Reworked to update and make more pithy.

I am a selective, handsome, athletic, affectionate Dominant, involved in BDSM for over 20 years. I started with BDSM while getting my PhD. I am a control-oriented Dom, so while I enjoy bondage, pain, and service it is controlling you through fantasy scenes (including humiliation) and exotic places that excites me most. Fantasy, both in sexual and non-sexual settings is important to me.As an Eagle Scout, I am great with knots. )

I work out daily and am an active mentor. Without trying, this leads to most of my dates being as a Daddy Dom to women under 30 (sometimes under 20). Most people from here find me exceptional I can provide references on request.

Outside of BDSM I telecommute - so am always home unless out for fun!I am very bright, creative and artistic. I also enjoy travel a lot and have been to 25 countries. I attend festivals, museums and concerts often and have a year-round pass to my local amusement park. Most of my days consist of going to the gym, telecommuting at Kings Dominion, riding a line, and eating at Kings Dominion before going home. I love roller coasters.

I have also recently become much more involved in Judaism. I am very interested in spirituality. By spirituality, I mean attaining a state where you, personally, can do miracles on demand. Think Yoda from Star Wars.

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!
7/28/2009 5:06:14 PM
Cool!  Just got a skype call from my friend in Shanghai!

Planning to head to the Midwest in a few days - in Philadelphia right now.
7/1/2009 12:15:33 PM
So my sexy white submissive friend invites me to a play party and I am the only white guy there...what is she telling me? ;)
6/17/2009 8:34:43 AM
I've enjoyed my new dog - a 90# German Shepherd - immensely - and wonder how much of the practice in training translates to training a submissive?

It's interesting, too, to see how many people treat their toddlers like dogs!

Hmmm...I have several bones and balls for Chester... but what to give a woman?

Nice newspaper headline by the Washington Post:

"Man, I like a facial!"

I wonder if even 20% of the female profiles on here are NOT fake profiles?
5/6/2009 10:27:06 AM
I wonder why more people don't submit scammers on here?  Are Dom's that dumb?

The "deaf/mute" is scam-ese for "I can't speak on the phone but send me your Yahoo IM so I can send you spam."

Interesting report that one man on here has SIXTY fake profiles!
5/4/2009 11:52:38 AM
I wonder - have 50% of the people on this site passed even 5th grade English?
5/1/2009 6:28:24 AM
All moved.

A little ticked.  An ex is on here (I think) and isn't writing.

Wow!  I saw this on a discount site today:

1 Free Day of BJ's

Times must be tough!
12/2/2008 10:50:40 AM
Whew!  I've realized I must have 10 friends from here who have had kids with their Dom or submissive.  The most interesting is one friend from TX who has an entourage that makes Brittney Spears' seem small!

This entry is a bit overdue about Las Vegas.

There is something special about Las Vegas.  Going from NYC to Paris in under a minute is amazing.  Dining atop the Eiffel Tower after being on a Coney Island roller coaster is amazing.  Man-made volcanoes are amazing.

This trip to Vegas was a little tougher than expected.  Airline flights have become "un-fun": no in-flight entertainment, paid beverage service, paid luggage on a 5 hour flight.   A little human compassion goes a long way though: three or four times meals and services were simply given to me - and not from casinos.

The view from the hotel was remarkable.  17 floors up, looking at Excaliber and MGM was breathtaking.  Seeing several shows was a good diversion.  Gambling was nice, but the casinos (except for Wynn) are hurting.  Wynn had more money on one table than entire casinos had!

Small wonder...in 4 days of gambling, lol, I earned $1 of comp credit playing blackjack.  I'm framing that "check"!

The pure tourism "kitsch" of LV seems off the scale.  100+ ounce drinks show the excess well.  Night comes with a legion of Mexicans that instead of construction jobs flick prostitution and exotic dancing adds.  There are literally dozens of such people per block!

I think next time I will do some clubs.  My friends and I skipped one show we had (free) tickets for to get dinner at the Eiffel Tower.  But it seems hard to resist a lounge where the entire place is at minus five degrees.

Sadly, my ex-submissive is no longer in Las Vegas.  Otherwise there would have been more fun!
11/13/2008 3:58:40 PM
Interesting trip to Las Vegas.  The economy is down, so the casinos aren't overwhelming - and courtesy pays more than ever.  I think I've had extra  food or drink thrown my way 3 or 4 times by now!

Las Vegas is even more spectacular then ever in the South Strip.  The new club "Ice" - if I go, it's for the $100/person VIP package.  The casinos are more extravagant than ever - The Wynn is littered with frescoes.   Sadly, most casinos aren't themed any more.

I've gotten to make this a business trip by attending two conferences and making a marketing presentation to an executive here ;)

10/11/2008 6:34:32 AM
Wow!  Talk about a bad week - GPS blew up, incredibly bad poison ivy, lost millions in the market, a multi-bandage shaving cut, whew!  Next week must be better!
9/15/2008 4:28:08 PM
Amazing cock picture coming soon!

My desktop machine blew up, but we took the most amazing cock picture this weekend.  It will be soooooo cool to share!

This may be insightful for people about me; people pretty quickly pick up that I am bright, accomplished, experienced. etc. - but this is not so obvious...

I'm nursing a cold.  A BAD cold.  A "walking zombie at death's door cold."  So pushing myself, I get to a museum.  So far so good, so I head to The Kennedy Center for a play.  Got there in between plays, so dinner in Georgetown.  Get back for another play.

Laugh my head off at the play.  Laugh til I cry.  Laugh til I choke.  And I am not a laugher.  Planning to go to another play, but told people I would check out a dance concert with them.

Meet the people.  Take a swing dancing lesson.  An hour later I am teaching swing dancing to people that missed the lessons.  11pm comes, my cold is still going strong, but I am still dancing.

High energy.

Delays, delays, delays.  Bad people, bad! ;)

On more important things, whew! I need to arrange a few vacations and think I may have "hit the wall" exercise wise.  Or perhaps it's drinking too much water... but I felt tonight like the times when I would work out THROUGHOUT a football game (3 hours).  It's an odd feeling if you've never felt it... once the adrenaline stops, it's like you have a hole in your stomach!
8/10/2008 6:17:33 PM
There was a lovely article in today's Wash Post about parents' of the Swedish handball team wanting to see their daughters play.  Their deal for tickets to the Olympic match included a night with the daughters.

I wonder if that includes a handball lesson?
8/4/2008 7:15:35 PM
Interesting...while not being poly myself poly people seem to be quite drawn to me... interesting
7/27/2008 4:14:53 PM
Interesting.  A woman asked me to marry her on our second date Friday.  For a very casual, vanilla relationship - what a way to start!  LoL
7/19/2008 8:52:58 PM
Last night and tonight were the National Symphony Orchestra.  I wonder how difficult it really would be to join them?

On my recent rant it's funny. I have received many letters on the matter - but none from anyone in DC disagreeing with me!

On a side note, there is one particular journal on here I like - FINALLY someone who can keep up! ;)
7/18/2008 8:28:43 PM
LoL  I see I got a rise from at least one person with my journal.  Note that this is only a "DC thing".  I've found people great in most parts of country - and this observation was made in DC.

Of course, I am not the first person to note that people in DC are selfish and self-centered.

I have a much better time with people 50 miles away in Baltimore than in DC!

Other than DC people, life is good.  Tonight I went to The National Symphony Orchestra.  The interesting thing is that the orchestra's clarinet soloist and I shared the same clarinet teacher!  But his (musical) counting is MUCH better than mine....

7/18/2008 1:39:46 PM
Life has been interesting.

First, something I've never really done before was spend time with a "Miss Right Now", but women are pretty childish in DC (I'll post on this later) so I met up with a former partner last week: 22yo, tiny, smart, spontaneous and exotic.

Still looking for Ms Right, but an interesting time.  So petite that the handcuffs jammed on her wrists, breaking the key when I unlocked them.  Ragdoll size to toss around.  But very, very good at obeying orders.  Sadly, even at 22 and fit she couldn't "keep up" ("I'm sleepy"...after 5 hours)

My colleagues constantly wonder why Ms Right is so hard to find, and I hated settling for "Ms Right Now".  Some good insight...

I was donating blood today.  I donated a double portion of blood with the Red Cross.  I did the double to avoid the line and - whew! - I feel like a BILLION dollars!  But I noticed... of the 15 people giving blood, only one - and the very last person to come in - only one was a woman.

Come on people!!

7/9/2008 7:03:14 PM
Life is good.  I've gotten some stuff on CNN over the past few days, played tennis every day, so things are good.  May have a VERY interesting trip tomorrow...
7/5/2008 7:01:41 AM
Being in the front row at the July 4th on the National Mall celebration televised by PBS, did anyone see me on PBS (obviously, only people who know me could answer this)?  Great time... but Whew!  5+ hours in the same place!

<p>New lesson: don't put 6' people on your shoulders unless they are REALLY coordinated!
6/11/2008 5:01:39 PM
Life has been good.  Consulting has picked up.  I have  a few trips planned, and people are coming from out of town to visit.  I've been lifting weights and swimming (alternating days), getting to one - two museums a week, gaming once or twice a week, planning a trip to Montana and Wyoming, and have attended a concert a week.

Of course, I still have yet to watch a minute of TV since the move! ;)
5/12/2008 6:12:19 PM

Just signed a lease on a new place...been playing "marriage councelor" (sp?) for a friend and his gf.  He's write - maybe I should be a professional marriage councelor!

4/21/2008 5:28:21 PM
2 things...
First, a client has asked me to come back to N Virginia for an extended contract.  Hence, I will soon be spending weeks in Alexandria and weekends in Philadelphia.

Second, on my friend and her CollarME problem.  The Dom was given several years in jail + $5,000 or so of restitution.  Yea justice system!

2/27/2008 8:43:45 AM
So a friend was telling me about the "Dom" she met on this system who she let stay with her. Didn't pay rent, utilities, etc. Wanted to bring women to her place. When she kicked him out the neighbors needed to call the police. With two felony convictions and now a few more on the way and another restraining orders, apparently he is still on here and found the "slave of his dreams" in the DC area. And people wonder why I generally take a long time to meet people from here. I think the disasters occur more often than the good stories - and I'm surprised CMe hasn't been sued over stories like this!
2/22/2008 7:35:03 AM
I've mellowed this a few times: gripes serve little purpose.

My visiting people will now include FREE vocabulary lessons!

What a steal - I am normally billed at a few hundred dollars per hour!  FREE vocabulary lessons!

*laugh*
2/14/2008 12:01:01 PM
Happy Valentine's Day!
9/14/2007 4:24:46 PM
I'm interviewing replacement clients for my current one in California, and have finally met someone in CA who is not a "flake, nut or fruit" ;)  But I wonder if things will coincide in time for something wonderful?

The new client is VERY sensitive to reputation, so I have pulled my pictures.   Tis a shame, but I can provide links to pics.

9/1/2007 8:31:47 AM
I added a few pictures.  One is from San Antonio Texas (last month) another is from the Chinese festival in Oakland CA (last week).  A third is from a year or so ago from Las Vegas.

On BDSM interests, I've found one particularly interesting person on the site that intrigues me a lot.  But let me start on my behavior "lessons".   A favorite source of mine is "All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten" by Fulghum.

Last night I received a call from a slave in LA that was interested in dating.  More specifically in my coming to LA to meet her.  Of course, LA is 5 1/2 hours away.  She is LA submissive #3 that has chatted with me; this woman specifially mention being a Bay Area presense in her profile.  She seemed shocked and insulted that I wouldn't jump on a plane to meet her for lunch! *laugh*

What is the lesson here?  As children we are supposed to learn to share.  From her perspective "sharing" means my sharing her with other people, not her sharing the responsibility of a relationship.

Rights go hand in hand with responsibility.  Who doesn't want all iced cream and no calories?  People talk about limits, but if you want people to respect your limts then you need to accept accountability.
Everyone has limits and I recognize slavery   shifts some responsibility for an implied sensual benefit.  Age play implicitly removes responsibility - but this again is "play".  Play is not real life and your first phone call is not about sensuality - it's an introduction. On responsibility, I don't recommend going to work in without clothes, unless you don't need to make rent payments!
8/31/2007 9:59:31 PM
I have a good bit of catching up to do on journaling and will be posting a bunch of photos imminently. Before anyone asks about their blurry nature I only keep my cellphone's camera with me because I've lost LOTS of digital camera's in the past!

More interestingly, for a year or so I've been thinking of writing a "Dear David" website. And I am considering writing an extended collection of journal entries on very basic guidelines for polite behavior; I realized tonight that since moving to California it's not that people are "flaky", but more than people lack very, very rudimentary social skills. I am guilty of this at times, but I just got off the phone with someone who has been writing to me: thirty seconds into her call I could tell she has serious communications problems. Would people be interested in discussing very basic communications issues?

Let me put it another way. As a painfully young submissive once told me, she could be everyone's friend, know everyone, and get people to do remarkable things for her - provided that she would do anything (sexually) that anyone wanted. So, despite being 200 pounds overweight, a horror-story's "Queen of the Damned", and about as awkward in vanilla life as humanly possible, she has tried about everything humanly possible by 17 (including being married). I suppose that I shouldn't be surprised that "normal" and "attractive" looking women in the lifestyle have serious ego issues!

It's pretty funny that people confuse my lack of interest with "being intimidated". I've met two people that intimiated me, in my entire life - and neither in the lifestyle.

Not willing to accept insincerity, tactlessness, or incompetence is not being intimidated.

Worse, I have to admit that since moving to CA I have started to pick up on such bad traits (of taking people for granted).

Finally, I plan to take the "guidelines" from widely used psychology and sociology books.

8/19/2007 10:41:39 AM
Whew!  I couldn't get this journal editor to work at all - finally!  So first, a comment on CollarMe then a comment on life.

As my editorial comment: people here are becoming WAAAAAAY too petty and silly.  Literally half the new profiles for women are men making profiles up to trash (or "alert" Doms to) women.   Of course, the desperation of guys writing to every woman on the site seems to make many women feel overwhelmed, stalked, and - to me - incredibly irresponsible.  A month or so ago I was dating a woman who received twenty-two THOUSAND emails one day.  She (inadvertently?) stood me up.  No more dating her: 22,000 or 22 million emails, I expect serious groveling on infractions!

On life, while Walnut Creek (Oakland) has been great, I must say I find the community here a bit confusing.  I am guessing that there are only four groups for short, bald, non-English-speaking role-playing dominant dwarves seeking tall, child-like, sadistic, Vegan slaves....or are there five?

Incidently, are any of these groups close to Walnut Creek?

8/12/2007 11:14:05 AM
Life has been hectic, but good, lately.  Last weekend was part in Texas, part in PA, and now I am in Walnut Creek.  PA was the Philadelphia Orchestra.  Texas was OzzFest.  And I was at the Phillipino Festival and a Japantown festival in San Francisco yesterday.

My cold is slowing me up! ;)
9/16/2006 4:21:54 PM
Much has happened recently, so this will be a fairly long post to describe a few exciting things. Last week I went to Las Vegas to visit a childhood friend, a slave, to meet some lifestyle people, to enjoy gambling and to see the Grand Canyon. On gambling, Las Vegas sure has changed since I had last been (10 years ago.) The gambling advertisement have been replaced by show advertisements and sex advertisements. Advice in The Philadelphia Inquirer seemed nearly dead wrong - it was quite difficult to find anything approximating "deals." But signifciant research on The Strip led to some interesting times. The show at The Rio was amazing, and nearly worth dropping about 1K at blackjack. The show at The House of Blues would could have been missed. I tried craps for the first time - what a rush! On the BDSM community, I enjoyed my time with Slave Robbie and Sir Carl. Slave Robbie looked so pretty with the violet wand marks up and down her butt. I have been involved in BDSM for 10+ years, never had used a violet wand, and now really must get one. I like the near surgical precision afforded by the instrument. The Grand Canyon was nice, but the "touristy" level presented by the Indian tribe was pretty aggravating, maybe even insulting. I have to say driving thru Joshua Tree National Forest with slave as chauffeur was the highlight. Having a convertible for the desert trip didn't hurt either!
9/3/2006 1:07:50 PM
A few interesting discussions have happened lately that should be illuminating to most readers... People often ask me why I am not married, why I haven't taken a permanent submissive, why I don't train people more often, etc. Then, in talking with a smart kinkster from abroad, we discuss how Americans are so casual with their relationships. An intricacy of my personality is that I will chat forever to know someone: it can be hard to keep passion and sponteneity under control, so it's important to understand people's history. As my kinky friend pointed out, people in America are generally "unsafe". We talk about safe words, safe sex, etc., but I think I have met one person as safe and cautious as mywself (in 20+ years of dating). Why is this important? I recognize that we all enjoy intense, passionate, mind-blowing play. But I don't play with people after days of conversation (whih seems VERY common here) and play safe, sane and consensually - not just talk about it.
8/5/2006 10:21:01 PM
Since enough people have asked, I am getting back to spending time with people but am being more cautious from a very, very, very bad experience.
7/24/2006 6:23:48 PM
I'm taking a break for a while - so I'll answer email when I come back. Or you can find me at dr_clips on hotmail.
7/15/2006 7:39:01 AM
I wonder, at times, if I am overly picky on the people I date. As my friends settle down, I realize I've dated nicer, more, more, and more accomplished - but where should one compromise? Laugh - so I'm sitting at a meeting of kinksters discussing a demo on breast play and breast torture that will occur in 2 weeks at BESS. So I learn that the Dom is going to use submissive A or submissive B for his demonstration Oh great, I think, I've never attended a BESS session but I know both A and B *quite* well! How can the world be so small? It's not like I date a lot - but A and B are very sexy subbies....
7/11/2006 3:55:29 PM
I've had a few requests to expand more on my interests, life, fantasies, etc. so here are some tastes. First, I've had a remarkably diverse life and - properly motivated - I can spend and enjoy my time with anyone. My acquaintances have included politicians, CEO's - and murderers and prostitutes. So I often ask about what interests OTHER people the most, since my interests are very varied. What makes me tick? Intelligence. Bright people tend to think I am very, very funny and others often wonder (a) what planet I'm from or (b) if I'm gay. You don't have to be brilliant, but if you can't understand my explanation of something you need to learn a new skill - READING. My biggest flaw is probably patience. Properly motivated I have the patience of a saint. Othertimes, I am milliseconds away from eploding. Similarly, first dates are a particular difficulty for me. Many first dates orgasm from my mental stimulation and deliberate, sadistic play - while clothed and in public. And cum a lot. So it's easy for my dates to go "too far" (for my own enjoyment) or "not far enough" (to make my date cum times #6, 7, 8...) So what's going on lately with me? I'm spending weekends in Philly and my weeks in Baltimore/DC. I may get a place in York PA and may resume travelling more, but I travel a LOT already. I've been going to a lot of concerts, gaming (D&D) often, and getting better at kareoke. I seem to go out to eat EVERY night....so I always enjoy a good, slave-cooked meal ;)
7/5/2006 4:40:10 PM
Now THIS is FUNNY! Having been in the lifestyle for 10+ years, I've been involved with a variety of groups to one extent or another. Tonight I was using the Internet in the lobby of my hotel near my new client - just waiting for a page to load - when my mind computed the acronym - OH! So the educational society meeting at the hotel NOW - that's a BDSM group!
7/3/2005 8:09:05 AM
Live 8 from the 3rd row was fantastic, but missing my friends from afar.

I will be flying to work for the next 6 months, so hope to extend my travels. I would enjoy sampling southern cuisine, European hospitality, and Asian delights.

6/26/2005 8:28:59 PM
I've had to add some new entries for a while, but taking a few notes out of chrnonological order...

Slave looked so good tied to the bed.
The full length mirror, reflecting her bent head.
The bruises across her breasts and chest saying what was said.

Bad girl wore her jeans to hike
She knows there is no play
I had to ply the stick to ass
(Damn stick broke there anyway)

She says she is no brat
Obeying well she's on my mind
But broken stick, broken bones,
Good help is hard to find!
6/11/2005 12:33:05 PM
See??  Slave looked so happy eating her treats!

Would you like to be my new pet?
6/11/2005 12:27:15 PM
Slave has gotten scared and gone back to being vanilla.    Not good.  I suppose I intimidated her more than a little...and she made such a good pet!
5/30/2005 7:33:19 PM
Mmmmm....some of my BDSM photos seem to be making it to some professional web sites!  But... what compensation should I be asking for or looking at in terms of damages?

If you're interested in some of my photos just let me know.  Anyone know of a site for posting videos on the net?
5/14/2005 12:04:31 PM
Life has been "fun with video camera lately."  Yummy.  I have videos and pictures to share.

I wonder can we post pictures of what we DO to other people on the accounts?

Can anyone tell me how to get more SOUND when you video tape?

Has anyone EVER actually gotten caught by police during "road scenes"?

How do you get better light for filming in national and state parks?  You'ld think the park services would do a better job of letting light into the parks!

And, please, tell me WHY DO DOMS HAVE SUCH BAD TOYS?  Sheesh.... I had a submissive bring me a "flogger" from another Dom.  I've seen STUFFED ANIMALS that hurt more than the flogger.  My toys scare teh CRAP out of her.  Really now, only use QUALITY pain products, especially if you are going to snag them for my use on you.

:)
5/14/2005 11:58:54 AM
A Brazil entry... I've avoided writing about Brazil to try and say this in a better fashion...

I recently came back from Brazil and as everyone asks, yes the people are very beautiful there.  The most beautiful in the world.  But plastic surgery does that - the world leader in plastic surgery!  Not my bag.  And, like Thailand, it's a place where people are bought, not freely given and devoted.  Again not my scene.

If you'ld like pictures, just ask.  And my next journal entry will be more fun!
5/13/2005 5:06:19 PM
I've been told my cell phone has been blocking my Yahoo/MSN/AOL messenger.  BAD VERICHAT!

I will give anyone who experienced this problem a treat.  I do love to shoot pictures and videos ;)
4/14/2005 2:21:08 PM
I'll be posting a bit about my trip to Brazil here over the next few days... for many people on this site Brazil would be PARADISE
2/19/2005 8:10:59 AM
On the obvious news, I'm traveling more now - bought tickets to FL, Brazil and NC for the next month.  But, more importantly, I've added a few changes to my profile.

People don't really have to understand, or even follow this comment, because it is very introspective.  The most important of the profile changes reflects the realization of how important role-playing is to me and how a bright, RPG playing, submissive would be a far, far more practical permanent relationship for me than any "boardroom queens, bedroom whore" could ever be.
12/7/2004 9:08:56 PM
Yea! A 512 MB SD card...now I can videotape fuil-length feature films - any exhibitionists out there? BTW, for any hopefully-intelligent subbies or slaves out there; my PhD sadly was a coursework option; so I skipped my MASTERS THESIS and went straight for the doctoral one! But I have my STUDENTS' Masters' Theses for you yo learn!
10/13/2004 7:13:01 PM
Life has taken a downturn. Looking for a new subbie - she never really adjusted to the new constraints imposed. Sadly, I have rennaisance faire, NBA, and theatre tickets to now give away! Hopefully will find a more culture-driven submissive soon!
9/21/2004 8:25:15 PM
Recently enjoyed play quite a bit with special people from this site and have developed a taste for making videos. Now I need a 4 hour SD card to keep my camera going long enough !
9/9/2004 9:52:49 PM
Whew! Hold enough vanilla parties and eventually your kinky friends find you and your address out ;)
9/8/2004 5:03:01 PM
I've started videotaping...does anyone know of a "Beginners guide to creating pornography?" Fun stuff! But I wish I had longer arms! Odd...living IN a hotel PERMANENTLY I go on vacation and PREFER my apartment! LoL!!!
8/29/2004 12:51:10 PM
I am hoping that future submissives can keep up - both in and out of the bedroom! Life is pretty busy with frequent travel and parties, so I expect that one can compromise, enjoy and luxuriate!
7/30/2004 9:42:22 PM
Laugh...after months of "wow! My life is luxury" I now realize - "yes, my apartment actually CAN be rented as a hotel room!" No wonder life has been so good. It is also a Friday night blessing to know subbies who get free passes to things!
7/10/2004 7:44:28 PM
What an enjoyable email to read: bingo David... you wrote the perfect intro email...
