I just got back from GLLA last night, after an awesome post-event cookout with friends, and I'm admittedly experiencing a bit of event drop. I met so many truly fantastic people and made some great new friends. I'm really hoping to stay in touch with them. I learned so much, not just about the lifestyle, but about myself. I have a lot of thinking to do about what this weekend meant for me. It was an absolute blast, and I really am sad it's over. It's great to get home to my boys, they are my true loves, but I do miss the camaraderie and joy that only a bunch of kinky people bent on hurting each other and enjoying themselves while they do it possess.

I successfully changed a tire on the interstate at four in the morning the other night in yellow stilettos. Between my guttural cries of effort in trying to get the torque-wrenched lugnuts off, I realized there's a little warrior princess in everyone. Some more than others. <Pointing at self> *grin*

Yep, I know. I'm listed as a switch now. It's something I've been debating for quite some time. I can't list myself as a submissive anymore. It doesn't sum me up. I'm so authoritative and in control where my daily life is concerned that the title just isn't accurate. And I do top my husband every now and again, and I'll be the first to admit that it's a turn-on. I do still possess the deep desire to submit, but I also have a strong desire to dominate.
