TRUST....
Most people will say that the value it in a relationship but do they? I been alone now for over a year and started searching for my Dom about 6 months ago. What I'm finding...or i should say, what I've found, is that alot of people say that they want to build TRUST in their relationship, but their actions do not mimic their words.
In relationships, TRUST is one of the building blocks. Without it, everything crumbles and falls. You can have great conversation, great chemistry, and great sex, but without TRUST, it will not grow. And, it will fail...only a matter of time. We need TRUST to establish and deepen our relationships. TRUST allows us to feel safe with each other... safe to make plans and safe to share ourselves, our lives, and our deepest dark fantasies...
TRUST requires that we keep our promises and show demonstrations of dependability, respect, and honour. It requires you to be open, honest and truthful, which I'm finding is quite difficult for some people to do. So, I ask of anyone trying to get to know me, understand that I value two things the most, one having excellent communication AND the ability & desire to work towards building TRUST. Setting out on this journey has been an eye opening experience thus far. I understand i have a great deal to learn in respect to this lifestyle. Though, one area where I prided myself in being excellent in, was in the area of communication. I understood the importance of having effective and open communication. So, it came as a surprise that my first error with my Dom, was in this area. I thought I was communicating effectively, when in reality, communication is only effective as how well the person recieves it...meaning was the information provided in a manner in which you conveyed it in a clear and understanding manner. This is where I failed. I failed to communicate the message clearly, so that my Dom clearly understood what I was expressing. It revealed to me that even though I may feel as though I've mastered an area, I should remain humble and conscientious because there is still room left for me to grow....in all areas... |
