| I discovered D/s a few years ago and since then I've had some real experiences. Before that time, I didn't even know that such a thing existed. Of course I had seen some imagery and I remember watching a North European drama where a few D/s scenes took place during the movie. Perhaps because most of the imagery that I had seen was of women submitting to men, the whole idea didn't really appeal to me. But now, when I look back at my first (vanilla) relationships, I realize that what I enjoyed the most was serving the woman I was with and pleasing her as she wished. Now, with more knowledge and experience, I still feel happiest when the woman I'm with is happy with the way I serve her. After my most recent long-term relationship, I'm now looking to be at the feet of a wonderful woman and feel the joy of submission again. While I believe a long-term relationship is best for fully enjoying D/s, I'm also open to more casual play. In any case, I consider getting to know each other an important first step.
