in the last three or four weeks I sent messages to 18 different Australian women complimenting them on their profile pictures. I only picked the ones that I genuinely liked, and in the messages I explained the reasons why I liked them.
(as an example... one of the girls has a picture from the old Bizarre magazine on her profile. Update for 2011:

It's funny; lots of girls complain about the abundance of sickos and lack of "normal" men on this site. Yet, when you send them a normal, calm, polite email, listing what you like about their profile, they never bother replying back. I personally find it amusing. |

The amount of scam and fake on these sites just beggars belief. My own estimations are that nine out of ten female profiles on collarme and alt.com are fake, in reality this ratio could be even worse. The best and most obvious way to uncover a scammer/faker is to look at the profile photos. Most of them use professional quality Penthouse-style pictures, sometimes even with the logos still visible. The other thing you could do is google an extract from their profile. Take this one for example (this "lady" tried to get in touch with me on alt.com by winking at me): "I don't seek perfection because I am not perfect. Describing oneself is never easy, but here I go... I am just a normal lady... Who has so much love inside and is ready and willing to share it with the right man..." Once the tears of tenderness and affection subside, quick google search brings a bitter disappointment: there seem to be HUNDREDS of the same profiles on various dating sites around the world (ironically most of them are male versions). So don't be too quick to respond, and remember that it's a good idea to be a little paranoid when you're on the internet. Stay safe and don't get caught (unless you want to... in which case I can help *wink*). |
