I'm into the psychology of this, and for this reason I'm interested in TPE at the right time - that is once I understand my submissive, and she understands what I want and she trusts me. Physical domination is important, and very enjoyable, but it primarily serves as a symbol of the power I desire over your mind.
I believe a good Dom is always in control - in control of his submissive, himself, and whatever situation he is in. But being calm and in control does not mean I am weak or unassertive. I simply wish to dominate your mind using more sophisticated techniques than simply shouting and making threats. But I desire the control to use all means necessary and methods appropriate for the occasion.
Looking ultimately for a LTR but in a form which is satisfying to me while also meeting the needs of my slave/submissive/pet.
