clothes through the dryer when they haven't done the final spin. So, i try to get it to run the final cycle and even try the final cycle on different settings. Finally it sorta runs the final spin after about the 5th or 6th try.
Guys? Did ya know that the dryer has a light inside it? i'm talking about the dryers you buy, not the ones at the laundromat. Yeah, and, they burn out. Well, mine burned out about a year ago, and, i got around to replacing it about 3 months ago. About 10 days ago i noticed that it had burned out again.
i go to take out the bulb and i see that it has not just burned out - it has exploded! Separated from the base of the bulb and the top of the bulb is blown out. All that is left is a cylinder of glass, a lot of little pieces of glass, and, the base still in the socket. i have never seen a bulb do that before. So, go get some pliers and eventually get it out. DustBuster the glass. Go get the jar of little automotive bulbs and find several that will fit. Start to put in the first one, and, before it is completely seated - boom! Yep, it exploded. Pliers again. DustBuster again. Go get the safety glasses i use during woodworking and an insulated glove. Start to put in the second bulb - crack! pop! flash!
LOL Damn, this dryer is *really* pissed off!
OK, i can do without the light inside the dryer. A few days pass and today i "get" to do laundry. The washer runs the final spin on the third try (yea!). And, i move the clothes into the dryer. Nothing. It is just sitting there. i'm guessing it's a fuse (either in the dryer or the fuse box) and i am not in the mood to pull out the dryer to find it. So, clothes are drying on the shower rod.
So, what genders are they? The dryer is easy. All it does is blow hot air. And, when it doesn't want to work, it just sits there and does nothing. So - male.
The washer? It seems to do a lot of different things, with different settings and cycles. Delicate, permanent press, sturdy settings - hell if i can tell the difference - isn't washing, um, "washing"? It's too easy to point out that it is leaking during the cycles. But, when it is doing the hard cleaning, it is agitating. Agitating, rinsing, spinning, repeat. Is each one a separate cycle, or, are they vastly different functions within a single cycle? Now it is being finicky about doing the final spin, um, where it is retaining water in the clothes. Sometimes it will do it, sometimes not. Like it has a mind of its own and *it* decides when to do it. Then, sometimes that final spin can be off balance and shakes the washer so violently that it knocks stuff off the washer and the refrigerator next to it. Scary as hell and exciting all at the same time. So - female.
So - kill me. If You don't have a sense of humor, we are not right for each other.

This is my favorite thing i heard during the fetish flea yesterday where i was vending my leatherwork. A young woman saw my hair brush (with the sharp half inch spikes), she shrieked happily and exclaimed:

Another situation that makes one go hhhhmmm.....
i receive a CollarMe message from a female dominant who says she may be interested in having me as her "personal slave and partner". She provides a link to her web site and referring me to the "slave required" page. So, i go to her web site and read up on her. She sounds learned, experienced, and, like she has a (real) dominant personality. So, i send her an email, expressing that i am flattered to hear from her, asking what in my profile that she liked, stating that i might be GU, and, i was interested in corresponding with her.
So, a day or two later she emails me back, and, she says that she is impressed that basically i don't sound like the morons that constantly contact her. But, the rest of her email seems kinda "formula" and fairly long. She doesn't say what she liked in my profile and she doesn't express a concern about where i live (probably at least a 45 minute drive).
So, i email her back and say that i probably can't meet her requirements. i restate where i live, and, that i consider myself a submissive and not a slave - what she states she wants (as well as that slave being her "boyfriend").
i receive another email from her a day or two later. Again, it seems "formula" and again surprisingly long. Again she doesn't address my concerns. i go to my CollarMe "Who's Viewing Me" and see that she hasn't looked at my profile. hhhmmm
Although she is a pro Domme, her emails don't mention me having a paid session with her. Nor does she ask for a "tribute" before continuing communication with me. i do some internet research on her, found out that she used to be in NYC, and, she has been looking for a personal slave/boyfriend for awhile.
So, i email her back and say that her emails state a number of parameters for the relationship that she is looking for, but, that her emails don't address any of my questions or concerns. i end the email asking if this is also part of the parameters for a relationship with her.
It's been over a week, and, i haven't heard back from her. hhhmmm....
