Having been in the lifestyle many years from Gor to this new BDSM, exploring different other lifestyles, I find many on here do not know what the difference between a slave and a submissive.

submissive

1. ready to submit to others: giving in or tending to give in to the demands or authority of others

slave

1. somebody forced to work for another: somebody who is forced to work for somebody else for no payment and is regarded as the property of that person

2. dominated person: somebody who is dominated by somebody or by something

3. somebody accepting another's rule: somebody who meekly accepts being ruled by somebody else

4. very hard worker: somebody who works hard, in bad conditions, and for low pay

5. device controlled by another: an electronic or mechanical device that is controlled by another ( often used before a noun )

submissive

one that has limits and can express these and have them set before belonging to one.

slave

one that has to accept only those limits if any set by the Owner.

Don't get Us wrong as they do have a choice to accept an Owner in most cases but get real and just because you feel you are a slave, does not mean you are one unless you have no control over anything.

We are bombarded by those that do not know what a submissive is nor a slave. Many do not know understand the dynamics of BDSM and are only looking for a free ride, kinky sex, on-line cyber etc. What We seek here is those that are true to the lifestyle or those that are truly willing to learn and be trained.
