I have been researching cuckold and finding many strange notions What I found so far is. The term "cuckold" comes from the Middle English cokewold and refers to a cuckoo hen who lays her eggs in another's nest.
In evolutionary biology, the term is also applied to males who are unwittingly investing parental effort in offspring that are not genetically their own.
The female equivalent cuckqueen deceives the husband so he is unaware of his wife's unfaithfulness and may not know until the arrival or growth of a child plainly not his.
A wife that sleeps around behind the back of her husband is just an adulterers
A wife that sleeps with her husband knowledge is just non monogamous or open marriage.
A wife and husband that sleeps around with each other are swingers.
So if there is no husband raising a child he thinks is his it is not cuckold.
