| I am an older guy looking for a possible LTRTPE with the right woman that is willing to relocate to me. There's a lot of "talk" about having a mind and being ones self. It occurs that real thinking and understanding stands in opposition to belief structures. When a person "truely" believes something, then all information is filtered to justify the belief. Changing the belief requires tearing down the mental and physical structure to either open the mind or transplant a new belief system. |

Though not a great fan of the Hon. Thomas Jefferson, he did have a few ideas worth considering. He was constantly on his daughters regarding proper decorum. Their purpose was to enhance domestic bliss. "(Her) whole life ought to revolve around the husband, hearth...be intelligent, talented, a good companion, and, a good homemaker."
He wrote to his daughter concerning dress:
A lady who has been seen as a sloven or slut in the morning will never efface the impression she has made, with all dress and pageantry she can afterwards involve herself in...I hope therefore, the moment you rise from bed, your first work will be to dress yourself in such style as that you may be seen by any gentleman without his being able to discover a pin amiss.
